A lovely item. I can't read the maker mark- I need one of those eye piece things.but it seems to be BB and then some other letters. The EPNS is clear though. Lovely condition. There is a bit of tarnish but it cleaned up really nicely, I stopped polishing as I know that sometimes that isn't considered a good strategy from collectors or vintage items. Great Figural of an Indian Teepee tripod with a fantastic aesthetic design from the turn of the century. This serving set is based on a Tee Pee design of three poles tied together with rope at the top. There is a tapered pole across the top that is designed so that the entire piece may be carried by two fingers to be served when suitably filled. Intergral to two of the poles is a three slice Toast Rack with built in clips to hold the butter knife There are two spaces for footed Egg Cups. As well as a great acorn shaped salt/pepper shaker with a crimped edge to match the base of the piece. A glass lined open jam/jelly cup footed with matching spoon, and ... morea low glass butter dish again with matching crimped edge design. The entire piece sits on a circular crimped edge base atop three ball feet. Two of the poles have built in holders for the two matching egg spoons. Just acquired out of a wonderful early estate. We are able to offer this ~ VICTORIAN TOAST RACK IN THE FORM OF A VIKING SHIP ~. This is a nice early example and it appears to have been hand made by a silversmith. We can see all the little file marks from when it was made. It is not marked anywhere and looks to be silverplate. This very unique toast rack measures 7 1/4 inches long, 2 7/8 inches wide by 4 3/4 inches tall to the top of the handle. The condition is very good with no damage or repairs. The silver plate is not worn or pitted and the dish is not chipped. Cracked or scratched. The dish is 1" high and almost 4" square and is embossed ENGLAND on the bottom. The tray is unmarked as to it's maker. Size of tray is 7.50" long, 4" at its widest and 4.25" at its highest. There are 4 ball feet on the bottom of the tray. The glass can be used for either butter, jam or jelly and the two last pictures are taken of the inside and bottom in that order. This is a sweet and elegant set and needs a new home. Here is a lovely and unusual 19th century English silver plate toast rack or napkin holder with an interesting design. The body is made of thick silver plate. And there are four cup feet on which it stands. Notice the graceful scalloped and swirled application and the tiny finial at the top. There are four heart shaped decorative additions to the front, back, and top as shown. Believed to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. Genuine Antique English TOAST Rack - Reg. For 1896 - Silver Plate
A fabulous find. This is a genuine antique Victorian English Toast with the shaped dividers spelling out TOAST. The most decorative example of this type that I have had with pierced or reticulated work and hand engraving. The base is a scroll or"S" shape and in turn sits on four original ball feet. The underside is lucky enough to have an English design registration number for 1896 and a full makers mark for FREDERICK SIBRAY, J.F. HALL& Co. of Sheffield, together with EP for Electro-Plated. It is 4" long 2.5" across, 5.75" tall, and weighs 10.1 oz. Was tarnished when I got it but a little tarnex made it look like new again. Stunning silver plated toast rack made in the shape of a leaf with 5 pear outlines for holding toasts. Beautiful and elegant piece with a very unusual design. The toast rack is made by Hukin& Heath of Birmingham. Hukin& Heath. Active as manufacturing silversmiths and electroplaters, were established in Birmingham in 1855. In 1875 the firm entered its mark in Birmingham Assay Office, while in 1879 the founders entered their mark in London Assay Office. The firm was active at Imperial Works, Birmingham and in the showrooms in London. In 1904 the business was converted into a limited liability company under the style Hukin& Heath Ltd.
