The company was one of Denmark's foremost manufacturers for great Danish designers. The name was later changed to France& Son when Julian France joined his father's company. Poul Cadovius bought the company in 1964. And it became known as CADO. Upholstery is a rough texture oatmeal color and could be original(cushions have internal springs, are wrapped in muslin and white poly) John Stuart metal disc tag on interior back of chair and France Daverkosen in gold lettering on inside rail. Chair arms, back and front rail are connected by metal recessed hardware. Seat section with wire drops into frame. Chair comes apart for shipping. DIMENSIONS: 30" tall x 24.5" wide. Clifford Pascoe Paul McCobb Mid Century Iron Legged Dining Chairs
Here is a set of 4 mid century modern Clifford Pascoe chairs. Designed for Modernmasters Inc. in 1951& was included in the 1952 Museum of Modern Art Good Design show. These chairs have no rust and solid welds. The chairs were painted when I got them. One of the chairs has been repaired. Although there is a wiggle in the repaired seat back(the close up shown) this wiggle has not increased or changed in 5 years. The chairs are easy to upholster. I covered these with a canvas Bastik fabric(hammock fabric from France) and then a layer of plastic. I know. Yuck plastic, but I have kids. It worked. On Feb-21-13 at 10:02:20 PST. They may have been reupholstered at some point. The metal is a bit worn and discolored with a little rust, but we have not made any restoration or cleaning attempts. The metal on the table is similarly worn. The formica top is grey"cracked ice" but the expansion leaf has a slight carmel color. We do not know the orginal color between the two. Description Offered for sale are a Set of Eight(8) S. Bent& Bros. Inc. Vintage Maple Captains Chairs. These chairs include 7 side chairs and 1 larger armchair. The chairs were manufactured in Gardner. Massachussettes and I believe them to be circa 1970's. The side chairs measure 30" high x 21" wide x 19" deep overall and the seat measures 17" wide x 15" deep. The larger single captain's armchair measures 32" high x 23.5" wide at the arms x 23" deep. The seating area measures 19" wide x 16.5" deep. Please note that the larger captain's armchair has turned legs while the side chairs legs are straight. These chairs were part of an estate that included a lovely 48" round table with two 9" leaves. This auction is for the chairs only. Beautiful Oak Framed Thick Leather Sling Chair. There is no makers mark on this super comfortable high quality chair but as you can see it is styled after the Borge Mogensen Spanish Chair. The Leather Slings are attached to the chair with wooden dowels inserted through the leather. The chair frame itself is in excellent condition with only one small chip on the wood above the seatback. The leather has been cleaned and conditioned showing some slight wear signs. The overall condition is very good and more importantly this is a very comfortable chair to sit in. Vintage Diax Tensor 7100 Desk Table Wall Task Light Lamp-Eames Era Mid-Century
This is a very cool articulating Diax lamp made by Tensor that can either be wall-mounted or just set on a desk. It's a folding/adjustable small lamp and is therefore very portable. It's made of gold-tone metal and cream plastic. It definitely has an Eames Era/Mid-Century look to it. The lamp is in excellent vintage condition with no imperfections to even make note of. There are only very minor signs of wear here and there. It entire lamp measures about 19" tall when the arm is extended all the way out. The length of the cone measures just over 3" and its diameter about 2 1/4" at its opening. The base measures about 4 1/2" x 2 1/4" The lamp folds up to about 10" x 3" Please note this lamp works great and it does come with a functioning bulb! Vintage Robin's Egg Blue Stroll A Chair Solid Rubber Tires Chrome Fenders This is a really great vintage Robin's egg blue Rex Stroll-A-Chair from the 1950s. This has Robin's egg blue vinyl and this color was very popular in the 50's just like Mint green in the 60's and Avocado green and rust brown in the 70's. This is an amazing stroller/chair in that the chair will recline. The foot pad will raise and this can be removed from the frame and has a slight rock to it to help the little ones sleep. There is a very simple but secure brake system on this which can be seen in pictures 7& 8 with the solid rubber tires it works really good. The arm rests and side pads for the chair are easily removable for cleaning. This collectible. Vintage piece still looks great but there are some nics in the vinyl in a couple of spots ... moremainly the top of the seat head reast area, there is also a mark on the side panel in picture 16 that doesn't seem to dissapear. There is also some rust on the wheels and frame in places but overall this has held up pretty good considering this is 50 to 60 years old. The last patent number dates to 1941 but I believe because of the color and other things that it is 1950's but it could be earlier. This fiberglass shell, blue naugahyde wrapped chair is in fantastic condition. There is a pinhole in the seat(pictured) but little else that does not establish this chair as one of the very best on eBay. The navy blue naugahyde is handsome and the stitching is tight. This is not the teal blue that you are seeing in many of the other listings. The underside grommets and other hardware are in excellent condition as well. There is some minor discoloration in the black fiberglass shell but who cares as you can't see it while you are seated. Black legs have some minor scuffing to the paint. A couple of minor scuffs in the black trim that supports the leather seat. There are two plastic washer ... morefeet on the back legs and none of the front. This chair was purchased at a small boutique in LeClaire. Iowa during our trip to Antiques Archaeology last month.
