Antique Victorian Tambour floral bouquet lace & satin boudoir pillow - dainty
This time of year; I always think of"White Sale" I'm listing linens! This auction is for a darling little Victorian era lace boudoir pillow. It features a Tambour floral bouquet design on fine cotton tulle netting. The edge of the pillow has a fine lace flounce. The back is plain cotton tulle netting. Inside. Lays a soft cream satin pillow. The pillow measures approximately 12" x 4" deep. Photos 1.2 and 6 were taken outside in natural light; the remainder taken under incandescent lighting. ISSUES: This darling. Dainty little pillow has some issues. The tulle netting has a number of holes(see photos 6-9) Several are sizable. It probably could be relined with some tulle and the raw edges could be basted back down; but it was a task that I didn't wish to undertake. The satin pillow seems to be quite intact. There ... moreappear to be no stains. The back opening originally had two Mother of Pearl buttons for closures; one is missing and the opening is whipped closed. Nestled among other pretty boudoir pillows, the damage may not be very noticeable. This item does not smell of smoke. Mildew, must, mothballs or have pet odor. Antique French Normandy Alencon lace boudoir pillow with cherubs or angels
Fabulous French Normandy lace pillow in varying shades of white and off-white laces. The center is a filet lace piece depicting 2 cherubs or angels. The outer edges and ruffle are Alencon laces and the corners are Irish crochet lace. Very nice, attractive piece to grace your boudoir. One small rip as seen in the photos; an easy mend. The back does not have any buttons, but it doesn't really need them since it fits tightly enough on the pillow. Pillow measures 12 x 12 without the ruffle and 17 x 17 including the ruffle.

Sweet vintage/antique Tambour Lace Boudoir Pillow. Exceptional detail on this delicate treasure! I purchased the pillow many years ago from the woman who bought it while on an antique hunting trip in Paris. Silk Pillow"form" that fills the pillow is a rose pink color and shows signs of age- could easily be swapped out for a new pillow form but thought the original should be sold with the lace cover- I love the"age" It gives it character in my humble opinion. See photos of the silk that has separated/ worn due to age. There is a water mark on the back of the pillow- on the silk` also shown in photo. Top of pillow- there are small"pulls" in the thread of the lace that I have captured in the photographs- I believe this can be overlooked as I have had it on display for many years on a velvet settee with other pillows ... moreand the"pulls" have not affected the overall look of the display. Antique square French Lace pillow cover, 20 x 20, ca 1928 boudoir, tagged France
This lovely pillow case was a wedding shower gift to my mother when she marred in 1928. She kept everything and many things were never used. A floral and leaf design is centered on the pillow and in the last two photos I have put white paper underneath so you can see the design better. Tags are still attached. an opening on the back on the back is secured with a small MOP button. The pillow area measures 14" square and the exterior ruffle is about 2-2/3" wide. The shirred band that surrounds the central design is 3" wide. There are many ways you can give new life to this treasured piece of lace handwork. A very fine and rare antique Italian Figural Needle Lace Boudoir Pillow Cover with a linen back. The cover has elaborate hand embroidered whitework. Reticella inserts. Cutwork and finished with a floral filet lace trim. This was probably made for a bride's trousseau. A wonderful motif with a horse-drawn chariot driven by a winged figure led by another cherub and a cherub flying above with a variety of maidens standing near. I placed a blue fabric inside the cover to better show the detail. The back has three buttons with loops for closure. Excellent workmanship and condition. I could not find any breaks or other flaws. A few minor frays on the filet lace. It has a slight yellowing from age. It looks like a cream-color but may whiten when washed. Size- 21" x 17" including the trim. Two antique Italian Figural Filet Lace and Needle Lace Boudoir Pillow Covers with a linen back featuring cherubs. Hand embroidered whitework with heavy satin padded stitches. Eyelets and cutwork. The pillows are included. One pillow cover is finished with a floral filet lace trim and the second is finished with a different trim on the ends and on the back opening. Exquisite Antique Brussels Lace Boudoir Pillow Cover Calla Lily Handmade
We believe this is a cover that would have been laid atop a pillow(not a pillowcase/sleeve) It may also have been used atop a vanity or table. My father didn't recognize it and thinks it belonged to my great grandmother which means it may have been created in the UK or come from somewhere else in Europe. Because of this. We think it dates late 1800s to early 1900s. We are not lace experts, but my sister has sewn for many years and is confident this is handmade. Measures 25"x17" A few very small stains as indicated in photo. It was hiding in my grandmother's(b.1896) family steamer trunk for well over 70 years along with blouses. Beautiful Vintage Antique Lace Boudoir Pillow Satin Ribbon Musical Instruments
This auction is for a beautiful vintage Lace Boudoir Pillow. The lace top is sewn onto a satin pillow(a few loose stitches on one corner where the lace its attached to the pillow0. There are mauve/pink and blue satin ribbon accents under the lace and pretty satin flower appliques on the top. The center design has a harp. Drum and horn. The scalloped lace around the edge is approx. 6 1/4" wide. The satin pillow is approx. 16" by 12" not counting the 6 1/4" lace edge. There are some small holes in the lace trim, one hole in the lace on the top(see pics) a few tiny discoloration spots on the satin and a tiny pit of raveling on the flower appliques otherwise this beautiful pillow is in very good vintage condition. Here are two very lovely antique(1900-1925) or. At the very least vintage(1950's) super fine linen Italian Lace Boudoir Pillow Shams! Here are a pair of vintage Italian eyelet and needle lace. Embroidered lace boudoir pillow shams that measure 16” x 21” this is the case, plus.75” filet lace trim. These are a creamy off white made with super fine linen fabric and linen filet lace inserts and edging. Tiny little mother of pearl buttons hook into handmade needle lace loops on the back. These are a bit delicate, and need to be handled gently. There are some pin holes and repairs on the back of each case near the button edge. The edging lace tends to pull away from the stitches if you are not careful handling it so there are a few little repairs along the edges, well done and don’t show. The large filet inserts in the center of each sham each ... morehave two thread breaks. Most of the photos show these shams with a thick dark green felt pad inside to show the details of design and damage. Not sure of the age on these. NIB Old Hand Made Alencon Lace Boudoir Pillow Case Gelot St. Regis Hotel NYC
Never used. A very vintage boudoir pillow case with gorgeous hand made French Alencon lace forming the front and a hemstitched linen back. It was intended to hold a boudoir pillow and measures approx. 17-1/2 by 12 inches. It was found in its original unbroken box from a boutique that once flourished in New York City's St. Regis Hotel. The linen and lace pillow case has become ivory with time but the fabric is strong with no signs of weakness. We think the box was made prior to WW2 because the address doesn't have a mailing code. Antique Normandy Lace Boudoir Pillow Sham/Cover#3 This is one of a matching set that we have up for bids on ebay. Note: Please view all photos and be aware that any yellow tint on some of them is the result of closeups needed to show detail. The piece is an off white. Made of valenciennes lace and needlerun embroidered net lace. With sections of a very soft thin almost sheer cotton lawn adorned with soft white on white embroidery. The lace is made with fine thin threads and is very soft and supple. It has a cotton lawn backing. The buttons are missing. Measures approx 14" x 17 1/2" including lace ruffle. Pillow insert measures 11 1/2" x 15" A beautiful pillow- but not perfect. Needs some TLC. There are several holes on front net. The lawn fabric is thin and fragile with 2 wear holes on center circle and a few of the seams ... morein the lace needs tacking. The back has a large tear at closure seam and several holes. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE LACE & PETIT POINT PILLOW WITH ROSES BOUDOIR
This pillow is quite old and made of a beautiful ecru colored lace with roses. There is also a rose in the center insert which is done in a very fine petit point. The colors are very soft and dusty like. The pillow measures 10" x 14" not including the lace flounce which is 1" wide. It is in very good condition with the usual wear expected of something this age. The back has a water mark and some spots. There is a break near one corner in the lace edging. See photos. Measuring 23 x 24 inches including the 5-1/4" inch slightly ruffled edging all the way around. This barely off-white heart shaped pillow sham features an exquisite center pattern of an angel blowing a horn surrounded by branches of various florals. It is signed"Carlin" at the lower right side. The edging has a scrolling pattern of trailing vines. The net backing has three button closures and bears the original tag by Carlin Comforts. The sham accommodates an appx 12 x 12 inch heart shaped ... morepillow.
