Wide antique/vintage Brussels net on net appliqué lace flounce - spotted tulips
This is an impressive Brussels wide net on net appliqué lace flounce. With an ornate baroque design of spotted tulips, daffodils and trailing flowers. I'm pretty sure that this has been re-claimed from a dress- although condition is generally good there is some damage to the top straight edge, scatterings of small holes and several neat repairs. Including a small patched area to bottom scallop. Occasionally net is coming away from the tambour edge. This is part of a family collection I bought recently which includes the tambour veil already listed. It measures 34 ins wide. 2 yards 29 inches long.

I recently bought an interesting collection of lace edgings and flounces from the collection of the late Susan Cox who founded the Tiverton lace school. It measures 11" at the narrower point. Doily is a squarish round. Very nicely executed lace with charming detail. Very Good condition. No stains. Netting is perfect. The color is"Linen White" Not really ecru, but not pure white. There is also subtle shading at differnet points, as is usual for princess. lace. Princess lace is a tape lace usually worked on netting. The tapes are shaped and scalloped. Unlike the straight tapes of Battenberg. Princess lace often imatates the flowers. We recently Purchased an Estate of Victorian Era Clothing& Pretties! Everything from this Estate looks to be from the Victorian/Edwardian Era and Flapper Era as well! We will be Listing Clothing& Accessories as we can find time so take a peek from time to time! It will probably take me a year to get through it all! We have Listed most of the Fabric remnants so take a peek at what is left! Still finding some ribbon pieces. Trimmings, and such though! This is a wonderful long length of late 19th century Brussels Point de Gaze lace with a beautiful delicate floral design. It measures 5 yards by 11.7 ins. This has no joins and both ends are finished. So I presume it is unused, although there is some loose hand stitching to top edge. It has a lovely crisp finish, though it really does need to be carefully cleaned- colour is a mid ecru and there are areas of pale age browning( one illustrated) In addition there are 2 dark brown age marks, which will be more difficult to remove, though they are near one end. There is the occasional small hole, but apart from this good condition. This is a very pretty Brussels applique lace scarf/shawl. It has a design of ribbons and bows with scrolling flowers and rosebuds. Near very good condition- just a couple of small repairs and very minor pale brown age marks. Unusually this is the very palest pink colour- it looks white initially. Eight beautiful pieces of antique Brussels Princess lace which imagine were taken from a Victorian wedding dress due to their shapes. They are covered in exquisite floral patterns and swags and many have beautifully detailed scalloped edges. They would date from around 1890. They are in beautiful good and strong condition and and do not have any stains or age discolouration. There is only one piece as pictured which has many holes. The other pieces are virtually hole free. Vintage Antique Lace Brussels Duchesse Point de Gaze Handmade BIG Bertha collar
This is a BIG. Beautiful collar or table centerpiece. Originally a circle, it unfortunately is now in 3 pieces which can be put together. The lace is fabulous. All handmade. Most likely from turn of the 19-20th century. I am not an expert in types of lace. I am making my best guess in the title. But it is handmade without question, 3-dimensional, and fabulous. The leaves stick out and above the body of the lace. Hard to see in the pictures. Check the pictures carefully for the dimensions. I have laid out measuring tapes on the lace. No brown spots. Perfumes, smells, or problems- except the tears. Totally fabulous. Even if you didn't sew the pieces together, the biggest piece would make a terrific statement.
