This is a great set of Thonet Bentwood chairs. They are in good condition for there age. The one chair has some writing on the arm as pictured and all of the chairs show wear. This wishbone or ribbed style is very rare. Three of the four chairs are tagged the fourth is missing. The chairs are 30 and 1/2 inches tall- the seats are 17 inches wide-19 inches from front to back- and the arms are just under 23 inches at the chairs widest. Please ask any questions before bidding. Vintage Thonet Gull Wing Side Arm Chair Mid-Century Modern Molded Plywood
Great look and it is sound and solid but has been painted. It looks like a red primer first then brown on top.It was done many years ago as there is wear to the paint. Also there is a 1/16" deep by 1" wide by 5" long piece of veneer missing from the furniture grade plywood that this is made of. It is at the base of the one arm and it is common to have a problem there as the veneer wants to buckle when they steam form them in to place. It usually blisters and cracks there. If you are going to strip it and take it back to the original blonde finish you'll need to replace it with the natural plywood veneer strip. If you are going to repaint it you just paint over top. Fill it with wood filler or just patch it in with any veneer strip you can find. It sets very comfortable. Back height is 32 1/2" seat height is 18 1/2" ... moreSeat depth is 17 3/4" 23 1/2" wide at the outer part of the arms, 20" wide at the inner part of the arms. Vintage. Mid-Century Modern, Bentwood Chair. There is no label or maker's mark but it looks like a Thonet bent plywood chair from the Eames Era of the 1950s. The finish is a medium, to medium-dark brown. 30 1/2" tall, 18" deep, 18 1/2" wide and weighs 16 pounds. Condition: Normal wear for this vintage. Two small nicks on the edge of the seat. Some small scuffs a round the edges. Wear to the finish on the back rest. Several scuffs around the base of the legs. Sturdy and comfortable. Overall, good to very good condition. Vintage Thonet Bent Wood Lounge Arm Chair Mid Century Modern #1
For auction is one of three identical Thonet bent wood armchairs from the late 1950s/early 1960s. It is in very good condition. The wood frame has the sort of wear one would expect from age; most noticeably on the rounded part of the armrests and in the scuffs and scratches on the legs(pictured) Many of these scratches and scuffs would disappear with a little steel wool and Howard's Restore-A-Finish. However. The beautiful, plum-colored vinyl is in great shape for the most part; it's still shiny and the stitching is perfect, though there are some nicks on the backrest and a light abrasion a few inches long on the front of the seat(pictured) It is also missing one of the upholstery tacks on the back, but that is easily replaced. Rare Formica Laminated Bentwood Chair Mid Century Modern Brown Saltman? Thonet?
This is a very unusual chair that is certainly circa 1950's and probably on the early end of that decade. But I can find very little information on. It is completely covered in Formica. The back, legs sides, everywhere but the cushion. It has elements of Brown and Saltman as well as Thonet but the cloth staple label does not indicate the manufacturer. It is in excellent condition with very little wear but there is cracking in the vinyl covering and it needs to be recovered. The seats come right off so its an easy job. It is extremely well made with bent plywood underframe that was meticulously covered in Formica. It measures 32.5" tall, 18.5" wide and 20.5" deep. I have two available for the same price. The legs and back bolt on with square nuts so it will be disassembled to save significantly on shipping. Thank you!

Rare Pair 1950's Bruno Weill for Thonet Bent-Ply Arm Chairs Mid Century Modern
This is a beautiful and rare matching pair of Thonet Ply-Bent chairs designed by Bruno Weill. They are in very good condition with moderate paint wear and some minor edge defects. There is a dark stain on the seat of one. There is some splitting in the seat but they are solid and strong. They could use repainting and the coat that is on it now would make a good base to paint over. They measures approx 21" wide. 21" deep and 32" high at the back. To save significantly on shipping the chairs will be disassembled if it can be done safely. The seats have some separation and will likely be in sections when they are removed from the legs. This model has faux leather on it with flea bites and minor tears including where the back meets the seat(from tension) While can be used in its present state this would look outstanding reupholstered.
