You are buying an antique very long black silk Chantilly lace shawl. Stole or Mantilla. Measures 21" wide by 100" long. As you can see from the photos there are a couple of places on the edges where the lace has frayed a little however the main body of the stole appears to be free from damage. This auction is for a most beautiful antique French silk Chantilly lace flounce fragment. It is so fine. Delicate and feminine and its weave is very tight. It is off-white/cream in shade and is in great condition aside from very fine slits throughout, but not everywhere. It is not really noticeable, but if one wishes for absolute perfection, please think carefully before placing a bid, since this is being sold"As Is" This has the most gorgeous floral motif pattern and I believe one will love it. Exquisite 19th Century French Blue Silk Chantilly Lace Victorian Sleeves
Exquisite 19th Century French Blue Silk Chantilly Lace Victorian Sleeves Found in an Victorian sewing box. Exquisite French blue silk chantilly lace sleeves. Ready to be used on a Victorian dress. Now for the unusual part- there are 3 sleeves(yes 3! There are a pair of matched sleeves and another that is similar but wider than the other two. The silk chantilly lace is a beautiful shade of dusty teal French blue, and there is a pattern of small flowers and vines on the upper part of the sleeves which finishes at the cuffs with large flowers and leaves that make a scalloped edge. The two sleeves measure 24.5" long from the shoulder to the cuff, and are 5.5" wide which widens further in a bell shape to 7.5" at the end of the sleeve. The extra sleeve is 23" long, and 6" wide, widening to 9" wide at the end of the ... moresleeve. There is an additional remnant that is 24" x 2" There is enough lace in the extra sleeve to use as a bodice detail to match the sleeves. The sleeves have rolled seams down the inside, and have never been used. What happened to this project: gilted bride, lazy seamstress or just got too busy- we'll never know. But what a nice surprise at the bottom of the Victorian sewing basket- sleeves and enough lace for a matching bodice piece all ready for someone else to make or restore a Victorian dress. Edwardian silk and cotton Chantilly lace ribbon embroidery roses pillow topper A beautiful circa very early 1900's silk pillow/table topper with white Chantilly lace trim. Measures just a bit over 26" square including the lace trim when measuring across the center points; the lace is about 5 1/4" The center silk panel is hand embroidered with silk thread and ribbon. Overall condition is very good as the pictures show; there are three pin point sized holes which I have tried to get a picture of but I don't think that they showed up very well. Very Pretty Antique Victorian Black Silk Chantilly Lace x 3 Lengths
A lot of 3 lengths of late 19th century French black silk chantilly lace. The first design is slightly deeper at 14.5cm and this single length measures 76cm. The other two pieces are the same design. Slightly narrower at 10.5cm and both measure 110cm long each. All 3 pieces are in very good condition, with only a couple of tiny holes in the net that can be found. From a non~smoking home. Estate found nineteenth century Victorian ladies black silk veil with a continuous floral border, four bouquets and a multitude of floral sprigs on the net ground. We are not lace experts but think that this is a handmade(or bobbin) lace veil due to the fineness of the soft silk thread under magnification with a loupe. Upon very close inspection the design appears to be embroidered or woven into the net ground, see extreme close-ups) Attached to the veil with a straight pin is an old handwritten note in a cursive thread which reads: This veil belonged to my mother(Mrs. Hannah Phripp Sleight) March 11, 1878/ Caroline M. Hitchcock” we removed the pin& sleeved the note) It measures 40” long x37-1/2” wide. The condition is good with no rips, tears, holes or repairs. There are numerous tiny, old reddish brown spots of discoloration on the floral design, to include: two on the bottom left corner, one on the fourth flower from the right on the bottom border, three on the top right border& several along the top edge and about a dozen spots in the net(none are structural– the ones on the net are apparent on

A lovely length of mid-nineteenth century(we believe to be) handmade French bobbin lace with a continuous floral border and floral sprigs on the net. The threads are made of a very soft silk and upon close inspection with a loupe the design appears to have been woven into the net ground. It measures 7” wide x 115” 3 yards& 7” Condition: there are two 1/8” diameter holes in the net. One 1/8” x 3/8” hole and several pinhead size holes scattered throughout, see numerous close-ups. In addition there are numerous spots of reddish brown discoloration(not structural) that we suspect are not stains but have to do with the oxidation of the black iron dye used in the nineteenth century. It has not been laundered or pressed and has only recently seen the light of day after being stored for approximately 130 years. This is one lot of a group of exquisite antique French lace veils& mantillas we currently have listed in separate auctions. ANTIQUE SILK BLACK SHAWL FROM FRANCE MACHINE MADE LATE 19 C CHANTILLY LACE GENEROUS YARDAGE IF YOU WANT TO USE IT FOR OTHER PROJECTS BUT IT IS PERFECTLY WEARABLE AS A SHAWL 2 yards 5/8 in length and 23 inches wide It has no smell and it is extremely clean as it is made of silk and was carefully wrapped all these years. However. If you look at it closely you notice some small repairs to be done to mend holes. If you have silk black thread it should be fairly easy. I did not want to do it. It is about 95 inches in length and 23" wide. You could use it as a sophisticated neck scarf or a shawl. It has vintage elegance and it is surprisingly warm.
