Chips or scratches. There is some expected wear on some areas of the silverplate. The glass has a ribbed swirl design. The tongs are also in very good condition. Complete antique pickle castor set in very good overall condition. Jar is made of ruby glass with silverplate lid. Base is marked on underside with hallmarks and"Columbia Silver Co. Quadruple" Jar itself with lid measures 6.5" tll. Base to top of handle measures 9.5" Comes complete with tongs. Silverplate needs some polishing but I usually leave that up to the discretion of the buyer- some like to keep the original patina. Great piece for collectors! Pairpoint Pickle Castor Frosted Glass Jar Dragon & Daisy Quadruple Plate 616
This lovely. Vintage PICKLE CASTOR jar was made by Pairpoint Mfg. Co. and is quadruple plate, 616. It is complete with a secure fitting lid and tongs. The frosted glass measures 4 3/8" tall and 3" in diameter across the top opening. It has a starburst pattern on the bottom. The highly tarnished quadruple silver plate is decorated with daisies at the top and dragons on the side. This is a unique combination. The total height of the castor is 12" The frosted glass canister has a bit of a rough edge on the bottom rim. The top inside of the glass. Along the rim, have tiny crackle lines or maybe striation marks. There are no chips or breaks though. Please view the photos carefully and contact me if you have any questions. A beautiful Victorian PICKLE CASTOR with an enamel decorated Cranberry glass jar/insert in a Quadruple Silver Plate Frame. The mark: GEO.LINSENMAYER* QUADRUPLE* PLATE* PHILA. an obscure maker I have never come across before. The Frame Measures: 10.75" tall on 4 reticulated feet. 4.75" on each side with a round 3.25" wide cut-out for the jar- floral engravings on 2 opposing corners- 5" wide embossed floral border around the entire piece between the base and the feet. The decor on the Insert- Hand Painted enamel Blue Berries and gold outlined green& yellow leaves along with more gold leaves and ferns in the background- is repeated 3 times around the squatty shaped cranberry glass jar. Measures: 4.75" tall- 6.5" including the lid. 3" diameter foot- 375" deep, 4.25" wide overall. Antique Barbour Quadruple Silver Plate and Amber Glass Pickle Castor With Tongs
This is an elegant pickle castor with tongs that I have had since the 70's. The silver plated base is marked"Barbour Silver Co. quadruple. 2309" The base is adorned with a fine embossing. The header has stylistic flowers or leaves and a large flower at the top center. A leaf and bud design hold the tongs. There is very slight wear of the silver on the lid edge, which is topped by a decorated knob. There are no dents or scratches or dings in the silver base. The tongs are decorated with a flower and a bow and the claws at the end. They are only slightly tarnished. The amber glass is thick glass with"V"s of smooth glass at the top and inverted"V"s of smooth glass at the bottom. Between the"V"s are daisies and buttons. The glass has a couple small bubbles from the manufacturing process, but no chips ... moreor cracks. The total height is 10 3/4 inches tall and 4 inches diameter at the base. Up for sale is this beautiful Victorian quadruple plate Pickle Castor with a clear glass jar and tongs. At the top it has a flower motif. I see one tiny dimple on base. Otherwise good. Made by New Amsterdam Co. The jar is clear and is hand painted in the Mary Gregory style. Some bubbles in the glass and a very minor scratch. The metal stand measures 10 1/4" tall. Base 3 7/8" by 4 1/2" inside diameter 3 1/4" Jar 5 7/8" Tall, top 3 1/8" bottom 2 1/2" Glass fits well in stand. Some of the plate is worn on the tongs.

Up for bid is a beautiful made in the USA antique/vintage Bristol quadruple plate pickle castor complete with the carrier. Jar, jar lid, and tongs. The castor is in great condition and the jar is flawless. The height is 11" and the diameter is 4-1/2" at the widest point. I don't know the exact age of the pickle castor but the glass jar glows beautifully under a black light so it is at least depression era or before. The metalwork has some residual silver polish left behind in the details. This is a wonderful display piece with no damage to be seen. Victorian PICKLE CASTOR - Cranberry enamel jar ROCKFORD Quadruple plate Frame
This auction is for a beautiful Victorian PICKLE CASTOR with an Enamel decorated Cranberry Art Glass Jar/Insert. It has a squatty shaped jar with vertical ribs that measures: 3.5" high. 3.25" wide foot, 3" wide rim to rim, 4.25" wide overall- a perfect fit in the frame. The frame was made by the ROCKFORD Silver Plate Co. and is marked"Quadruple Plate" pattern#670. It stands 10.25" tall with an overall width of 6.25" The recessed jar holder has an interesting cut out ring that allows more light to shine through the glass jar. A beautiful embossed base, floral open work embellishments at the bottom of the handles and across the top. Condition: EXCELLENT- previously owned/Victorian pickle castor with Cranberry enamel Art Glass Insert- a few tiny rim nicks. A beautiful Victorian PICKLE CASTOR for your collection! The Frame is marked HARTFORD SILVER PLATE CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE/ 745. It is a pretty footed frame with a scalloped skirt around the base stamped with a star flower pattern. A twisted bail handle and a"pickle" hook to hold the tongs! 9.75" tall, 3.25" diameter jar holder OS. The Jar or Insert is a deep Cranberry color- almost red- in a polka dot or IVT pattern- decorated all around with brightly colored enamel flowers. Buds and leaves- 4.25" tall, 3.25" wide rim to rim OS, 3" diameter base. The lid is lovely with the jar but just a tad big at 3.375" wide. Tongs included- 6.5" long. Antique Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co. Quadruple Silver Plate Pickle Castor
Offered for auction is an antique quadruple silver plate pickle castor. It was made by Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co. of Hartford. Conn. The decorative frame stands 13 5/8 inches high and is 4 3/4 inches across the widest section. The tongs are in place. The clear pressed glass jar is in good condition with no chips. It is 4 1/4 inches high and 3 inches in diameter.

Meriden Quadruple Plate Pickle Castor Jar w/ Blue Glass Insert & Tongs
ANTIQUE VICTORIAN MERIDEN PICKLE CASTOR WITH SPECKLED BLUE GLASS INSERT This auction offers an antique Meriden silverplated pickle castor with a speckled blue and white glass jar. The frame is 10-1/2" tall and about 4-1/4" wide. The jar is blue glass with a speckled white finish with cutouts. It is 4" tall and 3" in diameter. The frame is apparently slightly bent because the insert rests up against one of the columns. Which you can see in the photos. It is not harming anything-the insert still fits fine and can probably be straightened by hand, but I have not attempted this. The tongs are 6-1/2" in length and probably not original to the set. There is silverplate loss to the frame. It is marked Meriden B. Co. and Quadruple Plate 248. Antique Victorian Pickle Castor Jar with Tongs Quadruple Plate Meriden
This pressed glass. Quadruple silver-plate pickle jar is a nice example of Victorian tableware. The glass jar is pressed with a lovely floral and etched design. The silver-plate has a nice ring design with little flowers and sits are 4 ornate feet. The jar measures 4 ¼ inches high but when placed in its stand it measures 11 ½ inches high. The tongs have the matching flower pattern and measure about 7 inches long. The lid in the glass is chipped. Where the lid fits in. The silver-plate lid on the jar is scratched– all the silver is tarnished, slight dent in the bottom. Despite its age issues- it is a nice Victorian piece. The cranberry glass jar is decorated with 9 different. Multi-colored, hand painted enamel floral sprays- 3 rows of 3.
