Mid-Century Thonet, Milo Baughman-Style Tubular Steel Rocking Chair Faux Leather
Unique ~ One of A Kind! Mid-Century Modernist Ergonomically-Shaped Rocking Chair Black Tubular Steel Thonet-Style Rockers and Milo Baughman-Style Leather Arm Rests. Faux-Leather Upholstery I don't know who manufactured this chair. I could not find a label. But this likely a one-of-a-kind Troy Sunshade chair, due to the type of supports and structure. The curved-metal style of the rockers resembles Thonet. Perfectly balanced and comfortable. The ergonomic shape of the upholstery indicates that it is from the Modernist era. When Marcel Breuer, Mart Stam, and Ulrich Bohme were creating their own individual styles. The leather arm rests are also unique. Too. They resemble those featured on several pieces that Milo Baughman designed for Thayer Coggin of North Carolina. Baughman created modernist pieces for Thayer Coggin from 1953 until his ... moredeath in 2003. This chair is definitely a rare. Hand-crafted rocking chair. It may even have been a prototype of sorts. If you look closely, you can see the welds throughout the framing and in the curves on the rockers. The original leather arm straps(as shown in the last picture) were cracked and broken. So I took the chair to a harness maker and had him install new leather straps with brass studs. The upholstery is made up of three sections- two pieces for the backrest. And one for the seat. The backrest cushions are supported by a painted black steel frame. I removed the screws in order to search for a name and cleaned each seat section. The brown faux leather appears to be in pretty nice condition. I have re-assembled the seat sections after cleanup. Three buttons will have to be replaced. This chair is so easy to disassemble that it would be a breeze to reupholster it. The black metal tube rockers have seen some use over the years. The black paint is worn off the bottoms. Vintage MID CENTURY DANISH Modern DUX Selig LOUNGE CHAIR Eames 1960s
Up for auction is a vintage Danish modern Selig chair. It is in good used condition. It is very sturdy and has new straps(seen in photo#6& 7) It could use a new cushion. It comes from a smoke free home and has no foul odors. But does have some staining/spots and a small hole on the bottom(seen in photo#11) It still has its original upholstery, which is an off white woven fabric, and its original rattan type back. I took close ups of the 2 sides where you can see some glue residue(photo#4& 5) The frame has some scratches and nicks which I have taken photos of. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. Midcentury Modern Russel Wright for Conant Chair
Hello. And thanks for looking! As seen in the pictures. This is a mid-20th century chair, designed by Russel Wright. These were hugely popular in their day, because Wright set about to bring affordable style to the middle classes, and he did so with legendary success. This chair is in very good shape. It is an antique. And as such does show some minor signs of wear where you would expect to see it, namely on the legs and a little on the seat, but this could certainly by put in use tomorrow with no work required at all. It's solid, too- no loose legs or spindles. Before falling in love with it. Please note- this is pick up only! THAT 70's SHOW Vintage Patio Outdoor Lawn Deck Furniture Metal Glider & Chairs

The glider is a long one measuring 70" long x 19" deep. The tall chair measures 42" tall. The shorter chair measures 27" tall without the cushion and 31" tall with the cushion. The vinyl cushions are included and have the normal wear and tear you would expect with a set this old. They have some stains and a few tears. I have not tried cleaning them. This is a heavy set but not too heavy. They will not blow away in the wind. The metal will need a new coat of paint as each piece does have some amount of wear and a little rust.
