Lace "Dressing Table?" Doilies/Place mats.
These are six lace doilies which I would imagine would be for a dressing table or tea table. They are exquisitely carefully made and I have to let the photos tell their story since my knowledge of lace is pretty non-existant. I know that they were my late mother's but I have never seen them being used. She had many things from her mother so I would imagine that they are early 20th century or late Victorian. They are somewhat discoloured from lack of use. Any more information please ask.

Sideboard or side table mats, coasters, doilies etc. With a couple of sets of serviettes too Fabulous drawn stitch linen mat 22" x 16" fab for a coffee table. Cream embroidered mat 22" x 13" Lovely set of round scallop edged floral embroidered mats. 1 large measures 14 inches across. 6 x 9 inches across(2 have a couple of marks on them) 6 x 7 inches across 2 x 7 inches across different floral embroidery and darker blue around the scalloped edge. 6 x 3 1/2 inches across. All in general good clean condition with the exception of the 2 mentioned. 2 x Square 10"x10" serviettes or mats- green edged with peach and green tulip style flower. 4 x serviettes with coffee embroidered broderie anglais pattern still stitched together in half of the box. 3 x gorgeous old laced edged ... moreround mats/ doilies slightly coming away in the middle on two but doesn't spoil them. One of them has a cup stain on one side but it doesn't show through to the other sie. These are just lovely they measure 9 1/2 inches across 2 D Shaped broderie anglais mats- measure 16 inches across straight edge. One of thise is discoloured on one of the corners. 2 x unusual shaped mats edged with blue with applique and embroidered water carriers. 4 embossed satin sheen serviettes/mats 15 x 15" Matching oval and 2 round scalloped edged grey embroidered mats- oval measures 15 inches across longest part- round measure 7 inchs across.

I believe these 3 doilies date from the 1930's and are made of rayon I think. They need pressing. The large one os 11" x 8" and the 2 smaller ones are 6.5" square. A vintage collection of dressing table mats. Two sets of three mats. All in a lovely delicate shade of pale peach/ salmon pink. One set is made up of hand crochet circles ~ the largest mat measuring 15" x 9" With two smaller mats in the same design. The second set is very pretty with a shell design and delicate scalloped borders. The largest mat in this set measures 13 1/2" x 8 1/2" Also with two smaller mats in the same design measuring 9" diameter. All in superb. Freshly laundered condition.

Set of 4 handmade crochet-edged Dressing Table mats- 1950s or earlier Amongst a collection of lace and table linen my mother inherited ages ago. Comprises a larger cloth and three smaller doilies. The earliest they could have been made was the 1950s. But I suspect they may be older. Large cloth is 18" x 9" Two doilies are c 7" x 7" One doily is 9" x 9" and has a tiny hole in the edge of the cotton centre. Fine crochet lace edging. Off-white coloured. No marks; lovely condition. I try to use recycled packaging where possible. Suggest 2nd class postage(including the eBay commission) Please ask for other options. I do retain proof of posting. PayPal please.
