Warranted(with backwards N-s) Both are in decent condition with the expected wear. One has a larger chip out of the side(see photo) Could easily be disguised with some paint or a marker. The one without the chip has some(very) old scotch tape on the back. I didn't try removing it as these are sold as found. The rush seating has some minor wear but is in good sturdy condition. This sturdy pair of twin. Gently used vintage black and gold stenciled chairs still have their original 1.5" by 3.5" heavy paper labels stapled to the underside of their seats stating, Manufactured by Boling Chair Company, Siler City, NC, Pattern 264, Color Black A. The High Point Bending and Chair Company became the Boling Chair Company in 1956 and the chairs have been in our donor's family for'many years' So these beautiful chairs probably date from the early 1960s. The Boling Company is renowned for its quality workmanship. As noted in the Condition remarks there is some wear in the gold stenciling in places. And the chairs have accumulated some minor nicks and scrapes over the years. But overall, these two chairs are in remarkably good condition. They are surprisingly heavy at just under 10 lbs each; they feel solid ... moreand the rush seats are in amazingly good condition on both top and bottom. For the most part the stenciled designs are delightfully clear. The chairs stand 33 1/2 inches tall, and the seat is 17 W x 15 D by 18 H. The stenciling is very much in the same style as Hitchcock chairs produced in the same era.
