Up for auction Antique Victorian Castor Condiment Cruet Set in Silverplate with 5 Bottles Victorian Silverplate 5 Bottle Castor Set Condiment Set Each bottle is decorated with a wheel etched pattern and design and every bottle is slightly different in design and shape. One bottle seems to have original stopper. The rest are missing their toppers. The castor unit is made of silver electroplated metal. The handle seems to be missing its electroplating probably from use. Size: The entire set stands 14 inches tall 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The cruet bottle with stopper is 7" tall Castor sets were popular from the 1890s to the first world war. And were used in the center of every dining table. Condition: Very good pre-owned item. Silverplate has worn on handles and in other places on the piece. 4 bottles on missing their toppers. Every bo ... morettle has a different pattern. Triple Plate on Hard White Metal. The silverplate is nearly all gone but the handle has a beautiful design and the base and turntable have a very pretty etched design. The stand is 17.0" high and the turntable is 8.0" in diameter. There is a slight indentation on the base rim. The piece came with only 3 bottles- 2 shakers and the sugar jar. The silverplate is also worn on these. And they have a frosted or etched leaf design. The shakers are 8.0" tall and the sugar jar is 6.5" tall. On one shaker the lid was at some time cemented onto the bottle and the top unscrews. The other shaker is not cemented and does not stay on- ... moreno threads inside the top. This bottle is very rough around the top rim. The sugar jar lid does not come off- it has a hinged top. NOTE: The stand separates into 3 pieces and will be shipped unassembled. Ornate Antique Silver-plate Cruet Stand by R. Gleason& Sons. It is marked; Patented Dec. 11. 1857 This magnificent cruet stand measures 20 inches tall by 9 inches across when the doors are closed. It has six cruet holders that can be opened and closed with a turn of the knob and a small amount of help. It rotates nicely on the base by turning the finial on the top. It does NOT have the glass cruets present. Three doors are decorated with fish& three are decorated with wild game birds. The cruet base holders are embossed with a floral motif when opened. It does have a hole in the makers mark on the bottom as seen in one of the pictures and 2 other small holes on the bottom. There is a small screw hole in the lower side of the finial but the screw is missing. There is almost a twin to this in a museum in Boston. This is from one of our estate sales. I started to clean to show design. The cruets have two different stoppers. Not sure which is the original and they have some chipping on bottom of stoppers. Two of the shakers the tops come off. The other two shakers one short and one tall work fine. The caddy seems to be in good shape from dents or dings. Not sure of the condition and if all will clean or if there is pitting. It is smooth to the touch and does not feel like pitting. Still needs cleaning. Has what appears to be a repair on edge. The bottles are all etched. The handle has a pretty victorian lady on it. Very old wish was in better condition needs a new home and some TLC. The carousel is marked Connecticut Plate Co. Triple Plate. The handle is very ornate with a free moving decorated carousel and base. There are 5 bottles, 3 of the bottles are matching with an etched flower design around them and the other 2 have a thumb print cut, I do not believe the 2 bottles that are not etched are original to the set plus the stopper is missing on the one bottle. Antique Victorian E.G. Webster& Son Silverplate Pickle Castor with Cranberry Opalescent Hobnail Glass Jar and Tongs- No Reserve. It measures 10 1/2 inches tall. The silverplate stand is marked- Quadruple Plate. 57" along with the E.G. Webster& Son mark. It's in very good condition with no chips or cracks to the jar. The jar fits nicely in the stand. The lid fits loosely so I'm not sure that it's the original. The lid has some wear spots to the silver plating. The stand and tongs are in very good condition.

Beautiful "Sextuple Plate" Silverplate Cruet Set "WM Rogers and Son"
This is a beautiful antique cruet set made by Wm Rogers& Son. Hartford, Connecticut. The mark indicate"Sextuple Plate" and the pictures reveal the shine following a five minute polish. The overall height is 14.5" and the width is 7.5" Three of the cruets are etched glass while two are not, thus clearly a mixed set. However, they re nicely matched. There is some wear evident and I have shown this in the last two pictures. I am not sure of the exact age of this item so I am not calling it Victorian or anything else. Antique Roberts & Belk Silverplate 6 Cut Glass Cruet Set
I am not an antiques expert so I am describing this to the best of my ability. The markings on the bottom of the silver caddy are a lantern. R&B, S, CP, and a crown plus the number 2737. From my research it appears to be a Roberts& Belk- Sheffield, England from 1864-1920. The Cut Crystal Glass decanters and shakers are not chipped or cracked. It is missing a spoon for the hinged top crystal pot. These bottles sparkle and the stoppers really catch the light. I have only wiped the dust off of this piece. I will leave the polishing to you. I love the aged color on the silver. This piece is full of special details. The Salt and Pepper shaker tops have star shaped holes and the caddy has beautiful ornate feet. This is a beautiful Silverplate Cruet Set with 4 Cut Crystal Bottles. The stand is marked“EPNS” and“H. BROS. B” for Haseler Brothers Birmingham. England. They were only in business from 1884 to 1887. The stand is 8” tall on a 4 ½” square base with 4 ball feet. There are two bottles for oil and vinegar. Each standing 6” tall(with the stoppers) The pepper shaker stands 5 ½” tall. The lidded mustard jar is 3 ¾” tall. One stopper has a tiny flea bite(see the last photo) The set is in outstanding condition.

Antique English Novelty Silverplate Cruet Set - Horseshoe / Jockey c.1880
For the equestrian collector or horse racing devotee. This figural cruet set is quite the charmer. The base is a horseshoe shape with a spur terminal on the handle. At the front is an upturned Jockey's cap as an open salt with a gilded interior. The mustard and pepper are in the form of riding boots, the mustard pot complete a spoon with riding crop handle. The riding boots are removable from the stand. What makes this more desirable than others I have had is the central piece between the boots with a Jockey cap lid. Antique Rogers Smith& Co No 35 Cruet Set Silverplate The carousel stand is in good condition with wear. It is 16 1/8" tall and 7 1/2" in diameter. The glass is in nice looking overall condition but there are some chips. There are chips out of the ends of the 3 stoppers but they are not visible when inserted in the bottles. The tops of the 2 shaker bottles have chips out of them too but are hidden by the metal tops. The hinge on the sugar container is broken on one side. The spoon is marked Sterling with what appears to be a flag with an N in it. The spoon has an engraving of buildings and marked City Hall St. Louis Mo. I am not sure if the bottles match or not. Antique Vintage Wilcox Silverplate With Bell Castor Cruet Set Condiments
This 7 piece bell cruet set came from an auction in Vermont. It is marked on the bottom Quadruple Plate Wilcox Silveplate Co 545. The stand has a brass bell that works. Maybe for calling a servant. At one time there may have been a handle on the bell as there are two marks on either side of the bell, see the 4th picture. The ring on the stand has an etched floral design. The stand measures 11 1/4" high and 7 1/2" wide at the widest point. It has alot of tarnishing and there are wear marks. I have not cleaned it. The cruets do not all match. Two of them match each other but not exactly the other four. All have an etched floral/leaf design and a light lavender tint. They are in good condition. One cruet has a rub mark on the top that the camera did not show. Two of the stoppers have chips. One on the bottom and the other has two small ... morechips with a rub mark. One of the tops on the salt/pepper will need to be re-attached. They aslo have some scratches around the perimiter(may actually be part of the etched pattern) the one with the loose top also has a 1/3" air bubble or ding in it within the etched part- it doesn't feel fractures of cracked. There is a cluster of dents that is pictured. The cruets are in good condition but two have the small center pieces missing on the lids. Two cruet have a pinkish cast that probable could be cleaned out. One has a stopper of a hand holding a bar. It has a few chips on the bottom but it looks very old and very rare. Up for sale a lovely antique condiment/cruet castor set-silverplate. This has an engraved carousel and includes the salt& pepper shakers. A mustard jar and the vinegar& oil cruets. The bottles are etched with a pretty design,and are in great condition with the exception of 1 small chip on the edge of one of the cruets. Also the bottom of one of the stoppers has some chipping on the piece that fits in the bottle. I also noted a small chip spot on the metal of the mustard jar.Please see all pictures-I try to note everything I see. This has no markings, Mother" is engraved on the side of the carousel-picture 3. A 3 bottle cut glass cruet set in a silverplated holder. The holder has a basket weave design and is rectangular in shape with a twisted rope-style round handle. All the glass bottles are in good condition with no chips. Cracks or cloudiness, and are particularly well made and cut, with a good weight to them. The top of the shaker has some wear to the silverplate and will also need to be refitted with alabaster to regain it's tight fit. A very attractive centerpiece for the table. Measurements: 5 7/8ths inch long x 4 inches wide. Depth to top of basket weave- approx 2 inches. To the top of the handle: 8.5 inches. It weighs 36 oz.

Antique Victorian 6 -Bottle Etched Meriden Cruet Set Silverplate Circa 1880's
This antique cruet set is from an estate. I have a friend who inherited his Grandmother's home. After years of living in it. He is saying goodbye to some of the treasures she collected but he and his wife have never used. This cruet was made by the Meriden Silver Plate Co. This information is stamped inside the base as well as"Quadruple Plated" the lion logo and the numbers 3044. It is all stamped in a circular design. The piece stands 16 1/2" tall, the base is 5" wide, the center base is 7" wide with a 1 1/4" edge. There are 6 cruet bottles that all have a tapered base to fit into the stand. They are all lovely etched glass and are in nice condition. They vary in size from 9" tall down to 6" The shortest has a silver flip top. Two of the glass toppers do have some blemishes. One has a flea bit ... morethat tapered into a chip but looks like a new glass facet. The other has a tiny rough flea bite on the tip. I really had to look closely to find these. I have shown a close up of one of the silver covered bottles. They each have a bit of rough edges. You cannot see this when the covers are on. I have not cleaned/polished any of the pieces. Antique Castor Cruet Reed & Barton Silverplate Victorian 6 Pc Acid Etched Glass
I am offering for bid this early( I believe Victorian) or at least early 1900's Reed& Barton Castor/ Cruet Set. Marked on the bottom( see photo) All of the ORIGINAL and MATCHING Bottles are present. The Height of the HOLDER is approx. 15 1/2 in. and the Diameter is approx. 8 in. The( 6) Glass Bottles are all etched with( 4) of them having what appear to be Silver Plated tops. The( 2) Tall Bottles each have have a different Stopper but appear to be their Original ones. I could find no maker marks on the Bottles and they are on a" Carousel" that revolves. I have not polished the Silver Plate- I leave this to the New Owner. There is one small ding on the side( see photo) and it may have some Silver loss and age related Surface Scratches. I did not find any chips or cracks on any of the Bottles and they all are clear with no ... morecloudiness. Silverplate Caster Cruet Condiment set with 2 glass containers and toppers
Don't know how old this is. But assume not too old. On the bottom are the marks"Made in England" and what looks like EPNS. I am unable to make out 3 other smaller letters/numbers.
