Heavily decorated with hand punched floral swags with bows around the outside of the bowl and having two open cartouche on either side the top finished with a good heavy roped edge and the inside being gilded. It stands on a round and decorated stepped foot which is weighted to make it more stable and stand firm when in use. The condition is very good with no dents or damage that I can see. The silver plating is still good with only a few scratches and specs missing all consistent with it's age. The gilding to the inside is still good with only a few scratches and a little plating missing to the bottom to show the copper base metal. This genuine antique silver plated period piece would look spectacular displayed in any home and would certainly make a statement on the dining table if not used for champagne or punch filled with fruit or flowers. Please excuse my pictures as they don't show this piece well at all. Offered is a beautiful copy of an old silverplate rare designed Warwick Vase Capana Urn Wine Cooler. This is an exquisite piece which is very ornate in detail throughout the entire piece. This is marked on removable lid ring as shown with a French Motto. The cooler insert is removable as well. This appears to have been mounted on a plinth base and/or use as a trophy piece at one point as there are 4 holes in base bottom. The urn shows wear typical of age and use with expected loss to the finish and a few dings which do not detract from this piece in the least. Beautiful heirloom and decorative urn for any decor. Amazing silver plate ice chiller bucket. Purchased at an Estate Sale. I do not know how old it is, the lady said, this piece has been in her family for as long as she can remember. not marked. Heavy, wonderfully crafted, with little flower handles. T he piece measures approx. 10. 5" tall with a diameter of 8.5" at the top opening. When I got it. It was BLACK, so I have polished the silver and it came out great. I only found one, very tiny little spo t. Hidden behind one of the handle s where it is miss ing plat e. About a 16th" speck. FINE 1790-1820 SHEFFIELD SILVER PLATE WINE COOLER/CHAMPAGNE BUCKET GRAPES DESIGN Presented is a fine old Sheffield fused silver plate wine cooler or champagne bucket. This piece dates to 1790-1820. The wine cooler is very ornate. With thematically appropriate applied decorations in the form of grapes, vines, and grape leaves around the base, body, handles, and rim. These decorations are quite realistic and detailed, very well done. As the photos show, the wine cooler has applied silver insets to accommodate the crests. This is typical of old Sheffield plate pieces from 1790-1820. On one side is a crest of a bird with is claw on a ball. On the other side is a full crest above a banner with the Latin motto, Libertas' The interior of the bucket is tinned, to protect ... morefrom any corrosion from the ice and water that would be used. This piece is in excellent overall condition. The silver plating is in great shape. There is an old solder repair around where the base meets the body. Which is extremely hard to notice without turning the piece over and inspecting it closely. There is a split on one side of the base, but it is still quite sound. The handles are in good shape, and have not had any breaks or restorations. There are no dents, and no monogram removals. The wine cooler stands about 12 inches tall. Vintage Leonard Silverplate Silver Plate Champagne Wine Cooler Ice Bucket
This vintage champagne or wine cooler measures 10 1/4" tall. 9 1/2" wide at the handles, and the bucket portion of the cooler(excluding the handles) is 8 7/8" wide. The opening of the bucket/cooler is 5 7/8" wide by 7 1/2" deep. It is comprised of silver plate and made by Leonard Silverplate and is marked as such on the bottom. The top rim of the cooler is decorated with a gadrooned edge. It has two large handles that are decorated with a scrollwork design and measure 2 7/8" wide and project 1 7/8" outward from the body. It has a pedestal base for added stability. The piece is in very good, used condition, although it seems as though it has been barely used. I have given it a quick polishing but it would benefit from further TLC. The piece is quite beautiful, and hefty, weighing in at 3 1/2 pounds. Antique Georigan OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE Wine COOLER Silver plate Champagne BUCKET
This listing is for an Antique Georgian"Old Sheffield Plate" Silver plated WINE COOLER circa 1820. The champagne bucket stands approximately 10 inches in height by approximately 9 1/2 inches across the top and 5 1/4 inches across the base. This three piece wine holder consists of a handled outer body. An inside liner and a rim insert. The sturdy handles are decorated with acanthus leaves. I have included several photos of the cooler prior to polishing as it clearly shows the piece of Solid Silver which was often cut into Old Sheffield Plate items so as to allow for engraving without having the copper show through as would be the case if the engraving were done else where on the cooler- as you can see from the balance of the photos. This cut in plate virtually disappears when the item is polished. The cooler is quite heavy with a ... moreweight of 7.56 pounds. There is some wear thru to the plate- most notably one mark on one side of the cooler- please see photos- this wear through doesn't make sense- I believe that some previous owner. Who was not familiar with"Old Sheffield Plate" saw what is a seam mark from the making of the cylinder for the body of the cooler and mistook it for oxidation in the silver plate and just simply rubbed the silver plate off trying to get rid of something that was not going to go away) As well there are also some minor nicks around the top edge. One light dent in the body of the cooler and some minor scratches- please see photos- not in perfect condition, but still very presentable and with good character. Please see my other items! HEINRICHS SOLD RESTAURANT WARE AND THIS IS POSSIBLY A PIECE OF RESTAURANT WARE. IT NEEDS TO BE POLISHED TO ITS FORMER GLORY BUT I'LL LEAVE THAT UP TO THE LUCKY BUYER. THIS ITEM MEASURES 8 1/4" TALL. THE OPENING IS OVAL AND MEASURES 7 4/8" IN ONE DIRECTION AND 7" IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. THIS IS A VERY STURDY PIECE AND IS PROBABLY SILVER OVER COPPER WHICH HEINRICHS SEEMED TO USE FREQUENTLY. Towle Vintage Silver Plate Wine Champagne Ice Bucket Cooler Ice Insert Lg
Up for your consideration is this gorgeous a vintage Silver plate champagne/wine/ice bucket by Towle. Features aluminum insert with ornate handles& rim. The Ice Bucket measures approximately 10" tall and 8 1/2" across the top. The outside is in very good condition with a only few very light surface scratches which do not detract from the piece. The aluminum insert and inside shows appropriate signs of use. No metal ware or dents to the plating. Could use some buffing to bring to full luster. Pictures showing a light patina. An extremely nice piece to have for that special bottle of champagne or wine and perfect for your Hollywood Regency decor. Please study the pictures and ask questions prior to bidding when possible.
