Very neatly hand crafted with a snow white, fine smooth Irish linen. The border has a ladder stitched 2 inch deep double hem. Mitred corners. The edge is finished with a most lovely 6 inch deep crochet lace with ribbons. Bows and diamond shapes throughout the design, slightly deeper to the corners at 7 inches. Condition is pristine. Free of wear or stains. Measures 107cm or 42 inches square. Weight is 214 grams unpackaged. The only other piece of Irish crochet I've seen done in similar scale was a fall cap I sold several months ago. As expected it's got smaller motifs in proportion to the piece. Really lovely and in near excellent condition. Tiny stitching in this piece. It's untreated with overall patina. But I see no holes and there may be a couple tiny thread breaks but nothing obvious.
