The stand shows great Victorian design with four great Bun Feet. The Egg Cups are equally nice with pierced designs throughout. The stand is marked WH& S for the fine Period Silversmiths William Hutton& Sons of Sheffield England and this mark dates to around 1890. Overall the Stand and Egg Cups are in excellent condition. No plate loss, only the spoons show some wear. The service is a nice size for modern use, with the stand measuring approx 6-1/2" tall to the top of the handle, by 6" across the base and each of the egg cups measuring approx 2-3/4" tall by 2" across the top opening. Antique English Silver Plated Egg Cruet For Three c.1910
A really unusual egg cruet dating to around 1910/1920 made from English silverplate. The set came to us completely black and has been polished and re-plated where necessary by our silversmiths. The egg cups are most unusual with the egg spoons having a complimentary looped terminals. The base is created from three leaf shaped panels. Again supported by loop type feet. Each of the egg cups sits on it's own individual pin, keeping it in place. Unmarked apart from a style of design number, it remains in excellent condition ready for use. 8 1/4" tall. STUNNING SILVER PLATE EGG CRUET WITH TOAST RACK COMPLETE SET WONDERFUL WHISMSICAL ENGLISH BREAKFAST SERVICE FOR TWO A most unusual antique silver plate Toast Rack with Egg Cups condiment set. Great Figural of an Indian Teepee tripod with a fantastic aesthetic design from the turn of the century. This serving set is based on a Tee Pee design of three poles tied together with rope at the top. There is a tapered pole across the top that is designed so that the entire piece may be carried by two fingers to be served when suitably filled. Intergral to two of the poles is a three slice Toast Rack with built in clips to hold the butter knife There are two spaces for footed Egg Cups. As well as a great acorn shaped salt/pepper shaker with a crimped edge to match the base of the piece. A glass lined open jam/jelly cup footed with matching spoon, and ... morea low glass butter dish again with matching crimped edge design. The entire piece sits on a circular crimped edge base atop three ball feet. Two of the poles have built in holders for the two matching egg spoons. Very unusual to find a set fully complete, combining toast rack with the egg cups. Measures 9 1/2 inches high. With the base being 5 7/8 inches in daimeter. A very lovely Victorian silver plated egg cruet with six settings and corresponding original spoons. In the late Victorian Gothic revival style and in absolutely excellent condition. The silver plate is virtually as new with no rub through or damage. Six"Fiddle back" spoons are all original to the piece as are all the cups. Each item being stamped with the manufacturers mark. This is a nice old UNIQUE 4 cup egg cruet with 3 twisted spoon on a stand. I do believe it is Rare because I can not find many things made by G& S. It is in pretty good condition. See pictures for condition. One of the cups top edge is bent slightly and the silver plating is not perfect. I'm pretty sure it is silver plating. Please do your research if you are in doubt. It does need to be cleaned. See pictures. It does have 3 unique twisted spoons with ball on the end. The legs also have a greek key design. I can not find another one like it on ebay or anywhere on the internet. It has G& S EP and then London. The# 2232 is under this. It may even be an ANTIQUE. The whole thing measures almost 8" tall.
