Pair of swiveling club chairs purchased new in the early 60's with one continuous owner. These are commercial grade chairs made for lounges and bars but these were ordered for use in a private home and made in southern California. Measure 27" wide x 26" deep x 28" tall. Brass tacks and brass buttons used in the tuck and roll upholstery. Work and sit as they should and see above and pics for condition. To me these have early 1950's lines like some things done by Gilbert Rohde and Milo Baughman or made by Heywood Wakefield but i'm sure they were made into the 60's and were put in upscale trendy spots at the time. No issues other than minor wear on fabric. Tare about 35 years old. No smoke/smells. Has a few small light stains but still look very good. One chair has a small ink stain on the side toward arm and other has small tear on arm. Would look great reupholstered. Need professionally cleaned. Selling cheap! 2 Pair Vintage Modern Swivel Barrel Tub Club Lounge Chairs MCM Milo Baughman Era
Also have one additional matching chair listed up for auction* Beautiful pair of vintage modern barrel chairs in the style of Milo Baughman. Chairs swivel and lightly rock. Both chairs are solid and mechanically sound with cushions being firm with no sagging. Pretty pastel ikat pattern on cushions with the frame being a light grayish blue in color. I believe the material to be a part silk and linen or possibly 100% silk but am uncertain. Upholstery is in nice vintage condition as pictures show. Minor vintage wear. No rips, tears or funky odors. The actual seat and back cushion are in mint condition on both chairs. The solid color frame does show some minor wear at arms and base and some very light fading to bottom. I personally do not feel they need reupholstered if material, pattern and color is to your liking. Could use a cleaning to the ... morebase/arms but again, I personally don't feel it's totally necessary. One chair does have two small red stains on the front side of bottom base, please zoom in on second picture, left side chair. Wooden base's could be refinished. I can provide more pictures upon request. Local pick-up. Buyer is responsible for paying for and setting up shipping.
