The glass insert measures 6 inches high to the finial on the cover and is 4 3/4 inches in diameter across the bottom of the jar. This fine silver plate piece features a round base with 4 cabriole feet in the Rococo style. It has oval medallions around the base with a scrolling acanthus leaf handle that raises above the base. The glass jar is acid etched and hand painted with a large landscape scene featuring a mother and child walking on a large estate. The painting is further enhanced with heavy applied gold enameling. The castor is marked on verso "G.A.B. NS 1900", this for a possible Swedish maker.

This gorgeous Cruet Caster set base is triple silver-plated and has a lovely patina. I have not cleaned or polished this in anyway and will leave that to the experts. I have seen it cleaned many times over the years growing up for special occasions by my grandmother. It is stunning when cleaned! The overall height is 16” and width is 7 ½” The beautiful etched floral pattern surrounds the turning tray and the base of the caster. The caster turns effortlessly and handle is intact. The turning wheel features five bottles. And all hand etched bottles are original, antique, and matching. Silverplate frame and top, no makers marks, no markings of any kind, no plate marks either but it is silverplate, It is missing the fork. The lid is domed but it had a dent which was fixed from the underside but it still is not perfectly round at the top, slightly off not perfectly round really not that noticeable I had a hard time trying to get a good photo. The ring around the bottom that holds the jar in place is slightly off round. The glass jar is handblown. I see no seams that you would find in pressed glass, it is a heavy weight piece of glass, ribbed panels with a band of floral etchings. There is a small clam shaped chip at the bottom of 1 of the ribbed panels, some tiny flea bites and rough marks around bottom edges of jar, no breaks or cracks. There is wear to the plating. Antique Victorian Condiment Castor with Five Etched Glass Bottles
Up for auction is an antique Victorian ornate condiment castor. There are 5 bottles with the castor and all the bottles appear to be original to the silver plated castor. I am certain that one stopper is not original to the cruet bottle and I am not sure about the other one. None of the bottles are cracked. But the bottles with the lids have chips around the rims(can't be seen due to the lids) The castor was made by Boston Silverplate. Circa 1900. It has a lovely patina. It is approximately 16 1/2 tall. The bottles are all etched.

1881 Rogers Antique Meriden Condiment Castor, Server-Etched Glass- Silverplate
A beautiful estate find. Marked Rogers Smith. Meriden Ct. All the parts are present and really in decent condition for its age. It rotates like a lazy susan around the middle so you don't have to pick it up and turn it. The picture of the complete set looks a little wonky but in reality all the bottles and jars sit quite upright in the holder. There are two things to report: in picture 8 you can see the maker's mark to the right of the round hole that the bottle sits in. To the left of that hole is an inverted dent as though something hit it from below at some point. Honestly, I did not notice this until I was uploading the pictures and seeing it all very close up. Also, the stopper on one of the bottles is not as pointed as the other as it has been ground down somewhat. These are typical blemishes for a piece as old as this one and ... moreif they are glaring imperfections is a judgment call on the part of the buyer. So look closely and ask any questions you may have. This is an old item and has wear indicative of that age. I leave the cleaning of the piece to you. It is just as I found it at the Estate Auction. But I think it will clean up nicely.

I am offering for bid this early( I believe Victorian) or at least early 1900's Reed& Barton Castor/ Cruet Set. Marked on the bottom( see photo) All of the ORIGINAL and MATCHING Bottles are present. The Height of the HOLDER is approx. 15 1/2 in. and the Diameter is approx. 8 in. The( 6) Glass Bottles are all etched with( 4) of them having what appear to be Silver Plated tops. The( 2) Tall Bottles each have have a different Stopper but appear to be their Original ones. I could find no maker marks on the Bottles and they are on a" Carousel" that revolves. I have not polished the Silver Plate- I leave this to the New Owner. There is one small ding on the side( see photo) and it may have some Silver loss and age related Surface Scratches. 2 Antique Silverplate Castor Sets, Victorian 1880's w/ 11 Etched Glass Bottles
2 Antique Silver plate Castor Sets. Victorian 1880's with 11 Etched Glass Bottles Here is a RARE combination of Antiquities for your bidding pleasure. We have purchased these pieces at various estate auctions over the years. And have decided to group all pieces together for this one auction. This auction consists of 2 Antique Silver Server Castors. One has the hallmark. Of Simpson Hall Miller& Company on the bottom. The SIMPSON. HALL, MILLER& CO was originally from Wallingford CT. Organized in 1866 by Samuel Simpson, the company became part of International Silver Co. in 1898. This Silver Castor is missing the top handle. So it can be picked up by the center protrusion with is a threaded rod ready for a screw on handle. We unfortunately do not have the handle, without its top handle this set is 8" tall. There is a small silver"top ... moreknob" which has a pineapple on top, but we do not know if it is actually part of this ensemble. This loose knob piece does not fit onto anything. The 7 ¼" diameters x 1⅜" tall six bottle rack revolved easily without the handle and is decorated with the wheat and floral pattern on the sides. The rack sits atop a 5⅛" diameters base. The second Silver Server Castor is not marked as to maker. And it stands 12" tall from the bottom to the top tip of the handle. The six bottle rack revolves easily and has six 2" round silver holders for bottles. The pedestal base has a silver beaded decoration all the way around the 4 ½" diameter base. We have 11 etched bottles which are included with the Castors. The bottle fit into either server. Here is a short description of the Etched Glass bottles: 1. The shortest bottle is 4 ½" tall and it has a silver top with an lift up lid. And a small side slot for a thin spoon. This is probably a Mustard pot. Since it has a metal lid with an opening for a small serving spoon. This bottle has etching both around the 6 sided top and also around the 8 sided bottle portion. 2. The next talles

Antique Victorian castor cruet set etched amber glass silver plate Reed & Barton
An antique silver plated cruet/castor set featuring lovely etched"cut to clear" amber glass decorated with swirls. Birds, structures and foliage. The silver plated stand stands approximately 14.5" tall and is marked on the bottom"3612 Mf'd and Plated by Reed& Barton" The amber glass oil and vinegar cruets measure approximately 8.5" and 8-1/8" The shakers each measure approximately 7-1/8" tall. The mustard jar measures just shy of 6.5" tall. There is wear and tear commensurate with age and use. There is some plate loss to the stand, particularly to the top surface where the bottles are inserted. The spoon is missing from the mustard jar. One of the stoppers has a small chip mid-body. Antique Victorian Wilcox Silver Plate Pickle Castor EAPG Etched Glass Jar This Wilcox quadruple silver plate pickle castor is a beautiful. Turn of the century piece. The castor is missing its lid and the side fork holder appears to be broken off. The bottom of the castor says"quadruple plate. Wilcox Silver Plate Co. 0693" The inside glass jar is very nice and appears to be EAPG. The bottom has some flea bites but is in overall great condition for its age. The jar is ridged and has a very nice etching around the upper band. The Wilcox Silver Plate company was based in Meriden. CT in the mid-1800's and produced some of the finest silver plated pieces. It measures approximately 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide. The glass is approximately 4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Thanks for looking!

Antique 6 Bottle Etched Glass Castor Set By Reed& Barton- Cruet/Condiment Set This antique 6 bottle castor set with revolving silverplate holder was made by Reed& Barton. It is rare to find a set this big with all of the matching pieces. Note the charming cherub on the stem. There are three etched cruets with glass stopper and three with silverplate lids. Of the silverplate lid items there is a salt and pepper set with removable lids and a condiment jar with a lid opening for a spoon. There is some light wear to the finish on the silverplating. Two of the glass stoppers have a chip at the base as shown, and one bottle has a bruise crack on it's base but still holds liquid. Also one of the bottles has a chip on the underside of the lip. ANTIQUE 5 BOTTLE HOMAN QUADRUPLE PLATE CASTOR CRUET SET FLORAL EDGE ETCHED GLASS
Beautiful victorian five bottle rotating castor or condiment set. The upper metal edge has a floral pattern etched in the plating. The flower may be in the image of a poppy. The five bottles also have an etched design on them. The handle crosses in the center and has three flowers on the top and inlaid along both edges of the handle. The metal holder may be easily separated to make three pieces for ease of storage. The quadruple plate is marked Homan Silverplate Company. They used this name only between 1895-1905 when the name changed again. The company located in Cincinnati Ohio with multiple name changes over the years. This castor set is beautiful and would grace any table or china cabinet. With a silver plated domed collar and hinged lid. There is a space in the lid for a spoon, not included. MANUFACTURER'S MARK: No manufacturer's mark. And no silver mark. MEASUREMENTS: Approximately 4 inches tall to the top of the lid. CONDITION: Fair to good condition– there is a chip in the glass under the silver collar and also some flakes at the top of the glass. An 8 1/2" cruet, a 9" cruet, and a 5 1/2" sugar. The cruets have crystal stoppers. There is some wear to the silverplate as expected with use over 100 years. This is a stunning set!

Antique 4 Bottle Etched Glass Castor Cruit Condiment Set Metal Stand Dragons
ANTIQUE 4 BOTTLE ETCHED GLASS CASTOR CRUIT CONDIMENT SET METAL STAND DRAGONS For your consideration is a BEAUTIFUL set of 4 cruit bottles with covers in original stand. Two of the bottles appear to be salt and pepper. One has a very rounded top which unscrews very easily and leaves a silver band on the bottle after taking cap off. Silver top has some light wear to the finish of the silverplating. I don’t see any chips or cracks. Next bottle is also salt/pepper. Cap is not as rounded and unscrews easily but the top of the bottle is all chipped. After taking top off. There is not a silver band left on the bottle like the previous bottle. No cracks or chips other than under the cap. Next bottle(looks like maybe vinegar bottle) Has a glass stopper for a cap. Not sure if the stopper goes with the set as the bottle has a very slight purple/pink ... moretone to it but the stopper is clear glass. Stopper has a chip out of the part that goes into the bottle. Around the top of the bottle. There are 2 chips– see photos. Looks like someone was not careful when they were taking the glass stopper in and out. No other chips or cracks that I can see. Last bottle might be a pickle jar. It has a metal flip top cover which I cannot unscrew. The flip top part of the cover is missing– please see photos. No cracks. Chips that I can see The metal base is in very good condition for it’s age. On the top of the handle in the center there is what appears to be 2 long dragon heads. Very nice detailing. The holder for the 4 bottles spins around for easy access while eating. The very bottom of the stand. Where it touches the table, has two dents in it– see photos. They don’t hurt the integrity of the holder at all. Just visually you can slightly see them. All in all. A very nice set.
