Herman Miller Eames fiberglass chair's lot of 4 in orange. These chair's were used and salvaged from a business. These chair's include mounts but no hardware. These chair do have a small hole in the seat to allow for drainage but were used indoors. These chair's look to be in good condition. There are some scratches present on the chair's along with a few small stains and minor defects but for the most part these chair are in good shape. Please see pictures. The original paper label is partly present. Only two chairs have other noticeable differences. One has a small piece missing from one shock mount and the other has a stain on the back of the seat. Please understand that due to the size of this item world wide shipping will be costly and may differ from the calculated amount in the listing. TWO Vintage Herman Miller Eames Fiberglass Shell Chairs - GREY
TWO Vintage Herman Miller Eames Fiberglass Shell Chairs- GREY Up for auction is two Vintage Herman Miller Side Shell Chairs- Grey in Color; IN FAIR CONDITION These chairs were from an estate. They are scratched. Faded/water marks? have scratches, scuffs and a couple peel marks? They appear to have had sat outside for a period of time but not sure how long. And the edges are worn and has one ding mark on the back side edge(see picture) it doesn't go all the way through the edge it is only one sided. One chair has some spots on the back and bottom of the chair. There are four shock mounts on each chair, but only three screws/bolts per chair so one chair is missing one bolt; the screw/bolts are somewhat rusty as well. One chairs mounts are also missing part of the rubber/glue that holds the mount on if you zoom in on the pictures you can ... moresee it. Please review pictures as they are a part of this description and so you can see more of the condition in your own detail. I haven't seen any cracks or chips, just wear along the edges and scratches on the chairs. There are no labels on the bottoms of these chairs only the embossed markings. I have combined those markings into one picture. The marking with the circled star-like is on the bottom of the one with the spots on it, the one with the circled"S" is on the bottom of the other one. These are good sturdy chairs and with a little TLC can become great chairs once again. Nice fibers and fair color- there is fading(water marks) on the seats of both chairs, just need to be cleaned up a bit and a little reconditioning is all. THIS AUCTION DOES NOT INCLUDE THE BASES! The decals on these chairs from Herman Miller states they were made in Zeeland. MI USA on November 20, 1972. This fiberglass shell, blue naugahyde wrapped chair is in fantastic condition. There is a pinhole in the seat(pictured) but little else that does not establish this chair as one of the very best on eBay. The navy blue naugahyde is handsome and the stitching is tight. This is not the teal blue that you are seeing in many of the other listings. The underside grommets and other hardware are in excellent condition as well. There is some minor discoloration in the black fiberglass shell but who cares as you can't see it while you are seated. Black legs have some minor scuffing to the paint. A couple of minor scuffs in the black trim that supports the leather seat. There are two plastic washer ... morefeet on the back legs and none of the front. This chair was purchased at a small boutique in LeClaire. Iowa during our trip to Antiques Archaeology last month. This is a vintage original Herman Miller fiberglass Shell chair in the beautiful classic orange color. The chair is in excellent original condition. The base on it is the stacking style which is great for storage and locks side by side to other stacking Shells. It has been bolted through. Which is stronger, to attach the top to the base, instead of the original adhering. The feet all appear to be the original white plastic ones and intact. The top surface is in good condition with a few dings and marks but nothing too serious. The back and bottom have a little bit of wear but again nothing too serious. These are all the flaws that I can notice at the moment if you are questioning anything ask and I will look into it. The pictures show the condition of the chairs well. Vintage Herman Miller Eames Upholstered Fiberglass Shell Chair Swivel Casters
For auction is one vintage Herman Miller Eames shell arm chair upholstered in its original orange. Wool-blend fabric. The fiberglass shell is white and has the swivel base with casters(fixed height, non-tilt) It is in excellent condition overall, but the fabric has"puckered" along the lower seam where it's separated from the foam padding. There are some very, very faint small stains on the seat(which I have provided a close-up of) though as you can see from the photos, they are hardly noticeable overall. There are also some slight indentations in the armrests(pictured) I have had the upholstery professionally cleaned, so it most likely will not clean up any better than what you see here. The shell, which has been thoroughly cleaned and buffed, is in perfect shape. The hard black rubber edge is also in great shape and has only ... morelight scratches near the arms. The aluminum base has been polished, but has a few spots of dark oxidation common to these bases(the most obvious of which I've photographed) The casters have all been cleaned& re-lubricated and roll smoothly. CONDITION For some reason the right rear rubber mount has come off on all six chairs. We still have the mounts as well as all the original screws. They are in very good condition and should re-attach easily with a good epoxy/glue but I will leave that to the buyer. No hardening or cracks to rubber. All still soft. Fiberglass shows some light scuffs but in general excellent condition. They still retain a nice glossy sheen. No cracks. Some light wear along the upper back edge from being against a wall. This is minor and not at all distracting. Bottoms could use a cleaning. Overall a very good looking set of chairs. Buyer will be pleased. See detailed photos of each chair. No bases. Seats only. Up for sale is an original fiberglass shell chair in a deep. Beautifully rich navy blue color designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. It is in great. Vintage condition, but it is used, so there are the usual small scratches. The underside grommets and other hardware are in good condition as well. The shell is structurally solid with NO cracks in the fiberglass. But there are four holes drilled in a straight line on the bottom of the chair, it was an upholstered chair and the vinyl was removed, so it may be appropriate to add a throw blanket or pillow on to the chair, but that's just my opinion. The chair has a Star base with a narrow mount configuration which you could swap out for narrow mount bases Rocker. Dowel, Eiffel, etc. The chair is embossed on the bottom with the Herman Miller logo and also embossed with a smaller ... morecircle S logo above the Herman Miller logo, this signifies that it was manufactured by Summit Plastics in Kalamazoo. Vintage Herman Miller Charles Eames Fiberglass Arm Chair Shell Armchair X Base Vintage Herman Miller Eames fiberglass armchair with iron rod X base. Chair is in very good vintage condition. Showing some wear and marks here and there, but no cracks or damage. Color is an off-white to pale yellow. Label is missing(was this way when I got it) The base is held on with a couple of non-original bolts on front, and the feet are newer plastic replacements, but otherwise it appears to be all original. The legs are solid iron rods. Chair is being offered with free local pickup on the northwest side of Chicago. I have tried to remove the legs for shipping. But I cannot get the screws to come out. If you require shipping, please contact a shipping company such as Plycon or Craters and Freighters; I will work with the shipper of your choice.

Still has a nice shine overall- some surface marks, scratches, and wear, crazing along the edges, one crack(see 6th photo) and a few smaller cracks/chips along the underside edges. For auction is a set of three matching armless Herman Miller Eames shell chair seats in black fiberglass with pale tan upholstery. There are no bases. The fiberglass shells are in excellent condition and exhibit only minor wear. And the black rubber edges on all three are in excellent shape as well. The upholstery has puckered away from the foam in the center and needs to be cleaned, though these seats might be better off stripped and refinished as bare fiberglass. One of the bolt mounts underneath one of the chairs has come loose and is trapped inside somewhere between the foam cushion and the fiberglass(I could feel it in there when I was pressing around on the foam looking for it) There are no screws available. For auction is one original vintage Herman Miller Eames fiberglass shell chair with the non-swivel pedestal base. It features a grayish-beige fiberglass shell with beige vinyl/naugahyde upholstery. It is in excellent overall condition The foam and vinyl are in great shape. No split seams. But there is one tiny nick in the vinyl at the edge of the seat(pictured) There are also some pale stains on one side of the seat, which barely register in the photographs. The aluminum base has been cleaned and polished but still has a few dark oxidation spots that are common to these vintage bases. The entire chair has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed. There are also some fine, whitish scratches on the back and a quarter-sized scuff toward the bottom left, but nothing more than what is obvious in the photos. Listed for sale is an all extremely rare and all original Eames rope edge fiberglass arm shell in lemon yellow with an original X base. Enlarged shock mounts, original screws, and original washers. The chair was manufactured by Zenith for Herman Miller and is one from the earliest generation of Eames armshells. The rope edge was discontinued after a short period of production due to the added expense of an additional step in the manufacturing process. The shell has not been cleaned heavily and thus could be made to look flawless if so desired. The current state is absolutely original. It has also never been worked on or coated with anything. The shell is absolutely original, as is the base. Please also refer to many similar items in my store. Fiberglass Excellent condition with nice gloss to the shell. Nice example of an early Eames Zenith Rope Edge shell chair. Displays very well. Solid. Stable and very usable. Appears to have had a refinish at some point. You can see the original graining and color on the back and underside. Seating surface refinished in a clear satin/flat sheen and possibly tinted to enhance the natural color. This is how I found it and have not attempted any further restoration. Original large diameter Zenith shockmounts. Condition: Overall Very Good condition with aging and wear as expected for a chair of this age. Seat has drilled hole. Minimal edge wear. No cracks or structural damage. Vintage Original Herman Miller Eames Fiberglass Shell Pedestal Chair Mustard
Used. Measures about 24" across x 30" high. Shell and upholstery are all still attached. I did not see rips or cracks in either. But I could have missed something. Seams on upholstery looks good. Main concern is that the upholstery does not sit down in the chair. I have no clue what caused this or if it can be fixed- I am not an upholstery expert. There are scratches. Stains, gouges, missing color, and so forth. This chair was well loved. On the front of seat there are two round circle were material is worn off- see pic 2. There are other places like this also, but I only captured this one. The black trim has the same use also as the aforementioned with scratches. Worn black gone, etc. The last 3 pictures give a good idea of what I was referencing with upholstery not sitting down in the chair- it is raised/crinkley. 3 Orignal Vtg Herman Miller Eames Upholstered Fiberglass Shell Chair Seats Only
For auction are three original vintage Herman Miller armless shell chair seats without bases. The shells are black fiberglass with beige fabric. The fabric is stained. Dirty, and coming away from the foam, so they'd need to be reupholstered. The shells and rubber trim on all seats are in good condition. One of the threaded inserts to attach the base has popped out on one of them. But it is still inside the chair between the foam and the shell. These are later models where the metal threaded inserts are attached directly to the shell instead of embedded in the larger hard rubber shock mounts. Seating area is 18" side to side and 17" from front to back. Made by Sturgis Company in Michigan. Tag dates to the late 1950s. Each chair has light issues. One has a sticker on the seat back and has a loose tack weld underneath. Other has cracks on both sides of seating area. Last has one small crack where seat area meets seat back. Eames Fiberglass Herman Miller Shell Chair - Rare Contract Color Light Blue (LB)
Original Eames fiberglass shell side chair. Manufactured by Herman Miller in the mid 1960s at Summit Plastics in Michigan. This excellent chair is in the rare contract color of light blue(coded LB in the old herman miller catalogues) The shell is in excellent condition and the fiberglass threads are wonderfully visible. The chair shows some wear along the edges. But there are no visible cracks on the chair. The chair could use a cleaning and sanding to remove some old dirt(which is visible throughout the chair) as seen in the photos. Will sell with or without the reproduction metal and walnut rocker. The shock mounts(which are the narrow fitting version are also in very good condition and hold the base nicely) The walnut dowel base is a reproduction purchased from Modern Conscious.
