It is thought to be 19th century French. Extremely delicate lace work. In spite of its uneven coloring. Probably due to its old age, it is still beautiful. It has some tears and one rust colored stain(measures 3/4" x 1/2" But as you can see from my photos, when you insert a pillow form, it is charming and romantic. I acquired this pillow cover from a friend who collected vintage linens for more than 30 years. It was stored flat in a bureau of a smoke-free pet-free home for a very. Very long time. I am not an expert in linens so I have taken ... morephotos for you. Overall it measures 24 x 17" approx. I was able to insert a foam boudoir pillow I had on hand that measured 20 x 10" and you can see from the photo of the back that the cover almost fit it. Vintage tambour French net lace coverlet tablecloth with a grape vine embroidered motif. This excellent piece is pretty old probably from the late 50's or early 60's. It has one pinhead and one finger nail hole see pics 8+9. As seen in these pictures it is washed. Cleaned, and should be considered one of the best and rarest in condition. Large size: 136" L x 62" W. It also has a beautiful pillow top and bottom foot oval arch design as pictured pics 6+7.The entire perimeter has a machine laced edge. Also trimmed in Valenciennes lace. The blouse is lined with an extra layer of net lace. The embroidered details are simply amazing and I can see a few small threads and knots. So I am assuming it was all hand embroidered. You have to look at the close up photos to see the unbelievable work put into it. It was cut into shawl form and does not have the edging throughout the whole thing as shown. Unsure what kind of lace it is considered but it is stunning. It measures about 54" wide(with a neck area trimmed for the neck) and about 24" wide at it's widest. And tapers up from there. REMNAN OF NET LACE. This is for a lovely remnant piece of tambour net lace. Not sure if was once a valance or something to that effect, its got rough edges and seams on both side before the rough edges. There is some staining and some holes, I try to show in photos, however its great to use as a runner or to drape over something. Its a nice large piece. THE CURTAIN IS 87 INCHES + 5 1/2 INCHES OF RUFFLE.MAKING IT A TOTAL OF 92 1/2 INCHES LONG IT IS 31 INCHES WIDE.NOT COUNTING THE RUFFLE ON THE SIDE. Beautiful Antique French Net Lace Tambour Wedding Veil Runner
I have had this beautiful ivory French net lace for years. And never really knew if it was a bridal veil or table runner. After checking eBay, I believe it to be a bridal veil with Tambour work. It measures 11 3" long and 22" wide. I have provided numerous photos so please view everything and ask any questions if you a re unsure before bidding. A lovely piece- in original condition. Unwashed and could use freshening up to even out color. Which I will leave to the experts. After reviewing the ebay photos on zoom. I notice 1 small 1. 5" section where the lace has come apart but should be an easy fix to repair. You can see it in the next to last photo. It measures 88" x 32" Beautiful pattern with embroidery and cutwork. There are two tears near the edge. There are several breaks in the net lace, most are near the bottom, and there are some tiny loose and fraying threads on the edge. See photos. Antique French Tambour Net Lace Pair Curtains Matching 118" Long Panel Set Lot A
This gorgeous pair of antique tambour lace panels are approximately 118" long and 37" wide. The rod pocket seams have come undone. So they are not finished at the tops and will be a little shorter once you turn the edges under to form the rod pocket. They would be great for a high ceiling room where more length is needed, or may be long enough for a standard size window with enough extra length to cut and to create valances from the excess at the tops! These panels are over 100 years old, so they have a lot of history which is reflected in the numerous small holes(most are rice sized, a few are pea sized, and there may be one kidney bean sized) some dark stains and soiling, darkening of the lace, and a few loose threads. There are some repairs to some of the tears/holes(one of the panels has a 5" repair to a tear) I have tried ... moreto get pictures of most of the worst of the defects between the two panels. They have not been washed. Antique tambour net lace curtain panel about 46" wide and 72" long. Floral embroidery along left hand scalloped edge and across lower scalloped hem. About 4½" deep from scalloped edge and 5½" from bottom hem. Pale cream cotton inserts in the embroidery and in all of the small flowers. There are quite a few holes. Repairs and some unstitching, see photos) reflected in the price. An area(last photo) where someone took the trouble to repair the net in almost the same stitching.
