TWO Vintage Herman Miller Eames Fiberglass Shell Chairs- GREY Up for auction is two Vintage Herman Miller Side Shell Chairs- Grey in Color; IN FAIR CONDITION These chairs were from an estate. They are scratched. Faded/water marks? have scratches, scuffs and a couple peel marks? They appear to have had sat outside for a period of time but not sure how long. And the edges are worn and has one ding mark on the back side edge(see picture) it doesn't go all the way through the edge it is only one sided. One chair has some spots on the back and bottom of the chair. There are four shock mounts on each chair, but only three screws/bolts per chair so one chair is missing one bolt; the screw/bolts are somewhat rusty as well. One chairs mounts are also missing part of the rubber/glue that holds the mount on if you zoom in on the pictures you can ... moresee it. Please review pictures as they are a part of this description and so you can see more of the condition in your own detail. I haven't seen any cracks or chips, just wear along the edges and scratches on the chairs. There are no labels on the bottoms of these chairs only the embossed markings. I have combined those markings into one picture. The marking with the circled star-like is on the bottom of the one with the spots on it, the one with the circled"S" is on the bottom of the other one. These are good sturdy chairs and with a little TLC can become great chairs once again. Nice fibers and fair color- there is fading(water marks) on the seats of both chairs, just need to be cleaned up a bit and a little reconditioning is all. THIS AUCTION DOES NOT INCLUDE THE BASES! you are bidding on a set of six chairs designed by charles eames for herman miller. they retain their original early labels. these were purchased from the estate of the original owners and not an assembled set. the white wire shells are in great shape having been protected by the pads. there are no broken welds or repairs. the pads are generally worn throughout as pictured. the rare swivel contract bases are all in great shape and perfect working order. all of the original glides are there. aside from needing to be cleaned up a little when the pads are removed. Up for your consideration is this set of FOUR warm yellow Herman Miller original vintage side chairs. These chairs are in very good vintage condition. None of the chairs have any chips, cracks, significant edge wear or holes. All chairs have original shock mounts present(no mounting hardware or bases are included. some of the chairs show age appropriate wear, or some areas of staining deep into the fibers. I have photographed the worst of this staining, we have not attempted to clean this and it is largely inconspicuous. This is a set of 3 vintage 60's or 70's elephant gray Herman Miller Eames side shell chairs. Shells only. These are in good used condition. Light scratches and scuffs in spots but these will clean up well. No chips or cracks. One shell is missing a shock mount and some of the mounts need to be replaced. They are mounted in the wide position and will only fit a wide stacker base. New mounts can be repositioned in the narrow position to fit all other bases. Nice set. Just need a little TLC.
