This is a beautiful matching pair of signed Drexel Heritage upholstered lounge chairs. They have original yellow crushed velvel upholstery. They measure 28" wide, 25" deep, 41" high at the back and 15" high seats. They have nice slender backs, pull over headrest covers at the top and snap tie accents along the skirt. They are in excellent original condition and have a few holes along the edges of the backs. No other rips or damage and were from an original owner who had a smoke and pet free home. Hollywood Regency Style Barrel Back Tufted Arm Chair in a Crushed Yellow Velvet circa the 1960's. The chair has a beautiful fan barrel back with a single line of studs; 7 button tufts in total. The chair has a removable cushion upholstered on both sides in the rich yellow crushed velvet. The wood seat frame continues around the whole bottom of the chair. Vintage Tufted Maple Club Armchair Regency Mid Century
For sale is a wonderfully preserved regency style tufted-back Maple(or Oak) Armchair. This one is precious. Very sturdy. Efficient 9-coil suspension design in the seat cushion. Nary a creak or groan when sat upon( and I'm a big dude) As strong as the day it was made. Not 100% certain of the date of manufacturer. The tag under the cushion shows an Upholstery date of June 25th 1963. If this is the original upholstery than the chair is 1/2 a century old. If it has been re-upholstered than the date of manufacture is un-certain. It was upholstered at Golz Upholstery. On Holt Avenue in Pomona, Ca about 5 miles from the chair's current location( Golz is no longer in business) It came from a home locally here in southern California. Where it belonged to the original and same single owner, enjoying the arid and even climate that tends to be ... morekinder to furniture than other climates across the country. At any rate and even if the chair is just 50 years old. It is in fantastic condition. In photo#1, it sits un-polished. As such, some of the subtle nicks and abrasions are visible. With a quick polish( photo with construction helmet) The surface abrasions( mostly on the legs) become mush less prominent. Should something more than a polish be desired. All surface issues are an easy fix in the hands of a competent restorer, or even someone less formally trained( like myself. LOL) The carving on the back is wonderful. The soft and comfortable tufting extends through the back of the chair. It is plush on both sides. There are two small marks on the seat cushion. I have not tried to clean them. That will be left up to the new owner. They are not substantial in size( see photos) The ribbon piping is strong and aesthetically pleasing. The color is perfect(for me) I certainly hope the new owner doesn't feel the need to change a thing. Hollywood Regency Vintage Cane Club Barrel Back Chair Yellow
This is a vintage caned barrel back chair. Designed in the Hollywood regency style, and probably dates from the 1960's. The cane is in good condition. And has a patina due to the finish wearing thin around some areas. Also, one section where a few strands are cracked, but all the caning is in place so it isn't very visible. The seat has a few spots on it, but these can be cleaned up. See pics) Also, chair legs have some scuffs, and one leg has a chip by the foot(see pics) Measures 26" deep. 24" wide, 27" tall, an the seat is 18" high. No shipping on this chair.
