VICTORIAN CURTAIN PANEL, BATTENBERG LACE EDGES, MESH NET BODY, SILK FRINGE
Beautiful Victorian Window or Door Curtain Panel with Hand Made Battenberg Lace Edge trims and Silk Fringes. This is a beautiful curtain panel for window or door. The sheer fabric(don't know if it is cotton or silk) is enough to soften the light and let in air while veiling a room for privacy. The bottom of the panel has a linen Battenberg tape lace triangular inserted edge lace with loads of dense flowers and Battenberg rings. The top and bottom fringes are silk. There is no sleeve for a curtain rod but one can be created at the top edge if desired. The panel is 46 x 84 inches in all plus the silk fringes. Which at each end are 8 inches long for an additional 16 inches. The deeper lace part at the bottom is 25 inches from the top of the triangle to the fringes. The narrower top lace is 2 inches in width to the fringes at that edge on ... moretop. T he sheer mesh has a small hole and a couple of age spots.

Antique white tambour net lace cotton curtain about 122" long and 56" wide. Hand sewn cotton tape across top with hand made pleats making the top about 36" wide. The curtain head used to have tapes behind the pleats. 3 holes and a rust spot at about 36" from top. Another hole on same edge about 45" from bottom hem. Two smaller holes on oppostite side. I am not sure of the provenance of this piece; I purchased it from a French source on the net some years ago when I first began collecting antique/vintage lace. These panels are a deep ivory and there are a few areas of discoloration but should wash out with a little magic oxyclean. Hard to see discoloration especially when hanging against light. 2 Beautiful Early 1900's European German Net Lace Curtain Panels 44" X 140" #2
This Auction is for Antique Long Net Lace Curtain Panels Lot#2 Each panel measures approx. 44 inches X 140 inches. These panels were recently purchased at a local country auction. Panels came with a tag that says ~ No 574 ~ 12/4 ~ 3 1/2 yards Made in Germany(shown in pictures) Panels do have some light yellowing. Several small spots and a few very small holes in the netting( examples shown in pictures) I did not find any rips or tears. Lace is not dried out and fragile. General condition I would say is good to very good consistent with age. These are probably the nicest net lace curtains panels I have yet to sell at auction. The pattern is just beautiful. There is ... morea very detailed pattern in the design with flowers. The large flower at the bottom of each one has a sheer fabric in the petals that are a very soft pastel color. The bottoms have a 7" wide ruffle with a slight scalloped bottom. There are no curtain rod pockets at the tops. You would use drapery clips to hang these. Also included in the 14" long by 70" long matching valance. It is so hard to find these with the matching valance like this! There are some minor tiny holes which will be hard to see when hung. There are a couple minor age stains, which I show with a dime for size comparion. They are clean, with just a slight"old" odor. They would probably freshen up with a gentle wash or soaking. These are in good condition and would be elegant on any window in your home. BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE MATCHING BEDSPREAD ON ANOTHER EBAY AUCTION. The lace is a very fine needle run french net with beautiful embroidery and insets. Accompanying this. Is appliqued roses of watered silk in pastels of pinks and green. These were made to have the watered silk behind the netting, but you can also use for a more pronounced roses look, on the other side. It is very hard to tell which side is the"right" side, so you can use as you want. The tops are unfinished. You can hem to your desired length. They measure approx. 50" long x 22 1/2" wide at the bottom and 18" wide at the tops. In good. Not perfect condition. The tiny flaws are hidden well in the beautiful pattern. Individual tape laces and motifs were hand assembled to look like Brussels lace flowers and vines. There is a large central motif filled with flowers and vines as well as a smaller one on the pillow sham portion at the top. The sides are gently gathered and edged in more lace and leafy vines. No border top or bottom. The color is ivory and appears almost as pale yellow. The photos were taken on a full size. The overhang will be longer on a twin. These bedspreads also make beautiful window treatments or bed canopies. I have a matching one up for auction this week if you need two. Condition; Overall condition is very good with small imperfections. Beautiful Antique Tambour Lace Curtains Details as follows: Two lace curtain panels measure 86 inches long by 46 inches wide. The lace is created with a Tambour tool on netting. The two panels are a matching pair. You can place one on two windows with perhaps a sash. Or both on one window- They each form an'L' shape design that meets in the middle. Very elaborate and wide floral Tambour lace with the opposite edges having a simpler matching Tambour lace trim. The tops are finished off with a seam for a rod and there is about 1 inch above that to create a very short ruffle. The condition of these I consider to be excellent given the age of these delicate lace curtains. There are a few very small holes in the netting which are less than 1/16th of an inch. And there are just a few very minor holes in the Tambour sections that are virtually ... moreunnoticeable and if you wish could be repaired. It is hard to find these curtains with no damage. Really can't go wrong using this anywhere as it's just lovely as a stand alone piece. There is a slightly risque figural semi nude lady in the embroidered center with lovely decorative tambour chain stitched design details. Condition is near excellent. There are several small minute breaks in the net and two breaks of note that are still quite small. all shown) These two small breaks could be repaired. But this displays beautifully as is and the tiny imperfections are lost in the folds. Fabric is sturdy without any dry rot ... moreor weakness. No stains. Antique tambour net lace curtain panel about 46" wide and 72" long. Floral embroidery along left hand scalloped edge and across lower scalloped hem. About 4½" deep from scalloped edge and 5½" from bottom hem. Pale cream cotton inserts in the embroidery and in all of the small flowers. There are quite a few holes. Repairs and some unstitching, see photos) reflected in the price. An area(last photo) where someone took the trouble to repair the net in almost the same stitching.
