Size: Back Height 28 1/4" Seat Height 16" Depth to the Wall ... more32" Width at widest 32" Condition: Perfect refinished condition. BETTER THAN NEW. I had these chairs professionally stripped. Sanded, oiled and original Perrili seat webbing has been replaced. Structurally perfect, original. The chair on the right has a wood flaw on the arm(see picture) which does not diminish the chair at all in my opinion. Description: Set of two(2) Vintage Mid Century Modern Danish style lounge chairs. These chairs are extraordinary. The original finish on these chairs was a toned lacquer(lacquer with a colored toner for a consistent appearance) a little dull. But uniform. I opted to strip the finish off of the chairs and finish with a dark Danish oil which turned out magnificent. The wood has an incredible grain. The structural components are sassafras and the main visual components are Elm or Ash. The chairs are gorgeous. Please note: SANS CUSHIONS! The set being auctioned has no cushions! The set with the cushions shown in the pictures below is an identical set I sold a couple months ago. That set was not refinished and you can see the difference between the two and what the chairs look like with cushions. Full disclosure- quality cushions are going to run you some cash maybe $500-$800. But they can be whatever you want and the end result will be absolute perfection. Five Burke Chair Propeller Base Swivel Chairs, America, post-1950 model #116
These five chairs are based on the Eames Shell Chair. Also referred to as Saarinen Style. These five chairs have a swivel base. The foam seat cushion has been replaced and is ready for the fabric cover to be designed and installed. There is a sixth chair and base which I will give to the buyer. I do this because the cast aluminum swivel mechanism broke and was apparently discarded. If you are able to find a new swivel mechanism. Then you have a sixth chair for nothing. Otherwise, you might be able to attach the base to the Fiberglas shell without being able to swivel it. The chairs are available for pick-up in the Chicago area. We can negotiate the cost of shipping the chairs elsewhere.

Vintage Polypropylene Web repair kits for aluminum chairs lot, Post 1950
Lot of three packages of Polypropylene webbing for repair of aluminum or wooden outdoor funiture. Two kits are in original unopened packages and price tags from"MAXWAY" are affixed. Each contain webbing material 39 ft X 2 1/4 In. lengths. The webbing is Tan with white lines in one and green with white lines in the other. One package is opened but the length measures 39ft. The color of the material is green with white lines. Two additional lengths of the same material are included. One length is pure white and measures 17 feet. The other is green with white lines and measures and measures 7ft. Manufacted in USA by Wellington Synthethetic fibres New jersey.
