As you can see, these chairs are unique from most lounge chairs of this style because the outside of each chair is higher than the inside. These mid century modern round velvet club chairs are a rich unique persimmon color. Not red, not orange, somewhere in between. They are very solid and well made, in very good condition, with no rips, no tears, no stains, no loose stitching, everything is intact. They swivel a full 360 degrees. I don't know if they're 40's, 50's or 60's. They are very clean underneath and the wood legs and insets on the back of the chairs appear to be oak or maple. The underside of the chairs are immaculate, no loose staples and no tearing, fading or slack in the fabric. The upholstery has no areas where the velvet has been rubbed off. There is a little light soiling at the stress points that is normal for furniture this age and does not detract from the overall integrity of the look. Also have one additional matching chair listed up for auction* Beautiful pair of vintage modern barrel chairs in the style of Milo Baughman. Chairs swivel and lightly rock. Both chairs are solid and mechanically sound with cushions being firm with no sagging. Pretty pastel ikat pattern on cushions with the frame being a light grayish blue in color. I believe the material to be a part silk and linen or possibly 100% silk but am uncertain. Upholstery is in nice vintage condition as pictures show. Minor vintage wear. No rips, tears or funky odors. The actual seat and back cushion are in mint condition on both chairs. The solid color frame does show some minor wear at arms and base and some very light fading to bottom. I personally do not feel they need reupholstered if material, pattern and color is to your liking. Could use a cleaning to the ... morebase/arms but again, I personally don't feel it's totally necessary.
