Along the same lines as Hans Wegner's"Cigar" chair design for Getema, these beauties were also made in Denmark in the 1950s and just as well made. Unlike so many of chairs in this style that appear on Ebay. These are not a combo of woods or a generic hardwood stained to look like teak. They are each 100% SOLID TEAK throughout(sides, seat, arms and back) with removable upholstered seat and back cushions. Great looking from any viewing angle and they provide excellent comfort. Cushions are the original heavy inner spring design, so no fear of them loosing their shape verses just foam. Upholstery is a wonderful neutral oatmeal color woven wool, so will match in any color scheme decor. Seat backs will remove so each chair can ship in its own box via UPS oversize. measurements Overall each chair measures 31.5" high by 25" wide by 29" deep. The seat cushion is 20" wide by 4" high by 21" deep. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat is about 17" high at the front tapering back to 14.5" at the rear. condition Excellent with just light age and a handful of very minor soil marks on the cushions. This auction is for one vintage Danish Modern style lounge chair. This chair is stamped"MADE IN YUGOSLAVIA" on the bottom. This auction is for the chair only. I do not have cushions for it. Cosmetically. The chair has scratches and some wear, but still looks really nice. There is one spot near the support cables where a chip of wood is missing(see picture) There is also one scratch at the top of the chair near the left corner(see picture) Both of these blemishes are covered when it has cushions. These are a terrific design that simply never go out of style. Along the same lines as Hans Wegner's GE270"Cigar" chair design for Getema, these beauties are so well made. Those familiar with Kold's, know the quality level they produced(way up there! Arne Hovmand Olsen was their principle designer during the time period, but we have not been able to confirm them being his design as of yet. They are each 100% SOLID TEAK throughout(even the seat support frame) with removable upholstered seat and back cushions and rubber support straps. Great looking from any viewing angle and they provide excellent comfort. Cushions were redone with new foam and fabric. Upholstery ... moreis a wonderful neutral grey. So will match in any color scheme decor. Both chairs hallmark stamped on the undersides. The seat backs will each detach(two hidden bolts) to make these shippable via UPS in two boxes. measurements Overall each chair measures 25 5/8" high wide by 25" deep by 29" high at the seat back. This high back lounge chair is designed and manufactured with the same eye for style, function, and minimalistic construction that other top danish designers such as Hans Olsen, Hans Wegner, and Arne Jacobsen are known for. This is a gorgeous circa 1950's teak lounge chair with dark finish and sculpted legs. Measures 26" wide. 30" deep, 31" high at the back and 13" high at the front of the seat. It is in excellent lightly used condition with no breaks or cracks. There is some scratches on one of the arms and some chipping at the end of one of the legs, see close up. The upholstered cushions are included but they have wear and pilling of the fabric on the zipper covers from use and could use re-upholstering. Pick up or I can help arrange courier delivery. This is a stylish danish modern lounge chair. With navy blue upholstery, and a teak frame. It's in excellent condition overall! I believe the upholstery and foam are new. As it is very soft and comfortable to sit in, and the frame too is in good condition. It has a slight patina to it, and is quite solid. One of the side bolts in the frame is not original, but the chair doesn't have any breaks, structural cracks, previously broken and repaired parts. Etc.
