This is for a genuine Edwardian Silver Plate& tooled leather hip flask.It is in superb order with no splits.Cracks,damage,repair or restoration of any kind.The is some very minor rubbing the the plate on the edges at the base but this is hardly noticable.The silver is monogramed with the initial W.P.The leather is free of any damage and the stitching is all in place and in good order.It has a pewter screw top with a cork insert.The glass body insert is free of any cracks or damage and the flask is in fine order.It measures an impressive 6" in height and 3 1/4" by 1 3/4" across the base.Good luck in your bidding.

Early 20th century Silver Plate, Leather & Glass Hip Flask - James Dixon & Sons
Early 20th century Hip Flask This good-sized hip flask has a 300 ml capacity with an oval glass body. Leather clad shoulders, a silver plated removable cup to the base and a silver plated screw top with the original cork intact. The base has the mark of the high quality manufacturer, James Dixon& Sons and, from its style and the mark’s design, this piece would date to the first quarter of the 20 th century. This flask is in good condition but there are a few pitting spots to the plating on the cup as shown in the photos below. The leather has no splits. Tears or deep scuffs and the glass has no cracks or chips. The cap has no dents and screws securely to the neck. Please be aware that it is a vintage item so there will be tiny surface abrasions caused through use over the years. Please be patient there are 15 photos to be loaded in this auction. A really lovely and truly unusual Victorian oddity– ... morean estate-found late nineteenth century Meriden silverplate hip flask with a screw-on. Telescoping/collapsible cup that doubles(serves as) the cap- ingenious& very civilized! The shape is oval with a slightly concave back to better fit the hip or pocket& the measurements are 5-3/4” high x 4-1/8” wide x 2-1/2” deep overall; the top measures 1-1/2” in diameter x 7/8” high when functioning as the cap; 2-1/8” high with a 1-1/2” diameter top as a cup. There is an impressed factory mark inside the bottom of the cap which reads: MERIDEN SILVER PLATE CO/ QUADRUPLE PLATE along with a factory logo of a stylized rampant lion holding an urn. The finish is burnished, somewhat iridized or metallic with(tasteful) ornate brite-cut florl engraved décor on the front and a plain back, no monogram in the open cartouche. The condition is very good with only a(very) faint/slight dent near the bottom on the front with some light age wear from gentle use– most on the back where it rests. The telescoping cup is also very good with the(original? cork included(packed separately) which fits in the bottom(covers the signature and acts as a seal

Fine Hip Flask by HW & S Black leather and silver plate. Really fine.
A hip flask by HW&S in fine condition. Marked at the bottom with the maker's marks and 2. Stamped HW on the collar. Screw top with undamaged cork inside. I did not clean the inside or the outside. A little bit of dried alcohol inside and some light wear/ rubbing/ light shallow scratch on the metal but no dents or split. The leather is in fine condition too. Unusual as the corners of those flasks are always dented. This one is fine. Size: 12.5 cm x 8 cm.

VINTAGE IRISH HIP FLASK, SILVER PLATE LEATHER AND GLASS
This auction is for a fine vintage Irish Hip Flask with top and base in Silver Plate and a glass body half clad in black leather. It is approximately 5” or 130mm high. 3” or 73mm wide and 1 ½” or 38mm front to back, the capacity is ¼ Pint or 5 fluid ounces(UK measurement) and the overall weight is 270 grams. The top is a screw fit and closes neatly, it has an inner cork which gives a good seal making the flask watertight, the base can be pulled off to give a drinking cup, inside the cup is gilded though this has a little wear from use, under the base is stamped Barrett& Co 109 Grafton St Dublin, I have found two references to Barrett& Co at this address one from 1910 the other 1915 so I am guessing the flask dates to this period. The Silver Plate is sound with no worn areas and is well polished with virtually no scratches ... moreand there are no dents or splits, there are three or four little surface marks on one side near the top edge and a few very minor marks to the base. The glass is good with no cracks or chips and looks quite clean, the Leather is pretty much perfect, the stitching is all sound and there are no splits or scuffs the only thing I can find is a slight indent beside one sight window really of no consequence.
