Along with the Sheffield marks.The lid has a decorative engraving on the top of two unicorn horses on it with a shield in between them. A hand with a sword is coming up from behind the shield. This decoration was once red. Some of the red has come off so now it is red in only part of the decoration. The item is approximately 7 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches, excluding the handle. VERY NICE antique crumb catcher in gently used condition. Handle unscrews(detaches) for cleaning. Shown in photos with and without handle. The picture with handle shows piece before tarnish was removed. I used Martha Stewart's method of baking soda in an aluminum pan and it cleaned up beautifully. Marked on bottom The Sheffield Silver Co with the#269 Fabulous unicorn emblem! There is a light scuff below the emblem. You can see the scuff in the pic; I can not feel it with my hand. Otherwise. The condition of this piece, including the handle is in very good used condition. Shown with and without the handle. Measures 7.5" x 5.5" and weighs just under 1 LB. DECORATIVE FINISHED WOOD HANDLE, HAS BLUE AND SILVER STAMP ON BOTTOM BEARING JAPAN AND TARNISH RESISTAN. THIS PIECE OF SILVERPLATE DOES HAVE TARNISHING ON THE OUTSIDE AND ESPECIALLY THE BOTTOM.
