The fabric I choose was a copy of an old Williamsburg style fabric, so I felt it very appropriate for this lovely rare stool. I actually call it a bench because it is so large. Condition: The stool is in excellent condition with no breaks or flaws to the old lovely patina. There is a repair to one corner and I took pictures so you could see it. Other than that it is lovely. It has never been around animals or smoke. I restore and reupholster my furniture when needed and I have a big carriage barn that I store my antiques in.NO animals.NO smoke and I sell in lovely condition. Age is my best guess around 1790 to 1820. The rectangle of the footstool is not exactly square. Its off a little bit.but THAT IS HOW THEY MADE IT. Here is a beautifully hand made Victorian cream lace purse/ bag. A skilled hand made this. it comes with some of its original silk ribbon tie that needs weaving through again(but you might want to replace it, as it's very fragile and has fraying) This purse measures approx 4. 3/4 inches x 4. 3/4 inches when laid flat. In overall good antique condition, but does have a couple of holes in the delicate lace. There is also a roll of fabric edging/ trim. Which has been hand stitched decorated with cross stitch pattern. VERY TINY! ANTIQUE TATTING LACE FLOWERS DOLLS FABRIC TRIM VINTAGE EDGING CROCHET
This is the tiniest and daintiest tatting lace I have ever seen. Each tiny little flower measures approx 1cm. It may look fragile but it is all very strong. And yet it still feels soft and almost featherweight. It could be used for all sorts of projects, dolls clothes is one that comes to my mind first. It is made of cotton or possibly linen I'm told it would have been handmade well over a 100 years ago. But I don't know where. The whole piece measures approx 2 x10 inches. It is undamaged and has the slightest age discolouration. Though I'm quite certain this would disappear if laundered. Please ask questions as selling as none returnable. A gorgeous long and wide length of rare floral antique fine Swiss embroidered white cotton edging trim measuring approx 78 x 10 inches. It is in very beautiful good strong antique condition with no marks or stains even though it has not been laundered. It is a pale antique white colour. I guess that it was once the bottom part of a dress or petticoat as it has 3 tiny darts about an inch long along the top edge(these could be unpicked) Suitable for all sorts of projects! I am pretty sure it is Swiss although to me it also has a bit of a French look and feel to it. I'm only 99% sure. I also have other antique embroidered white edgings.
