The glass insert measures 6 inches high to the finial on the cover and is 4 3/4 inches in diameter across the bottom of the jar. This fine silver plate piece features a round base with 4 cabriole feet in the Rococo style. It has oval medallions around the base with a scrolling acanthus leaf handle that raises above the base. The glass jar is acid etched and hand painted with a large landscape scene featuring a mother and child walking on a large estate. The painting is further enhanced with heavy applied gold enameling. The castor is marked on verso "G.A.B. NS 1900", this for a possible Swedish maker.

The diamond patterned glass insert is very detailed with a art deco flair as shown in photos. Pickle grabber is detailed with wonderful claws and floral relief on the sides. Previous owner cleaned the lid as there is a lot of natural patina as expected with a piece like this. Victorian Signed Quadruple Plate Silver Etched Crystal 4 Cruet Caster Set OLD
From an estate- found this sitting on a tall top shelf and clearly hadn't been touched for a very long time. Old Victoria Cruet Set. Marked on the bottom J.A. Babcock& Co Quadruple Plate. Quadruple silverplate was some of the highest quality made during the later part of the 19th century and used more troy ounces per silver. 11 1/2" tall. Four etched glass crystal cruets. Two are missing the stoppers. Two have the silver tops- one is a shaker with small holes; the other lifts off with a hinge and has a small hole for a spoon(condiment) 3 Tallest bottles are 5 1/2" tall(without the silver top) Condiment bottle is 5" tall including the silver top. Miraculously. This set does not have any chips, cracks or repairs. There is some powdery corrosion under the silver lids but looks like it can be cleaned up. The silverplate ... moreholder is footed and photos show the intricate detail of the hande as well as the feet and corners. PAIR PICKLE CASTOR HOLDERS BASES SILVER PLATE VICTORIAN STYLE ENGLAND CASTER
Here are two Victorian style pickle castor bases that are looking for inserts at their new home. They are not marked. But I assume they are silver plate, however use the photos to decide as I am not 100% sure what they are made of or how old they are. One of them is marked made in England on the bottom& the other is not marked. They are not an exact identical pair, but match so well nobody would really notice. The fork holders are intact on both& they are in good shape w/ sturdy handles. All I note is the seam on one is slightly apart at the top as shown in photo, however it is still sturdy and this may just be a manufacturing flaw. As shown in one photo, they do quite well to hold standard modern pickle or Amish jam jar(not included) They are about 9.25” tall and would hold an insert about 3.25” square w/ the drip catcher holders ... moreabout an inch in diameter. Listing an antique silver plate caster set in great condition. This set was manufactured by the Meridan Company in New York and dated 1880. The style number is stamped 2139 as shown in the photos. This set consists of six etched glass condiment bottles nestled in a pedestal silver plate stand. No pitting. There are chips on the rims of three of the glass bottles which I have shown in the photos. There are three initials engraved on the base and dated Sept 22. 1880. The two salt& pepper tops do not screw on and are loose on the top of the bottles. It stands about 10 inches high. 101/4 inches wide. All bottles have the same ingravings and designs. Antique Victorian Silver Plate Cut Glass Etched Bottle Caster Cruet Set Shaker
Stunning VICTORIAN antique unmarked but I believe it to be silver plate caster set with cut glass etched bottles. This set is so very nice. It is large and measures 13" tall. Each bottle measures between 5"7" tall. The set is used but in good condition. One bottle has old tape on the bottom from where it was broken and put back together at some point and one of the shakers is chipped under the shaker top. You can't see this because it's underneath the silver lid. The top caring handle features a soldier on one side and a man on the other. The spoon maybe solid silver, it is marked with 3 numbers but I can not read them. The entire set displays beautifully as you can see. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thank you!

The date stamp is either a small case a or d inside a shield with a sidesways diamond next to it. Approx. 7" tall and weighs 14 oz. Attractive neo-classical design. The elegant Monogram features a crown above the letters. The prominent letter is H with a G and a P? The caster lists a little to one side and has expected usage marks. Rare Mechanical Lift Pickle Castor ca. 1880– Frame#1270 Mfg'd& Plated by Reed& Barton is stamped on the bottom of this silver plated frame. This trick frame measures a tall 16” H x 7” W x 5 ¾” Deep. The set was inspired by the Gothic Revival of the late nineteenth century. Gothic Revival drew its inspiration from the medieval architecture of the sixteenth century. This tall Gothic styled frame was designed to be reminiscent of the flying buttresses and arched ceilings found in cathedrals throughout Europe. Even the turns that lift the mechanical lid have a Gothic shape. The frames patina is dark and consistent in color from the top to the bottom. It is a strong excellent frame. A three tine Victorian pickle fork attaches comfortably to the main frame arm. Victorian Art Glass Silver Plate Pickle Caster Castor Superb
This is one of the nicest pickle casters I've ever had. The frame is very unusual and the lid definitely matches the base. The jar is a wonderful rubina glass with enameled flowers. Condition: the frame has separated at the top behind the flower nothing a little epoxy wil not fix. Around the back side the gallery the jar sits in has two losses in the little design.
