Along the same lines as Hans Wegner's"Cigar" chair design for Getema, these beauties were also made in Denmark in the 1950s and just as well made. Unlike so many of chairs in this style that appear on Ebay. These are not a combo of woods or a generic hardwood stained to look like teak. They are each 100% SOLID TEAK throughout(sides, seat, arms and back) with removable upholstered seat and back cushions. Great looking from any viewing angle and they provide excellent comfort. Cushions are the original heavy inner spring design, so no fear of them loosing their shape verses just foam. Upholstery is a wonderful neutral oatmeal color woven wool, so will match in any color scheme decor. Seat backs will remove so each chair can ship in its own box via UPS oversize. measurements Overall each chair measures 31.5" high by 25" wide by 29" deep. The seat cushion is 20" wide by 4" high by 21" deep. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat is about 17" high at the front tapering back to 14.5" at the rear. condition Excellent with just light age and a handful of very minor soil marks on the cushions. They are hard to see and in no way warrant needing to be redone as the fabric is in overall excellent shape. Straps looks to have been replaced at some point. GioPonti,Edward Wormley, Finn Juhl, Milo Baughman, Herman Miller. Etc. These stunning pieces are very finely hand made. They were meticulous with every detail. There are no screws in the construction of the frame, nor visible to the eye. The only screws are to hold the cushions in each chair, as well as additional seat corner supports. They were recently reupholstered in a PolyBlend Material. and over the original fabric if you decide you prefer it more. These chairs are available for pickup in Dayton, Oh 45409. Mid Century Danish Modern Pair Arm Lounge Chairs Blue Turquoise Retro 1960's
This is a vintage mid century modern pair of chairs. It is a blue turquoise tweed. Great shape. They have wood arms and a wood piece along the top back of the chair and wood pin legs. They measure 34" tall 30" wide and 31" from back to front. It is 16" from floor to seat. Chairs are clean but I always suggest doing a steam clean. The wood is a very rich color.
