Beautifully hand crafted. ... moreThese doilies each measure approx 5.5 inches across and feature flower and petal motifs that radiate from a central hexagonal panel of what I think is a fine-grade cotton or linen(please see photos) Considering their age. Condition is very good- excellent, with very little loss or breakage. However it must be noted that a few do have a little discoloration in places. But on the whole, they are very smart and presentable, as shown. These are antique. Handmade pieces and although I'm unsure of their exact date of creation, they must surely be Victorian or Edwardian at the latest( Antique textiles are not my area of specialism. But I'm absolutely sure these will make a very nice buy for someone out there. The doilies come complete with a period. Circular, fabric-covered holder as shown. UK P&P is £5. Europe P&P is £7. Four(4) beautiful antique and rare hand knitted crochet doilies. Created by my grandmother in the early 1900's and used around the house by the family in Salonica Greece usually during holidays or parties. The doily in the middle measures 8" in diameter and is lighter in color beige compared to the 3 doilies around it which measure 9" in diameter and are a little darker in beige color. In any case this is left up to the buyer to decide, please examine the pics carefully. These doilies have been in storage for the last 20 years and handled with a lot of care. Cleaned and pressed regularly then put back in storage, no rips, or stains are visible. Pretty pair vintage beige/pink square doilies/tablemats, open criss-cross design
Really pretty and quite amazingly crafted! The criss-cross section is made up from strands of thread held together by embroidered circles. The surround is a dusky pink embroidered band. Measure just under 6" square. In very good condition. Am selling a few other items of vintage textiles and would combine P&P to a max of £1.99 in the UK if bought together.
