The previous owner reinforced the chair with three, unseen underside screws for added stability. These Selig chairs' parts were designed to slide and snap into place and shouldn't require the extra screws, however. Up to the winning bidder whether or not to use them. CONDITION Overall excellent condition with very light finish wear. There are a couple scuffs to legs and the underside front support cross bar has some nicks to finish which are unseen in place(see photos) This would have originally had pirelli or fagas rubber straps with metal clips for the seat suspension. Presumably. These dried out with age and someone tacked in rubber strap suspension without clips. There is some splitting to the seat frame where the straps were tacked in(see photos) Replacement fagas straps are available online if one wanted to restore, though the current straps are functioning just fine. Up for auction.vintage reproduction of the famed Eames 670 Lounge Chair& ottoman from Herman Miller. This copy is from HNC circa 1984. It is a decent copy somewhere between the real thing and the Plycraft version in terms of quality. The rubber grommets on the back were a nice authentic touch while the 4 leg base not so much. Bottom line is: if you are like me and can't afford the Herman Miller version. This chair is probably a good second choice. The leather is in good shape with a little fade on arms. The cord edging is wearing the most in terms of fabric. Walnut plywood is fine. It is a comfortable chair. For sale is a mid century W.H. Gunlocke lounge chair that is made of Walnut with a cushioned seat. Label says cushion is 85% latex foam rubber. 10% synthetic foam and 5% cotton felt. Cover model is SM-919 and chair model is 1977USBR. Chair measurements 31" back height. 25 1/4" arm height, 19" seat height, 17 1/2" minimum width between arms, 18" seat from back to front edge. Chair comes from a trendy neighborhood in Minneapolis and is all original. I would say the condition is good. It looks nice from a distance, but if you inspect it up close it will need some polishing. The vinyl on the seat and backing is actually not that bad considering its decades old. There is a 1" surface split towards the front but on inspection it is not an actual tear, just the top layer of the vinyl is splitting. If you want to keep ... moreit original, it is still in pretty good shape. The side lateral support on the left has a 1/2" long by 1/8" chip out of it, but does not effect the integrity of the chair by any means. Other than this issue, I do not see any other real damage to it. I would highly recommend either refinishing or cleaning up the wood, there is nicks to it and the finish is becoming worn. There is a small spot on one seat that looks like it is a bit lighter in color than the rest of the upholstry, and one chair has a Darker discolores area on the seat, but it can't be seen as it sits on the bottom of the seat cushion. The wood is solid walnut. In excellent condition! The chairs look very similar to some adrian pearsall designs for craft and associates. These are classic Eames era pieces. RARE Pair Florence Knoll Slipper Lounge Chairs Mid Century Modern Walnut Legs
Fantastic Pair of Florence Knoll Slipper Chairs c.1960's The listed price is for 2 chairs. Both chairs are in great condition. The fabric on one chair at front corner has some very light soiling(I did some spot cleaning but have not had them professionally cleaned- see photo) Some scratches on legs(mainly on sides- see photos) I was told by the original owner that they were reupholstered in the eighties. The foam in the cushions is still firm yet soft and comfortable. Being persnickety. I would mention that the front corners of the chairs are not as stiff as they could be- if you sit on the corner edge of a chair or press it down you'll see a little wrinkling(see photo) I also included a closeup of a back corner where the welting may have rubbed up against something and isn't as neat and tidy as the other edges. The wool around ... morethat spot is slightly fuzzy, too. This slight defect I also mention for the great perfectionist. In my opinion. The upholstery is in excellent condition for its age. It appears to be wool and is a wonderful neutral. I do not know if it is Knoll fabric. Another slight mentionable is that the back of one of the chairs has a slight wiggle if you push it back and forth. There was probably a quarter inch of movement that I only even bring up against the potential qualm of a fussy customer. In moving. My husband noticed it. It does not in any way affect the use of the chair and is not noticeable with typical use. This is a vintage danish modern walnut lounge chair designed by folke ohlsson for DUX. It still has the original paper label. And a stamp that says"made in Denmark" Condition is good. Structurally it's solid, and it has new foam, new upholstery, and new webbing to provide cushion support. The finish has worn thin in some places, and it looks like it was refinished at some point in the past. No repaired breaks though, and it's very comfortable. Hard to find with both the ottoman and the neck pillow! I believe the frame is walnut. Has a beautiful vintage patina. And structurally completely solid.
