These dining/fireside/accent chairs are French in design. They have beautiful. Original, painted wood frames with gilded accents. The seats are tufted fabric. The backs of the chairs are a combination of cane and fabric. The sateen fabric is original and is a pale mint color. There is a woven pattern of cabbage roses or chrysanthemums with some gold color in the leaves and tips of the flowers as well as a darker green. The chairs feature the original webbing. They are in very good vintage condition with some slight cosmetic aging/evidence of use to the fabric which a gentle cleaning should resolve. There are no rips, tears, etc. The cushion foam is a little stiff in areas from age. The cane is good ... morewith no rips or tears. The frames are in very good condition with only a few minor nicks. This is a very elegant and beautiful pair. They are not marked. The chairs measure 43.25" tall. 23.25" wide, and 22" front to back. These dining/ accent chairs feature hand-carved details on back and on cabriole legs and shaped splats. Vintage fabric on the reupholstered seats. The chairs are solid and firm with no wobbling. They consist of 4 side chairs(no arms) and 2 Captains Chairs(with arms) We have the matching buffet. Server, and table being sold separately. Sleek contemporary lines enable this set to mix with any of today's decor. A slightly leaning backrest provides ideal comfort and style to these chairs. Lyre style figure 8 backs and striking French front legs support the seats while adding a little pizazz to this set. The side chairs measure 35 1/8" tall. 17 1/2" from the seat to the floor; 21 1/2" wide, and 20 3/4" deep. The seat is 19 1/2" wide and 18" deep.
