Wide antique/vintage Brussels net on net appliqué lace flounce - spotted tulips
This is an impressive Brussels wide net on net appliqué lace flounce. With an ornate baroque design of spotted tulips, daffodils and trailing flowers. I'm pretty sure that this has been re-claimed from a dress- although condition is generally good there is some damage to the top straight edge, scatterings of small holes and several neat repairs. Including a small patched area to bottom scallop. Occasionally net is coming away from the tambour edge. This is part of a family collection I bought recently which includes the tambour veil already listed. It measures 34 ins wide. 2 yards 29 inches long.

Antique 7 yards deep machine lace and net flounce - natural silk colour
7 yards(approx. 630cms) l silk. Machine made lace which has been packed away for years, and never made up into anything. Collectively, this material has a pale coffee colour appearance, or a natural silk colour) but put against different coloured backgrounds, this can change. The overall depth(net and lace) measures 41" 104cms) the lace alone takes up approx. 20"51cms) of this. As my 8th picture shows, each scallop lifts free from the net. There are 4 scallops. This length is all in one continuous piece and is in good, unused condition. This may be as early as late Victorian, or Edwardian.

This auction is for a wonderful and unique antique embroidered silk net tulle lace flounce featuring large flower and leaf design. This is very old. A rare find and is in great condition with no flaws that I detect. The netting is very fine and delicate, and shows no signs of brittleness or deterioration. Although it is crisp and may have the appearance of cotton fibers, a burn test indicates silk fiber content. The net lace ground square shapes are about a tad over 1/16" This is a must for the collector and very scarce, indeed. This measures approximately 31" x 16" total;each flower is approximately 5.5" x 5.5" this is the sheer portion only) This is for a total of five(5) full flower motifs.

ANTIQUE FRENCH NET LACE TULLE SILVER METAL EMBROIDERED FLOWER FLOUNCE FRAG DOLLS
This auction is for an exquisite antique French early 1900s embroidered fine silver metal embroidered net lace tulle textile fragment. It measures approximately 17" across(measured along bottom due to its stability) x 19" top-to-bottom e dge. There are a total of five full scallops. One on the very edge is slightly torn and only a small portion of metal lace. It is approximately 9 3/4" from top edge of embroidered dot to bottom edge of scallop ONLY(entire embroidered portion only) Each scallop from point-to-point is about 3 1/4" There are no other rips. Tears or stains aside from aforementioned flaw. The tulle ground is cotton with a very fine weave. The silver metal threads are NOT metallic, but metal, wrapped around a fine cotton thread. The scallops have a lovely sparkling quality and there is no tarnishing. This is ... morea very feminine and simply stunning lace fragment. Its dainty floral pattern throughout has small flowers in shades of pale blue, peach, etc. outlined with metal threads as well. All photos have been taken in natural light with no flash. This is being sold"AS IS" This is lovely to be used as a small flounce for a doll's gown. One will love this…it is my only piece.

Antique net lace unfinished ruffled skirt panel. more pictures below description) Dense Tambour embroidery and heavily padded ornate Schiffli inserts. It's to die for beautiful. One of the most visually stunning pieces I've ever sold. Four areas of damage in the bottom ruffle that fall into the folds(these four areas are shown in the last pictures) otherwise very good with a few small breaks& small net repairs scattered in other areas of the ruffle. One of the four damaged areas of ruffle shown is right on the edge and could be cut out. The others could be seamed or repaired with net from an edge. Upper portion is near perfect as far as I can see. Another area without breaks. ... moreBut with repairs is also shown as part of the last 5 pictures. The top edge is raw and unfinished(would be gorgeous with a simple silk/ satin ribbon band at the waist) and it has two raw edges where the pattern meets vertically down the width of the panel and a seam would need to be sewn for a finished skirt. You could also fashion this into a curtain or many other things; in my humble opinion the finest use would be for a stunning bridal gown or skirt. Fabulous piece. Untreated. Clean with a couple tan areas, these are very faint and I did not treat this as it would be best done after any repairs are made(if you wish to make them, IMO stabilizing is all that's needed) Measurements(approx) Top edge 62" inches. Top to bottom 48" inches(width) bottom edge a WHOPPING 226" inches, which is why it lays so beautifully on the mannequin in ruffled/ flounced layers. Fine& gorgeous antique Brussels Princess Lace trim. Circa 1890. Lush, detailed- this is simply beautiful! Size is 12 x 68 inches. Color is ecru. Four full repeats, and at least 3/4 of each motif at each side. Slightly shabby. Sold as is. Estate fresh and not laundered. A few dark storage spots, a large water stain(2nd last photo) and some holes(last photo) Some hooks are attached along one end, but I don't think this lace was ever used. A lovely length of mid-nineteenth century(we believe to be) handmade French bobbin lace with a continuous floral border and floral sprigs on the net. The threads are made of a very soft silk and upon close inspection with a loupe the design appears to have been woven into the net ground. It measures 7” wide x 115” 3 yards& 7” Condition: there are two 1/8” diameter holes in the net. One 1/8” x 3/8” hole and several pinhead size holes scattered throughout, see numerous close-ups. In addition there are numerous spots of reddish brown discoloration(not structural) that we suspect are not stains but have to do with the oxidation of the black iron dye used in the nineteenth century. It has not been laundered or pressed and has only recently seen the light of day after being stored for approximately 130 years. This is one lot of a group of exquisite antique French lace veils& mantillas we currently have listed in separate auctions.
