Antique Valenciennes Lace Embroidey Baby Bonnet Blue Ribbon Dolls Bears
From an Estate with lots of old Textiles. We will be Listing more lacey items. Trims, petticoats, pantaloons, lace, clothing, christening gowns, baby bonnets, and other items so keep checking back. Some of these pieces will have some age discoloration which will probably come out with soaking. We have not laundered any of them. We will note holes/ damage/ bad stains. We believe this to be some type of valenciennes lace(1/2" with embroidery on a very sheer type of fabric it is cream/ecru in color. Very sheer, blue ribbon closure it has some light stains and age discoloration on all. Antique vintage 1920s French silk baby or dolls bonnet w. rosettes& lace. Click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge I have just returned from my final Autumn trip to France for this season– there was one last end-of-season antique fair I was determined to truffle through! My contacts had also stored away some fabulous things for me to rummage through. And I bought several large trunks of antique textiles and ephemera from two particular large country house estates. There are some real treasures hidden away in those dusty boxes! Today I am listing a few items to tempt you, and to give you an idea of the delights to come! I have also posted a photograph at the end of the listing– a quick“loot shoot” of some of the items I will be listing in the weeks to come… Beautiful palest apricot silk crepe de chine baby or dolls bonnet. Trimmed ... morewith silk rosettes and lace. The bonnet is lined with the same apricot silk- no damage, marks or stains that I can spot. It can be secured under the chin with the two ecru silk ties. There is a floral embroidered motif on the crown and at the front of the bonnet. Measured from one tie to the other around the face is 32cm- the total circumference is 52cm. Nothing can beat the utter luxury of pure silk! More photographs below. PLEASE READ. I sell antique and vintage textiles and ephemera- unique items that have history. Antique Baby dress & bonnet net with Maltese silk h/made lace..............Dolls
Antique handmade sweet little net baby dress and bonnet trimmed with handmade silk Maltese lace. The dress measures 10 inches(25cm 5mm) across under arms by just under 23 inches(58cm) long from centre front and 54&1/2 inches(138cm) around the hem. It fastens at the back with 2 mother of pearl buttons, there are a very few very small holes in the net and a few of the Maltese lace motifs need a slight rejoin otherwise in good condition, The bonnet measures approx 12&1/2 inches(32cm) around the front and 9 inches(23cm) around the back edge, it has a silk lining, good condition but needs a ribbon to tie.
