I am selling a vintage style channel back chair probably from the forties or fifties. It was reupholstered in a classic sage green chenille fabric. The chair was completely gone over. It is ready for another fifty years of use. Yo will never be able to say that about new furniture today. It is a small size chair. The make great bedroom chairs. This is a wonderful set of eight matching solid mahogany dining chairs that are made by the White Furniture Company out of Mebane. North ... moreCarolina, and I believe they date from the 1950s or‘60s. They’re nice solid-made chairs, all solid mahogany, including the fancy cutout center splat. Each detailed chair has a most unusual tapered four-sided angled mahogany cross-stretcher. The chairs are country Chippendale, with a country Chippendale front leg, flared back leg, solid mahogany center splat, carved knuckles on the arm chairs, and the entire set consists of two arm chairs and six sides. The seats are frayed, and I’m assuming they should be replaced. They are usable, but are very easily recovered, as they are slip-on seats. They have a dark reddish-brown finish, and the overall condition is good and sturdy. You can see where one chair was repaired at one time, and it looks like a really good job, but we’ll check it all over. There is also some finish worn off on one of the master chair arms, which we will detail out before shipping. This Listing is for two Eames DCM cowhide chairs circa 1970. It seems that both came from the estate of the original owner who at one point started to refurbish them. But came up short. Both are in functional condition, but they need some work. It is possible that the eames chair with black feet is not an original cowhide DCM chair, but that it was possibly made to match the DCM chair with white feet, which has slightly more wear consistent with a chair from the 1970 period. The tags and stamps are not on the chairs, however there are areas of discoloration which seem consistent with what original Eames cowhide chairs tags and stamps would have been. This all being said. They are charming and quite rare examples of classic Eames, particularly since the comfortable cowhide surface denotes a uniquely american response to the overwhelming danish/european ... moreinfluence of the mid century modern design movement. They are wonderful and functional in their current condition.and though they would need some restoration to become showroom caliber pieces, they are by far superior in comfort, historical relevance, and rare styling than the many knockoffs and modern day reproductions that are available new today. These chairs in excellent condition often sell for between $1000- $2000 per chair. However, these chairs are listed for only $445 for BOTH chairs, shipping included. I am told proper refurbishing or restoration typically increases the value a significant amount in these types of circumstances, however I have not looked into this myself regarding these chairs. SIZEOverall Dimensions 35" H X 36" Dia 88.9cm H X 91.4cm Dia DESCRIPTION This is a rare example of the Recorder's chair by Gideon Kramer(1917- which was designed for the observation deck of the Space Needle in Seattle Washington. It has its original orange fabric upholstery and carpeted disc base. Measures 35 in(88.9 cm) tall. 36 in(91.4 cm) across at the base, and has a seat height of 18.5 in(47 cm) The one-piece seat and arms are very similar to Kramer's Ion chair, designed and first produced in the 1940s by Kramer's Ion Corporation, and were featured in the restaurant at the Space Needle, circa 1962. Unlike the Ion chair, this model rests upon a chrome-plated stem in three sections that all rotate 360 degrees, allowing the sitter to spin the chair simultaneously in opposite directions. Condition is good. There are ... moretwo wear marks on the upholstery on the left and right side of the back rest. The joints that attach from the base have a few rust spots on them, but nothing that seems couldn't be buffed out. Vintg. Distressed Brown Leather Craft Chesterfield Style Executive Office Swivel
Beautiful and stately distressed brown executive office chair by the brand Leathercraft. I purchased the chair second hand. So what I know about it is what I'm listing. Leathercraft has been in business for over 40 years and makes custom furniture. If you go to their website, you will quickly see that their prices run in to the thousands. Other items by this brand have been listed at $395 and well above. It is definitely distressed but I think that adds to the cool factor! Chair roughly measure 48" in height from bottom caster to top back of chair 24" in length from back of chair to front cushion and 27" in width from widest part of seat cushion. Castors measure 28" across. One castor has come off but I have it and it comes with the chair. I have taken multiple clear photos so please make sure you examine them all ... moreclosely.
