The sugar stands about 6.75 inches tall to the top of the rim and 7 inches wide from handle to handle. There are no monograms or visible repairs. I am sure being a Rare find indeed. The Jar is of excellent quality with a fine sturdy hinge and nice Cannon Ball feet. The Tea Jar is exactly as we found it in the estate showing Copper bloom throughout which is nice as you know it has never been replated, also the hinge just needs a minor resoldering. The Jar is also a great size for display or use when serving tea, measuring 4-3/4" long by 3-1/2" wide and sitting 4-1/2" tall. A fabulous find. And a perfect addition to your Blue Willow collection, this is a large tea caddy in silverplate. A shame it's not sterling but it would be four or five times the price if it were. just lovely to have. The caddy has an all round engraved Willow pattern. Antique/ Repousse Silver plate EPBM tea caddy Box. A remarkable Gem!
This auction is for(1) antique hinged lid Tea caddy- hallmarked EPBM; electroplated Britannia metal" This would be a pewter type alloy that has been electroplated with silver. A construction typical from about 1846 through the early 1900's. The size is about 5" to the top of the Finial and the sides are about 4" wide. The Finial piece is bent at an angle of about 10 to 15% from true and it is loose. It has been secured with a wing nut on the interior(an odd repair) No defining makers marks that I could find on this- but a really pretty piece. I believe that it was acquired between 1890 and 1910. It needs some TLC. But it faces up very nicely and it has some elaborate press work. No dents or serious issues. Some discoloration and scratches, as pictured. Selling in as found condition. I don't have the key but it sounds as if someone hid it inside the lock frame. Two wire pins hold it in place and something is rattling around inside. I will leave that mystery to the next owner.

Silver-Plated Tea Set w/ Tea Caddy This set is around 100 years old. And has held up well. The picturing around each piece is quite detailed with people, trees, windmills, birds, places, and other. The creamer and sugar bowl are both about 2" high. And the sugar bowl is about 2.5" in diameter, and the creamer is about 2.25" in diameter. The teapot is about 6" high w/ lid, and about 3" in diameter. The tray is about 9.5" in diameter. The tea caddy is about 6" high w/ lid and 4.5" in diameter. The tea caddy was made by the Derby Silver Co. And the tea set was made by D.S.Co, which later joined with others to form International Silver. You will not be disappointed! Very Rare Antique Repousse Tea Caddy E G Webster & Son, 1886-1928, Silver Plate
A beautiful. Very detailed repousse silver plate tea caddy depicting a forest scene of men or boys either riding or capturing a wild ram in the woods. Webster was known for its highly chased hollowware and English reproductions. This particular piece was made between 1886 and 1928. It is a hexagon shape(very rare) and measures 4 1/4" tall and 2 3/4" wide. Marks on the bottom are"W and S" and has a star, a lion and a fleur-de-lis's. There is also a hand scribed number 834. The pieces is silver plate over copper and is in excellent condition for its age and does have very light ware on bottom edges. I have not tried to polish, or recondition this piece in anyway. Beautiful humming bird pattern with intricate design of lily pads and water Lily's on lid and handles. I am not sure what this is used for as it seems to big to be a sugar bowl. However it is shaped like a tall version of a sugar bowl? Tea Caddy? Has 2 handles and a removable lid. Inside is clean. Lovely patina. There is a picture of the makers mark on the bottom of the piece. Size can be seen in the picture. I have a matching Tea/Coffee pot up for auction also. Please see my other listings!
