They do not have the Knoll studio etching but you can tell from the pads and the way the vertical wires are welded onto the top bar that these are 100% authentic. Plus. You can't find Satin Chrome fakes, unless I'm wrong, which I could be. But these were purchased from a Knoll dealer and everything about the chairs is spot on. The four chairs, bought new today, with the upgrade in finish and leather seating pads, from yliving.com would be $5,756.00 delivered. These are in near perfect condition, with only the one pad, shown in pic 6, having slight white markings. There are some tiny nicks in the satin chrome bases but nothing that you can see without searching. I will gladly provide more photos upon request. These measure 29" tall x 21" wide x 21" deep from the top of the back to the front of the seat. The width is of the seat at its widest point. Vintage Set of 4 Harry Bertoia by Knoll Eames Childs Wire Shell Chairs 23" Tall
Vintage- Set of 4- 1950's Harry Bertoia Child Wire Shell Chairs by Knoll- Eames Era 23" tall. 15" seat height, 15 3/4" wide, 16" deep One of the chairs finish looks a little different than the rest. Looks like a paint finish. Rather than thicker"enameled" This chair is in great condition besides one tiny 1/8" weld in one spot. Three chairs appear to have a thicker"enameled" coating. One has 5 welds. One has two welds, and the third has 6. Some of the enamel finish is thick in places. The pads shown came on the chairs when I purchaed! Good preowned Condition- All show chips in paint I included close up pics of the largest weld areas. All chairs are sturdy and very usable as they sit!

Eight! Bertoia Side Chairs with cushions All original Vintage
Eight Chairs! All in good used condition. Just came out of an older home. Miner rust overall. Hardware has been replaced. The orange cushions are all in good condition top side. Inside foam has stiffened and crunchy. Two have their straps intact. Three have their straps. But one side has come undone. Three have one of the two straps missing. These are an estate find and are in good condition for their age and are all original. Material has some wear and a bit of light discoloration on one cover but is still intact and presentable, chrome frame is good condition but would benefit from a good cleaning and some polish to bring them back to full luster. Above are four very rare Bertoia"Wire" Fiberglass Side Chairs produced by Knoll in 1963(They were only produced for one year) These would make great patio seating. This is for a set of four(4) chairs. No shipping. Pick up in Long Beach. CA- AFTER payment in advance ONLY. The fiberglass of these chairs have been. Chipped, patched, and painted twice- so I think it will be impossible to get back to the original fiberglass. The blue paint color is very close to the fiberglass color. There are still a few chips(see the pictures) and they need to be sanded, patched, and repainted. One chair base, instead of having it metal base screwed to the metal attachment that is glued to the fiberglass, has been welded to the seat so the base cannot be removed. They have been in my family all these years resulting in natural wear: a bit of rust on the screws at the leg/seat joints(see photo) the powder coat finish has some very slight indentations on the legs near the ground(see photo) one chair has a tiny crack in the wire that can be welded(see photo) Used lovingly. The olive green covers are original and show some wear. The foam cushioning has deteriorated and become stiff, and will need to be replaced. The covers have a drawstring to hold them on the chair, and one chair will need a replacement string. The dimensions 31 inches tall, and 33 inches at the widest point. They are missing their original tags. Surprisingly comfortable chairs due to the unique design, and so very Mid Century Modern. Offered for your review and consideration is this absolutely outstanding and professionally restored PAIR of VINTAGE HARRY BERTOIA for KNOLL WIRE CAGE SIDE CHAIRS. FULLY RESTORED and RECONDITIONED, with WHITE STEEL WIRE BASKETS and BLACK STEEL ROD BASES, INCLUDING NEW THREADED BOLT FASTENERS and LOCK-TIGHT NUTS. Each side chair measures 31" in height x 21 1/2" in width. They have a seat depth of 19 1/2" and measure 18" up to the bottom of the seat from the ground. This pair of Harry Bertoia's famous. Iconic American Modernist wire cage side chairs were carefully and conscientiously taken down, sanded, wire brushed and then primed with rust-inhibitive metal primer and then two-coated with satin white spray on the upper steel wire cage basket seats and with satin black spray on the steel rod bases. The chairs had some ... moreminor surface rusting prior to being reconditioned. Now, they're ready to go and to immediately use on your patio, breezeway or in the interior of your home. The finish is as the chairs would have been originally constituted. Now there's no surface rust to distract from the chair's wonderful and award winning design. Designed back in 1952 by Harry Bertoia for Knoll. T his American design masterpiece. Earned Bertoia a Designer of the Year award in 1955. The chairs have a light and airy feel and appear semi-transparent, with the framed negative spaces of the steel rod wire cages allowing light and what's behind the chairs to remain visible and to come forward. The steel rod bases also allow light and air to pass through them, contributing to their pristine, delicate appearance. Sturdy and elegant, these chairs seem to betray their welded steel construction and have lift and appear as if they are balancing on the ground, rather than being firmly planted on it. 4 Knoll Bertoia Side Chairs Original Run-EXCELLENT shape. A few simple repairs
Rare. Rare, rare- 4 Bertoia side chairs with removable cushions. These 4 chars are a real find for a collector. The are black bottomed and white at the top which suggests they are original run. They are in EXCELLENT vintage condition. 3 of the four are completely functional and load bearing. The forth will need to be stabilized. A quick fix. Also as shown- there have been some modifications that were made by an amateur that can be also easily fixed by soldering. They have Taupe cushions that are in very good shape- just need a bit of seamstress love. Overall, I would ay these are all in AWESOME vintage shape. As mentioned- a bit of low-fi maintenance was performed but some good soldering will get these is ship shape form. Any questions- ask. They are really in amazing condition considering their age.
