It does have some minor scratches and the chair backs have some white paint residue where the chair was up against the wall. One of the chairs has a small split at the front edge. The largest issue is where the veneer started splitting from the edge of the table and was repaired with screws. All of these issues are in the photos. 4 Mid-Century Modern Danish style Caneback/Black Stakmore Padded Folding Chairs
Here is a great set of four mid-century modern chairs made by Stakmore; they have a great Danish modern style. We bought them when we had a smaller table. But we upgraded to a table that now can seat 10 and no longer need them. They seats are well padded and are about 16" high or so. They fold to being about 6-7" deep(they have a slight elegant curve back) Besides showing you the overall photo of one unfolded and 3 folded, I took photos of the primary flaws. Each chairs has small nicks, which are typical wear for chairs this age(they were made around the late 50s early 60s) Two chairs have about a 3 inch slit; again nothing unusual and when you stand back they are barely noticeable. The back seems to still hold good integrity. Lastly the chairs had a previous owner's patch repair, which, while not perfect, isn't that noticeable. ... moreThe larger of the two little patches is a bit larger than the size of a quarter across. This set of four vintage mid century modern wood and chrome numbered chairs are in great condition. They are not the new cheap ones you will find up for sale. These are constructed much better if you compare whats out there. They are also numbered. Seen in photos. The measurements are, 33" high, seat 17" across, 16" deep, back is 15" high, 16" across, seat to floor is 18" wood is 1/2" thick. A couple very minorsign of age, small ding or two. The last two pictures compare the newer chairs with the original one. The measurement difference in the two are as follows, seat thickness, new 6/16, old 7/16, front of seat new 7/16, old 9/16, under plate, new 5/16, old1/2.
