One bottle seems to have original stopper. The rest are missing their toppers. The castor unit is made of silver electroplated metal. The handle seems to be missing its electroplating probably from use. Size: The entire set stands 14 inches tall 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The cruet bottle with stopper is 7" tall Castor sets were popular from the 1890s to the first world war. And were used in the center of every dining table. Condition: Very good pre-owned item. For your consideration this Antique Double Castor Set- Probably for Pickles or Olives The Glass is beautiful-reminiscent of an apothecary glass- nicely cut on sides and top(picture 3 is the top-hard to see but has 9 flat cut spots that form a circle) Condition is Good for the piece- THERE are Chips on the rims of the glass- See picture#4 Mostly on the inside rim a couple on the outside- but just the rim The tops seem to be perfect as well as the bottoms-Except for the rim edge with the chips- the glass is very delicate. 3 Matching Antique Castor Set Condiment Bottles; 2 with Silver Plate Shaker Tops; 1 with Glass Stopper. Beautiful bottles with ornate design and cut glass patterns. The tops have been polished and is in excellent condition; only thing is that the bottles with shaker tops do not have sleeve for shaker to sit on. But shaker does fit fine over the bottle top as it is. Nothing else wrong, very usable, sturdy and still make a beautiful display. Height is 7" 7 1/4" and 8 1/4" tall to top of finials; bases are 1 7/8" diameter. This is from a Massachusetts estate of an antique dealer. The two glassware pieces are cut to clear with one being ruby red and the other one emerald green. It is set in a silverplate holder. Please note. Both the green& the red have a diamond pattern, but they do vary. The inside top rim of the red lid has"XXVII" that is etched into the glass. The green cut to clear piece has some damage. The bottom has a chip on the top rim. A hairline crack on the inside of the glass that stems from the chip. I don't see any damage on the red jar. Both lids are fine. The top of the jars and inside lips of the lads are smooth polished. The jars are 4.25" tall and 4" across. Please see pictures. ~ Victorian Silver Plate Condiment Set ~ Gorgeous 14-piece. All original set made in the 1890s. It includes 6 cut glass crystal bottles with stoppers and 2 silver plate lidded jars. One jar includes a twisted silver plate spoon. The handle is black Bakelite and capped on the ends with decorative silver plate finials. Although this set displays just beautifully. It has some imperfections including tarnish. Fleabites, cracks and flakes. I've taken close-ups to show the most serious flaws. Both faceted stoppers have chips/roughness around their tendrils, one of the mushroom-shaped stoppers has a 3/4" cracked flange, there is a chip out of the rim of one bottle, there are fleabites on some corners and a few flakes around the mouths of the bottles/jars. One bottle has a little cloudiness to it. The others are all pretty clean and shiny. ... moreStill a knock-out set! This is a large set and all together it weighs 6 lbs. The castor is 10.5" long by 5" wide. It is 9" tall and the handle is almost 6" long. The base has 4 silver plated attached ball feet and it is impressed with"E.P.N.S. Cranberry Thumb Print Glass Castor Cruet Set 1853-1859 Taunton Silver Plate Co.
Available for purchase. We have a beautiful cruet castor set. This set has 5 cranberry hand blown glass bottles with a thumb print pattern. The stand is triple silver plate made by The Taunton Silver Plate Co. In Taunton, Massachusetts. The stamp used on the stand was one that Taunton used from 1853-1859. Two of the glass bottles are missing their glass stoppers. There is also a mustard pot and 2 shaker bottles that have silver plate tops. Other than the missing stoppers, there is no chips or cracks. A couple of the bottles have a slightly crooked neck due to them being hand blown. It's hard to notice but true. The stand has a few rough spots where there is wear to the silver plate but nothing that would detract from a piece of this age. The stand measures 13-1/2" tall, the middle castor section has a diameter of 7-3/8" and ... morethe bottom stand piece has a diameter of 5-1/2" The shaker bottles measure 7-1/4" the cruet bottles measure 6-3/4" and the mustard pot measures 5-1/2" Because of the thumb print pattern, these bottles look gorgeous in the sunlight. With matching wheel cut design is roses cut to clear glass, S&P Shakers, an oil and vinigar cruet set w/ stoppers, and a mustard jar(no spoon) All the glass is free of chips, cracks, flea bites, dents, dings, or repairs. The silver plating on the stand has a lot to be desired. Antique silverplate castor set by Walker& Hall. There is an initial A engraved on the holder. The bottom says"Warranted hard& silver soldering. This is a silverplate set and is not silver. It has 4 cut glass bottles. It measures overall about 9" tall. One bottle is cloudy appearing. Chipped base and part of the screw top is missing. It coordinates with the other bottles, but I don't think it is original to the set. See pictures 8& 9. The edges of the bottle with the stopper has a rough grind with very tiny chips(felt, but not seen) The stopper is in good condition. The small bottle bottom edge is a little rough with a chip. The top does not screw on, it is missing the rim on the base, see pictures 6& 7. The small mustard jar has very small chips on the bottom edge, very hard to see without a magnifier. This is an antique silverplate and glass 4 bottle castor set. The silverplate frame is marked: EPNS. And is in very good condition. The nuts on the bottom do not match, and are probably not original to the piece. The bottles all match but one stopper is not correct. They are all in very good codition. It has 4 ball feet. Antique Victorian Cruet Castor Set with Amberina Glass Bottles
Offered is a beautiful and rare Victorian Era antique castor set with amber glass bottles. The silver-plate holder is marked Meriden B. Co. USA. The bottles have an etched leaf or wheat design and inverted thumbprints. There is some damage to the neck of the mustard bottle. There is a linear crack with two small chips at each end. I've pictured the damage for the buyer to evaluate. The other bottles are free of chips or cracks. I cannot get the lids off to clean them. The silver-plate stand is in good condition. I began polishing the underside and it cleaned up nicely. I'll continue to gently polish it with a soft polishing cloth for the new owner. The stand measures 13 1/2 inches tall. The mustard measures 6 inches tall, the shakers stand 7 1/2 inches tall as does the cruet without the stopper. Rolling Wagon Vaseline Glass Pickle Castor Set Frame#323 manufactured by Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co. quadruple plate Hartford. Va. frame measures 12 ½ H x 4 ½” W x 5” Deep in excellent original condition. The Vaseline glass jar insert is the Block pattern by George Duncan and Sons& U.S. Glass between1891-1904. The pattern is also recognized as Duncan Block, Waffle Block and Duncans Late Block. This jar is original to this frame. It shows some expected minor flea bites on the inner lip from use. The base of this Vaseline glass jar is smooth to the touch with no cracks nor visible straw marks in the glass. In natural lighting this jar shades from a bright yellow to a glowing green. Under a black light the jar turns neon green. This coloration is produced by uranium used in the glass making process. This is a very rare half frame pickle ... morecastor set. The wheels under the frame move smoothly. There is no evidence of any repairs. The frame is strong and straight. In“The American Pickle Castor” by Bernice Thach on page 190 shows a nearly identical wagon frame by another hollow ware maker. Hartford Silver Co. A set of original tongs with tiny grabber hands measuring 6-5/8” long is included. Both the tongs and the original hanging lid match the patina of the frame. The lid fits the jar correctly with no overlap nor overly tight feel. The frames base design features six half moon scenes; a sail boat with mountains in the distance. A cabin in a mountain setting, a loon on a lake, a schooner in a mountain scene with a bird in the foreground, a mountain scene with a bear and a seal, and a flying egret with pines and mountains in the background. Frames produced by Wm Rogers Mfg Co date from 1865. This is a highly desirable rolling frame and jar combination from the Victorian era circa 1889.

Up for auction with no reserve is an estate lot of 19th century Victorian Period silver plate and cranberry pickle casters. This lot includes 2 matching beautifully enameled cranberry glass with a matching floral hand painted designs. The frames are also quite nice but do show some wear as seen in photos. The jars are in excellent condition. With the exception of a small chip on the mouth of the small jar. Both jars have a lovely cranberry matte finish on the outside and shiny on the inside. Nice vintage pickle castor set with a silver plated frame holder. Pressed glass jar, glass drip jar, and fork. Pickle fork is marked Celtic Quality Plate Made In England. Set is in nice condition, no chips or cracks on the pretty glass jar. Only flaw I can see is a bit of wear and tarnish on the silver plated holder. Antique 6 Bottle Etched Glass Castor Set By Reed& Barton- Cruet/Condiment Set This antique 6 bottle castor set with revolving silverplate holder was made by Reed& Barton. It is rare to find a set this big with all of the matching pieces. Note the charming cherub on the stem. There are three etched cruets with glass stopper and three with silverplate lids. Of the silverplate lid items there is a salt and pepper set with removable lids and a condiment jar with a lid opening for a spoon. There is some light wear to the finish on the silverplating. Two of the glass stoppers have a chip at the base as shown, and one bottle has a bruise crack on it's base but still holds liquid. Also one of the bottles has a chip on the underside of the lip. ANTIQUE 5 BOTTLE HOMAN QUADRUPLE PLATE CASTOR CRUET SET FLORAL EDGE ETCHED GLASS
Beautiful victorian five bottle rotating castor or condiment set. The upper metal edge has a floral pattern etched in the plating. The flower may be in the image of a poppy. The five bottles also have an etched design on them. The handle crosses in the center and has three flowers on the top and inlaid along both edges of the handle. The metal holder may be easily separated to make three pieces for ease of storage. The quadruple plate is marked Homan Silverplate Company. They used this name only between 1895-1905 when the name changed again. The company located in Cincinnati Ohio with multiple name changes over the years. This castor set is beautiful and would grace any table or china cabinet. Antique Meriden Rotating Cruet Castor Set 6 Glass Jars (spices)
This is a victorian style Castor/Cruet set made by Meriden Britannia. I am assuming it is silver plated. Since the company almost always used silve in their items. It is stamped on the bottom Meriden Britannia Company 131. All the the glass containers are in very good condition. There are no major cracks or chips. This set holds 6 bottles and features a rotating holder so you can easily get what you need. The base features a greek key design and the handle is lovely. This is a great and unique piece. I have not been able to locate this same style anywhere. A great piece. Insurance will be included in shipping. No returns.

Antique Meriden Silverplate Silver Quadruple Plate Cruet Castor Set 6 Glass Jars
Up for auction is a nice example of an antique Victorian cruet castor set made by the Meriden Silver Plate Company. This is a rotating castor or cruet set with 6 etched and dimpled glass bottles. The holder stands about 14 1/2" tall to the top of the handle. It is engraved with the hallmark of a lion and the words" MERIDEN SILVER PLATE. CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE" with the No. 0348. The bottles include; a salt& pepper holder with silverplate caps. Each about 7 1/2" tall, 3 oil/vinegar bottles, about 9" tall including the glass stoppers. And 1 mustard style bottle that is about 5 1/2" tall with a hinged silverplate lid. The holder has nice detail at the top handle, and engraved design on the hanging edge. See enlarged photos for condition. The silverplate is tarnished and has scratches and minor loss to the silverplate ... morein spots. Three of the glass bottles are in excellent condition. But the 3 oil/ vinegar bottles all have chips at the top(in the same spot on each) and the stoppers have missing bottoms/chipped bottoms. As you can tell from the photos, these are not as obvious when used in display. I HAVE NOT CLEANED! Photos taken with and with out flash. One bottle has a tiny fracture as shown. They have their original tops. The glass pieces are cut with panels and blocks. The stoppers are hollow with panel cuts. They have blown and polished pontils. Antique Victorian 5 Bottle Castor/Condiment/Cruet Set with Rare Glass Base Frame- Rare Up for auction is a RARE Antique 5 bottle castor condiment cruet set on an all glass base frame. The set contains 5 matching bottles: Vinegar& Oil; Salt& Pepper; and a Mustard Jar. The bottles and the skirt have a matching Art Deco looking pattern. The glass sparkles beautifully in the sun and displays very well. See PHOTOS- I've used different color backdrops to show the clarity of the glass. It stands approximately 10" tall(including bottles) The holder is approximately 5 1/2" in diameter and stands 3 1/2" by itself) the bottles are 7 3/4" tall, the shakers are 6" tall, and the mustard bottle is 4 3/4" tall( See PHOTOS) This beautiful RARE set is in overall Excellent Vintage Condition. There are no cracks or repairs ... moreon the base or bottles. All lids fit tightly and will unscrew. There is one chip along the top of the salt shaker but is hidden by the metal cap( See PHOTOS) The glass is rough around the rim of all three lidded bottles and the pepper shaker has some rust on the glass from the cap. See PHOTOS) The ends of each stopper have a couple of'expected' very small chips from age and handling. The silver plating is tarnished and may need re-plating. It looks as though the set had some type of handle because of the two holes in the base. Also. There is no spoon to the mustard jar. Regardless of its minor flaws that comes with age, it is a Beautiful set that is extremely rare to find especially in this condition! Antique 4 Bottle Etched Glass Castor Cruit Condiment Set Metal Stand Dragons
ANTIQUE 4 BOTTLE ETCHED GLASS CASTOR CRUIT CONDIMENT SET METAL STAND DRAGONS For your consideration is a BEAUTIFUL set of 4 cruit bottles with covers in original stand. Two of the bottles appear to be salt and pepper. One has a very rounded top which unscrews very easily and leaves a silver band on the bottle after taking cap off. Silver top has some light wear to the finish of the silverplating. I don’t see any chips or cracks. Next bottle is also salt/pepper. Cap is not as rounded and unscrews easily but the top of the bottle is all chipped. After taking top off. There is not a silver band left on the bottle like the previous bottle. No cracks or chips other than under the cap. Next bottle(looks like maybe vinegar bottle) Has a glass stopper for a cap. Not sure if the stopper goes with the set as the bottle has a very slight purple/pink ... moretone to it but the stopper is clear glass. Stopper has a chip out of the part that goes into the bottle. Around the top of the bottle. There are 2 chips– see photos. Looks like someone was not careful when they were taking the glass stopper in and out. No other chips or cracks that I can see. Last bottle might be a pickle jar. It has a metal flip top cover which I cannot unscrew. The flip top part of the cover is missing– please see photos. No cracks. Chips that I can see The metal base is in very good condition for it’s age. On the top of the handle in the center there is what appears to be 2 long dragon heads. Very nice detailing. The holder for the 4 bottles spins around for easy access while eating. The very bottom of the stand. Where it touches the table, has two dents in it– see photos. They don’t hurt the integrity of the holder at all. Just visually you can slightly see them. All in all. A very nice set.
