The castor measures 10 inches ... morehigh to the top of the handle and is 8 inches at its widest. The glass insert measures 6 inches high to the finial on the cover and is 4 3/4 inches in diameter across the bottom of the jar. This fine silver plate piece features a round base with 4 cabriole feet in the Rococo style. It has oval medallions around the base with a scrolling acanthus leaf handle that raises above the base. The glass jar is acid etched and hand painted with a large landscape scene featuring a mother and child walking on a large estate. The painting is further enhanced with heavy applied gold enameling. The castor is marked on verso "G.A.B. NS 1900", this for a possible Swedish maker.

All the items I sell are pre-owne d and may have wear from age. Use, and storage. This is from one of our estate sales. I started to clean to show design. The cruets have two different stoppers. Not sure which is the original and they have some chipping on bottom of stoppers. Two of the shakers the tops come off. The other two shakers one short and one tall work fine. The caddy seems to be in good shape from dents or dings. Not sure of the condition and if all will clean or if there is pitting. It is smooth to the touch and does not feel like pitting. Still needs cleaning. Has what appears to be a repair on edge. Beautiful Rogers silverplate revolving castor set. The bottles have an etched circle pattern like a thumbprint all the way around and down to the bottom of the bottle. The five bottles are all in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and all have their tops. The 2 tall bottles have 2 slightly different stoppers but similar. They are both blown but different shape don't know if they were supposed to be that way or one was replaced. Both fit perfectly. The silverplate does have some overall wear especially on the handle. It has a beautiful wavy design on the side and a lovely beaded design on the edges. The handle is also nice designed. Although I can't find a mark I have referred this as Rogers because it just looks like a Rogers piece and there probably is a mark somewhere. Up for auction is this Vintage Silver CASTOR SET Condiment Cruet with six(6) Bottles. Silver Plate. Pictures tell a much better story than I. There are six bottles, and I can find no chips nicks etc. As you can see from the last pic, it needs a good cleaning, but it does shine very nicely. The date on the base is 1879 and on the opposite side is the name ROSE. Again, in VERY good condition. Four bottles have stoppers, again, no chips etc. The other two is for salt and pepper with screw on tops. Approx 18" high, cruets are approx. 8" Bottles are etched. EG WEBSTER & SON ANTIQUE QUADRUPLE SILVER PLATE CASTOR/CONDIMENT SET
DESCRIPTION This is a quadruple silver plate and etched glass castor set by EG Webster& Son(New York) Based on my research of this particular makers mark. I believe this set dates between 1860 and 1875 when EG Webster& Son was changed to EG Webster& Brother. The set has 5 glass bottles of the same pattern glass which in itself is a rarity. The two glass stoppers are in excellent unchipped condition. They fit nice and tightly on the bottles and the other 3 silver plate tops screw on tightly and fit perfectly. I don't know very much about silverplate however this set appears to be in remarkably good condition with no dents and very little wear to the silver plating. Part of the makers mark has worn off where it reads quadruple plate and only the Q and the U is still visible(photo#4) however the mark as a whole is still clear. ... moreThere is also a 4 digit number that is hand engraved in two places on the underside of the revolving stand. That number is 3626. The stand and base have a very nice etched fan and leaf design and the handle has a pretty raised design. The handle also unscrews for easy storage. Antique Victorian Reed and Barton Condiment Cruet Castor 5 Piece Set
Antique Reed and Barton condiment/cruet set. It has 5 bottles. One of which is a little different than the others. It blends in just fine, but does not have the etching that the others do. The top is missing off the mustard jar. There are some chips on the stopper and on the top of the cruet itself where it is ground out so they blend in pretty well. There are a couple manufacturing defects. a couple small bubbles or defects in the glass. A couple of minor dings in the tops of the bottles. No cracks of any kind. I have not cleaned or polished this, I will leave that up to buyer. Overall in good condition for its age. The spoon in the picture is NOT included. Please ask questions before bidding.

RARE ANTIQUE 5 HOLE CASTOR STAND CONDIMENT HOLDER SILVERPLATE POT METAL PEWTER
Up for auction my RARE ANTIQUE c1800's 5 HOLE POT METAL PEWTER look CASTOR HOLDER STAND. This is a great old Castor Stand measuring 13 1/2" tall X 6" diameter at the widest point. Each of the 5 holes measures 1 3/4" diameter. This appears to have been silver plated in its prime. However most of that has worn off. This is a very old piece, mid to late 1800's and these metal holders did not stand up well to heavy daily use. They were usually replaced several times in the lifetime of the glass Castor Set itself. These are hard to come by and I truly hate to part with it. This has a wonderful Old World pewter look. It retains its original old patina. This looks used. There is a slight bend in the outer ring and salt or corrosion at the feet(see photos) and a small ding or two. There are no cracks, breaks or repairs. This ... moreis beautifully and artfully designed, with a finely detailed carry handle and 3 fancy feet. Beneath the carry handle there is a detailed peas-in-a-pod or corn-row motif. Overall the piece has a simple elegance. This is one of the nicer Castor Stands I have seen over the years. This is not junk. It is solid and sturdy. It stands well with good balance. It is well made, quite heavy. These really are hard to come by so this is a great find. I am downsizing and need to let some of my favorite possessions go. Antique Victorian Condiment Castor with Five Etched Glass Bottles
Up for auction is an antique Victorian ornate condiment castor. There are 5 bottles with the castor and all the bottles appear to be original to the silver plated castor. I am certain that one stopper is not original to the cruet bottle and I am not sure about the other one. None of the bottles are cracked. But the bottles with the lids have chips around the rims(can't be seen due to the lids) The castor was made by Boston Silverplate. Circa 1900. It has a lovely patina. It is approximately 16 1/2 tall. The bottles are all etched.

Up for sale a lovely antique condiment/cruet castor set-silverplate. This has an engraved carousel and includes the salt& pepper shakers. A mustard jar and the vinegar& oil cruets. The bottles are etched with a pretty design,and are in great condition with the exception of 1 small chip on the edge of one of the cruets. Also the bottom of one of the stoppers has some chipping on the piece that fits in the bottle. I also noted a small chip spot on the metal of the mustard jar.Please see all pictures-I try to note everything I see. This has no markings, Mother" is engraved on the side of the carousel-picture 3. The rim along the side has beautiful engraving of leaves and a pretty scrolling design-runs around the entire rim. Also the bottom has the number 35 imprinted. There is an old receipt from the previous owner showing purchased ... morein 1981 from the Galloping Horse Antique Store-with original purchase price of $250.00. Which I would send with the holder. A nice set-not perfect but I was told this dates from late 1800's to early 1900's-although I will say I am definitely not an expert on this. Is 11" tall and weighs 3 lbs 2 oz with the bottles. The condition overall is good with plenty of wear. The frame is bent at the tip and the top level of the frame is bent down from the weight of the bottles. Three of the bottles look original and the the forth is likely a replacement. It stands 4 ¾ inches tall and 3 ¼ inches in diameter at the mouth and base. UP FOR AUCTION IS A VICTORIAN JAMES TUFTS SILVER COMPANY PICKLE OR CONDIMENT CASTOR WITH A SALMON/PINK THUMBPRINT JAR. LID AND TONGS. THE FEET AND LID FINIAL DEPICT ROSES. This castor is 10 1/2" tall. There are no nicks. Cracks or chips in the glass. Jar is 4" tall x 3" in diameter at the rim. It is a beautiful rose/salmon color with a thumbprint pattern. The plating is in excellent condition with very light wear for the age. The tongs are resting on a groove on the rope twist support rods and doesn't look like the frame ever had a tong holder since the silver plating is intact throughout. Bakelite SP & Cut Glass Oblong Victorian Cruet Condiment Castor Set 6 Bottles
~ Victorian Silver Plate Condiment Set ~ Gorgeous 14-piece. All original set made in the 1890s. It includes 6 cut glass crystal bottles with stoppers and 2 silver plate lidded jars. One jar includes a twisted silver plate spoon. The handle is black Bakelite and capped on the ends with decorative silver plate finials. Although this set displays just beautifully. It has some imperfections including tarnish. Fleabites, cracks and flakes. I've taken close-ups to show the most serious flaws. Both faceted stoppers have chips/roughness around their tendrils, one of the mushroom-shaped stoppers has a 3/4" cracked flange, there is a chip out of the rim of one bottle, there are fleabites on some corners and a few flakes around the mouths of the bottles/jars. One bottle has a little cloudiness to it. The others are all pretty clean and shiny. ... moreStill a knock-out set! This is a large set and all together it weighs 6 lbs. The castor is 10.5" long by 5" wide. It is 9" tall and the handle is almost 6" long. The base has 4 silver plated attached ball feet and it is impressed with"E.P.N.S. There is a shield-like face plate on each side of the holder which I believe was designated for a monogram. Low opening bid and no reserve!

Antique Victorian Condiment Castor Cruet Set 6 Piece Silver Plate [1856]
We looked for a makers mark but could not find it. We found a date of aug 1856 on the ball on tpp of the bell. We have not been able to find a similar item with the bell. It definitely shows signs of its over 150 years of age and use but a great piece for someone who wants a restoration project. We think to the right person and a little TLC and elbow grease this item may once again grace the center of the table. Antique Victorian Silver Plate Condiment Castor and Cruet Set, only four bottles
A pretty antique Victorian Silver Plate Condiment Castor and Cruet Set in very good condition. But with only four bottles instead of five. I can't find a name or mark except for the number 2169 on the bottom. The top design is a child picking apples with a circle on the very top. It doesn't seem to have any dents or any missing silverplate. It is 16" tall x 7" in diam. at the cruet holder. There are two cruets with faceted stoppers. One stopper has a teeny chip on the very top and a teeny chip on one of the points. I think these are daisy and button designs. Those two are 8 3/4" to the top of the stopper. The other two are 8 3/4" tall with silverplate salt shaker tops. One has a small chip on the rim under the screw on top. Everything seems to be great and very pretty.

The mark isn't very clear, the only way I can read it is with good lighting with a loupe. It measures approx. 14.1/2" tall and 6.1/2" in diameter. The caddy has a salt shaker, a sugar container along with a spoon, and two cruets. One of the cruets doesn't have the etched design that the other three have so I don't think it goes with the set. It was with them when I got the set though so I'll leave it with it. Neither of the cruets have stoppers. The caddy has a dark patina from age and has wear from age and use. 1881 Rogers Antique Meriden Condiment Castor, Server-Etched Glass- Silverplate
A beautiful estate find. Marked Rogers Smith. Meriden Ct. All the parts are present and really in decent condition for its age. It rotates like a lazy susan around the middle so you don't have to pick it up and turn it. The picture of the complete set looks a little wonky but in reality all the bottles and jars sit quite upright in the holder. There are two things to report: in picture 8 you can see the maker's mark to the right of the round hole that the bottle sits in. To the left of that hole is an inverted dent as though something hit it from below at some point. Honestly, I did not notice this until I was uploading the pictures and seeing it all very close up. Also, the stopper on one of the bottles is not as pointed as the other as it has been ground down somewhat. These are typical blemishes for a piece as old as this one and ... moreif they are glaring imperfections is a judgment call on the part of the buyer. So look closely and ask any questions you may have. This is an old item and has wear indicative of that age. I leave the cleaning of the piece to you. It is just as I found it at the Estate Auction. But I think it will clean up nicely.

Middletown Quadruple Plate Castor Condiment Revolving Shakers No Match 5 Cruets
This is rally cool even though the cruets don't match. One cruet does have a chip on the lip but all the others are in good uncracked and unchipped condition. The stoppers don't really fit either but this is the condition I found it. I have always thought I would replace the stoppers but haven't done so. I'm sure replacing them would be fairly easy. Antique Meriden Quad Silverplate Etched Glass Castor Condiment Cruet Set w/ bell Six pieces of glass with carrier. Glass is etched, all pieces are in excellent condition, there is a pull in the center of the piece and when pulled up and pushed down the bell has a great sound. Makes you want to say" more toast please James" Silverplate is marked underneath Meriden quadruple plate patented 3033. Keep your oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar and mustard? at hand in this fantastic piece, when I bought it at an estate sale it was all about the unique bell and having all six pieces intact.

1800s Racine Co. Victorian Silver Plate Castor Cruet Condiment Bottle Holder
Antique cruet 6 piece set manufactured by the Racine S.P. Co. Racine silver plate company) located in Racine. WI until a fire in 1882. The company salvaged what they could and moved to Rockford, IL and became the Rockford silver company. That makes this set currently a minimum of 132 years old and highly collectible. Triple silver plate rotating tray holds 5 glass and silver condiment bottles. Three bottles feature etched glass with silver plated tops. Presumably. Salt, pepper and mustard or sugar(there is no soon)Two bottles are clear ornamental glass with a bubble pattern, presumably for oil and vinegar. Over all condition is very nice. But the tray has one small dent on edge(see pic) and features a pretty etched pattern all the way around. It has not been polished. The shape of the rotating tray is not perfectly round. But that is difficult ... moreto tell if that is a design feature, or if the tray was slightly misshapen after market sometime during its life. Some of the bottles have a little residue in the bottom. I do not know if that is permanent. Or can come out with proper cleaning. One of the oil/ vinegar bottles has a very small chip on the lip, see pic) I do not see any other chips or cracks on the bottles. I'm selling this piece as is. And I have described it to the best of my ability. Please look at the pics carefully and feel free to ask any further questions. Vintage Pickle Condiment Castor with Silverplate Caddy and Fork
Vintage glass pickle castor with caddy marked silver plate made in England. The fork is marked as well. The caddy has lovely filigree and is in very good shape. The glass insert is 3" square. The caddy is 9.5" tall and the fork is 5.5" long. The glass has no chips or cracks I could find. Other than needed a good spit and polish. This lovely piece is in very good condition. All proceeds benefit a local nonprofit senior center.

Nice vintage castor. Condiment Cruet Set. With 5 different containers in the Quadruple plate footed stand. It is marked on the bottom Quadruple plate Jaccard& Co. St Louis. The holder does rotate. The jars that go in the castor have a cut glass design, they do need to be cleaned. They are matching. They are all in great condition except for one and it has a crack at the bottom and there are a couple others that flea bites. Please see the photos. Otherwise it is great condition. Antique Wilcox Silverplate Company Pickle Castor Condiment Server Lidded w spoon
You are bidding on a one of a kind. Server, mustard, or pickle castor or condiment server with a glass insert and a spoon. It is made by Wilcox Silverplate Company#1636, and the spoon doesn't have a name, but says sterling. I don't know if this is the original spoon. I've had this forever, and I don't know the exact age. the top of the container has an engraved initials, MB or MJ, it's very scrolly. It is 3" high and 3" wide. The spoon is 4 3/4" long. The silver plate is cutdown design with glass inside, a floral and leaf design. Very nice. Very ornate and beautiful.

Antique Victorian Sheffield Silver Plate Glass Cruet Castor Condiment Set Tray
Up for auction is a nice antique condiment set. Set comes with two paneled glass bottles with stoppers and two shakers on a silverplate footed stand. Set is overall in good condition. The two shakers each have a chip to the bottom edge. One bottle has a small chip to the bottom edge, wear to the silverplate, the handle on the tray is very loose. Please see photos carefully for details. Stand measures about 7 1/2" H x 6 7/8" x 5 7/8" bottles about 6 1/8" H x 1 3/4" W; shakers 3 3/4" H x 1 3/4" W. Fresh out of a fine old estate! The Rogers frame has a twisted handle and is for a cruet and two shakers. The top inner diameter for the cruet is 3 7/16" and 1 13/16" for the shakers. both taper in slightly. The second holder is a Hartford and is for two shakers and a mustard pot. The top inner diameter is 2 1/8" They also taper in. The Rogers has quite a bit of surface wear on the interior of the holders which is of course concealed by the inserts, we have not done any cleaning or polishing. Antique 6 Bottle Etched Glass Castor Set By Reed& Barton- Cruet/Condiment Set This antique 6 bottle castor set with revolving silverplate holder was made by Reed& Barton. It is rare to find a set this big with all of the matching pieces. Note the charming cherub on the stem. There are three etched cruets with glass stopper and three with silverplate lids. Of the silverplate lid items there is a salt and pepper set with removable lids and a condiment jar with a lid opening for a spoon. There is some light wear to the finish on the silverplating. Two of the glass stoppers have a chip at the base as shown, and one bottle has a bruise crack on it's base but still holds liquid. Also one of the bottles has a chip on the underside of the lip. This is a beauty! It is a set of 5 matching etched castor bottles that fit into a gorgeous frame that spins. All the bottles are free of any chips or cracks and could use a cleaning. All the silver has been REPLATED and is in amazing shape. The photos show shadows and do not do it justice. As it is nicer than it looks! The handle is very ornate and there is a pretty floral pattern around the outside of the apron. There is a stamp underneath the base that is hard to read but does say quadruple plate, has the number 103 and it looks like MERIDEN COMPANY in a circle. From a local estate. Here is an antique silverplate castor set made by Wm Rogers Mfg. 16" tall with a swivel base and 5 original or nicely somewhat matched hand cut and etched bottles and caps.
