2 Antique Victorian Sheffield Heavy Silver plate on Copper Covered Vegetable/ Casseroles. These are beautiful Mappin& Webb English Silverplate Princess Plate. They are a matched pair. The Large and Very Ornate Finial Handles are removeable so that the cover can be turned over and used as another bowl/ dish. The silver plate on the inside of each is superb! no wear at all! The silverplate on the outside is equally as nice except for the points of the squared corners of the top(see photo detail) where a bit of the copper is peeking through. Otherwise. Superb! No dents. Each bowl is 10 1/2" x 7 1/2" and 1 1/2" deep. When covered each casserole stands 6" to top of finial. These are very old circa 1860-1899 and in excellent and usable condition! Antique Victorian Old Sheffield Silver Plate Bead Reversible Warmer Centerpiece A wonderful and unusual Victorian old Sheffield Silver Plate reversible plate warmer table centerpiece with beaded oil burner. From circa mid 19th century. This fabulous warmer can be reversed to either utilize a round and an oval plate platform. The platforms are held with serpentine wire-work to hold the central burner. The heavy burner is perfectly held in a pivot system which allows it to swing as the warmer is turned over. The burner has wonderful bead work decorations and just needs a wick and some fuel to get going. The plate warmer measures approximately 6 inches high. The round plate platform is about 9 1/4 inches across and the oval plate platform about 15 x 9 inches. The warmer is in excellent condition with no dents. This exceptional article of workmanship is museum quality. In complete working order. It comes well marked with the W A Hallmarks. 411239. Each door and base underneath is marked 80. 81, 82. The gold washed interior is absolutely flawless and thickly lavished. There are no signs of repairs. It closes just fine and all three spring loaded door latch rings are in working order. There's no wear through to base metal on the any of the tri-fold body sections- no even close to it. In fact. Other than light(if any) wear simply from storage and age, this gem doesn't appear to have been ever used. It has been extremely well taken care of and exhibits no unexpected ... moredents or pings(zero) deep scratches, or mechanical damage. simply BREATH-TAKING!
