I believe it is solid maple with an Old Pine ... morefinish and probably dates to the 1950s/60s. It has bamboo style turned legs with a barrel shaped midsection and an overall colonial style. Nichols & Stone began making furniture in the 1850s and finally closed up shop around 2008. They have since been reincarnated under the Stickley name and are available again in some limited forms. The chair is a bit on the small size so ideal for a small adult or big kid or a side chair for presentation in any room. Offered for sale is a Stunning. Gorgeous Ethan Allen Vintage Heirloom Maple Pedestal Extension Table and Six Windsor Bowback Chairs. This dining set includes the table with two leaves. Four side chairs and two arm chairs circa 1990. The table is item#10-6094P and measures 48" in diameter x 29" high. The table opens to 78" with the two leaves inserted. The top is an extra heavy decorative laminate top and is in fantastic, like new condition with only a few small dings/marks. The side chairs are item#10-6211 and measure 19" wide x 39" high x 21" deep. The arm chairs are item#10-6211A and measure 24" wide x 40" high x 21" deep. The chairs are in mint to near mint condition. Some of them look like they have never been sat in while others have only a few small scratches. The finish is very shiny and ... morelooks brand new on the backs, feet, seats and arms. This is one of the nicest table and chair sets I have ever come across. The set was loving cared for which is remarkable considering it is 23 years old. All of the pieces can be found on pages 161 and 163 of the 86th edition of the Ethan Allen Treasury of Beautiful Home Interiors catalog. The Ethan Allen name appears on the bottom of the table and chairs as well as the item numbers and date. This table has wheels on the bottom(see pic#10) and is easy to open. Close, and maneuver.
