One bottle seems to have original stopper. The rest are missing their toppers. The castor unit is made of silver electroplated metal. The handle seems to be missing its electroplating probably from use. Size: The entire set stands 14 inches tall 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The cruet bottle with stopper is 7" tall Castor sets were popular from the 1890s to the first world war. And were used in the center of every dining table. Condition: Very good pre-owned item. Silverplate has worn on handles and in other places on the piece. 4 bottles on missing their toppers. Every bo ttle has a different pattern. So they may not all be original t o the castor set. But from the same era- do not know. This is a rare find and can be a great piece to add to your collection. I am not an antique dealer so if you have any questions at all. Rare large old antique silver plate Mappin Brothers table cruet condiment stand
Here we have a rare large old antique mid to late Victorian Mappin Brothers( 1850 to 1903 period) cruet- condiment stand. It measures about 25cm high to top of handle and the base unit is about 20 x 16 cm and oval in shape, it stands on four ball feet with eight spaces for condiments etc five are 49mm in inside diameter, one 39mm inside diameter and the two smaller ones each end are 17mm inside diameter, the side of the set is decorated as shown and with a small blank cartouche on either side, on the base it has the marks Mappin Brothers 222 Regent Street and London Bridge and capped with the Sun symbol with face, Mappin Brothers ran from 1850 up until 1902/ 3 we believe) the condition almost excellent but has lost one of its rounded retaining nuts on the base which hold the inner stand but it is still stable and an easy fix with a normal ... morenut of the correct size about 3mm I think.

It is 17 inches tall, has an etched floral design around the cruet stand, which revolves. In tarnished, unpolished condition, but I found no areas of surface loss. No cruets are included. A pretty antique Victorian Silver Plate Condiment Castor and Cruet Set in very good condition. But with only four bottles instead of five. I can't find a name or mark except for the number 2169 on the bottom. The top design is a child picking apples with a circle on the very top. It doesn't seem to have any dents or any missing silverplate. It is 16" tall x 7" in diam. at the cruet holder. There are two cruets with faceted stoppers. One stopper has a teeny chip on the very top and a teeny chip on one of the points. I think these are daisy and button designs. Those two are 8 3/4" to the top of the stopper. The other two are 8 3/4" tall with silverplate salt shaker tops. One has a small chip on the rim under the screw on top. Everything seems to be great and very pretty.

Overall height is about 15-1/2" tall Bottles are all intact with no cracks or chips. Antique Victorian Silver Plate Cut Glass Etched Bottle Caster Cruet Set Shaker
Stunning VICTORIAN antique unmarked but I believe it to be silver plate caster set with cut glass etched bottles. This set is so very nice. It is large and measures 13" tall. Each bottle measures between 5"7" tall. The set is used but in good condition. One bottle has old tape on the bottom from where it was broken and put back together at some point and one of the shakers is chipped under the shaker top. You can't see this because it's underneath the silver lid. The top caring handle features a soldier on one side and a man on the other. The spoon maybe solid silver, it is marked with 3 numbers but I can not read them. The entire set displays beautifully as you can see. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thank you!

Antique silver plate cruet set. Pedestal base 16-3/4 inches tall with domed bottom, 6-3/4 inches in diameter. Short stem with band around bottom with panels of leaves and top pedestal with raised leaves. Top pedestal has 6 holes and only 5 bottles. Screw on handle has arched top. Open flowers and circle in center. Bottles include 3 7-3/4 inches tall with silver shaker tops. Upper portion of glass has cut circles and oblong pieces on bottom. Another piece has hinged silver top. 5-3/4 inches tall. Vinegar cruet is 9 inches tall and has swirled bottom and glass stopper. All pieces have etched centers of leaves. Stand marked Meridian Silver Plate Co. All in good condition. 1 missing bottle and one bottle cloudy, silver worn on handle.

Antique Cruet Set For sale is an antique cruet set from the R. Strickland Company from Albany New York. This company was in operation from 1857- 1884. It is stamped on the bottom: R. Strickland Warranted Treble Plated Albany N. Y. The condition is good overall with tarnishing to the silverplate and some damage to a few of the pieces. One of the cruets with stoppers has a large chip out of the lid and one has a small chip out. The mustard has a rough lip from use and a missing spoon. One stopper has a large chip. A fabulous and wonderful find. Which came to us in a black condition, our silversmith has worked wonders to professionally clean to create a magnificent example. The cruet is in the form of a Butler's Tray, made from solid English Oak and silver plated mounts and stand. The stand is marked by the silversmith, which is for Henry Bourne& Daniel J. O'Neill of Birmingham, only operated between 1881-1886, so easy to date. The inserts are cut glass and silver plate, the mustard and pepper with pagoda shaped tops. Antique Silver Plated Cruet or Preserve Stand A very good quality Silver Plated Cruet or preserve stand It is lovely. Leaf shaped, and with space for 3 jars or pots and two spoons. It is in good condition with no splits or dents. And only minor wear to the heavy silver plating commensurate with age and use. It is a nice thing. With the decorative leaves to the handle and it's naturalistic form. It may be by Boardman Glossop. But although it has a good set of marks to the base, I'm not able to make them out with any certainty. It stands about 12cm or 4.5 inches tall. Is about 8.5 inches or 22cm in length and about 6 inches or 15cm wide. It will hold two spoons on the handle fitting. And the three holes for the pots have diameters of about 6cm, and two at 4.5cm. I'm not sure what the two raised peaks are for at one end of the tray- ... moreut they would hold eg cups with an indented base maybe? or something similar It dates to somewhere around 1890- 1900. Antique Silver Plate Cruet Set with Etched glass bottles, tall
For anyone who was looking. I found the bottles and revised the listing, and raised the start price a bit. I also changed the shipping info, as the box is larger and heavier now.As you can see in the pictures, this has been warped. It stands 16 inches tall and is about 7 inches diameter. I can't guarantee that the bottles and dish are the originals, but they match pretty well and fit in the slots.

Antique Meriden Silverplate Silver Quadruple Plate Cruet Castor Set 6 Glass Jars
Up for auction is a nice example of an antique Victorian cruet castor set made by the Meriden Silver Plate Company. This is a rotating castor or cruet set with 6 etched and dimpled glass bottles. The holder stands about 14 1/2" tall to the top of the handle. It is engraved with the hallmark of a lion and the words" MERIDEN SILVER PLATE. CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE" with the No. 0348. The bottles include; a salt& pepper holder with silverplate caps. Each about 7 1/2" tall, 3 oil/vinegar bottles, about 9" tall including the glass stoppers. And 1 mustard style bottle that is about 5 1/2" tall with a hinged silverplate lid. The holder has nice detail at the top handle, and engraved design on the hanging edge. See enlarged photos for condition. The silverplate is tarnished and has scratches and minor loss to the silverplate ... morein spots. Three of the glass bottles are in excellent condition. But the 3 oil/ vinegar bottles all have chips at the top(in the same spot on each) and the stoppers have missing bottoms/chipped bottoms. As you can tell from the photos, these are not as obvious when used in display. I HAVE NOT CLEANED! Photos taken with and with out flash.
