First please check my other auctions as I will be listed some of the other wonderful items from this danish modern mid century estate. Some of the items I will not be putting on ebay(dyrlund dining table. Chairs, art) but feel free to email on it. This auction is for a Kofod Larsen Selig footstool or ottoman. I do have the matching lounge chair! This comes with original webbing and cushion. Chair has matching cushions. I will combine on shipping of these two items. Clean original finish with minor scuffs which is indicative of the age/era and general use. Solid and clean overall. Cushion is not"crunchy" Naugahyde in good condition. We had them cleaned and oiled professionally. They also sanded the rough edges from the tack holes from the upholstery underneath the seats. Working on the second chair now. Chips or cracks in the wood and the frame is very solid. The cane back and saber shaped arms make this unique. The frame is beachwood stained in a walnut finish. The webbing is original and very tight and does not sink. Both cushions/upholstery are original to chair. The upholstery was recently professionally dry cleaned to remove some water stains. For your consideration is a STUNNING Vintage c.1950's Solid Rosewood Lounge Chair. Designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen and produced in Israel under the Megiddo Collection! Not much is known about this line of furniture that was designed by the Danish modern legend, but it is clearly immaculately constructed and exquisitely designed. Being 100% original it certainly has one or two small flaws, but overall I think you'll be very pleasantly suprised when you see this chair in person! The only'major' thing to note is that one of the small brass rounds on the back bar is missing, aside from that it's just the obvious upholstery(which is the original fabric) and maybe a scuff or two on the wood, which can be easily cleaned up with some oil. Vintage Danish Modern Kofod Larsen Selig Lounge Chair and Stool Beautiful IB Kofod Larsen Reclining Lounge Chair and Stool for Selig. This chair has been completely restored. The frame was refinished to its original wood tones and has a rich lacquer finish. I was never a fan of the original back pillow that simple snapped to the back springs so while looking for ideas came across one done like this and thought it was much more modern and a much cleaner look(fortunately my upholsterer was able to make it happen) The seat and back are now a tight seat and have a very form fitting flow which really sets this design off! The fabric is Maharam Messenger Pattern. All the upholstery material are new and ready for many years of use. This chair was very well kept and gently used. It includes the matching ottoman and reclines to 3 positions for varying degrees of comfort. The frame is strong and sturdy with tight joints throughout. The upholstery is in very good original condition- it looks like it was reupholstered at some point(the headrest cushion does not have buttons to secure it to the snaps in the frame) and is ready for use. The strapping on the chair and ... moreottoman is also in good condition. The finish on the chair and ottoman is in very nice original condition with little wear from use. One of the Gray rubber band straps on the very bottom of the backrest is missing- it is not notable when you are sitting in the chair. And is mostly hidden by the crossbar on the back so it is not even very visible but should be mentioned. I think you can find replacements on bay but it is not even noticeable) This is extremely minor but I did notice on one of the joints(left armrest) the wood is a hair off(rock solid joint with no gap just not flush by an immeasurable amour) which is from production and is not notable at all(see picture 19) There is a scratch to the inside of the armrest(totally covered with the cushion in place) which is shown in picture 18. The chair retains its original Selig tag as pictured. This is among the most comfortable Danish lounge chairs we have found- it will be a great addition to any mid century interior. This is a really exceptional pair of mid century Danish lounge chairs. The solid Beech frames have been professionally refinished. Dyed, and stained a dark, rich Walnut tone. Really beautiful. New seat straps. These chairs knock down into four pieces each chair for easier and cheaper shipping. The foam on the seats is still good and the covers are intact, but the pair would probably be best served if new cushions were made. that's up to you! Really hard to go wrong with a set like this. They are slightly on the wide side, and sit very comfortably. These have been attributed to Kofod-Larsen. But I haven't seen any definitive proof of that. Further, they are virtually identical to the chair model 2315-C by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates. Though I am certain they are Danish, I cannot say for sure much beyond that. 1960's IB Kofod-Larsen for Selig Spear Armchair Offered for sale is a hard to find early IB Kofod-Larsen for Selig Spear lounge chair. The wood looks exotic perhaps rosewood or teak-not sure. Stamped on bottom: Made in Denmark" this mark was used by Selig before they started using the metal Selig button. The bottom cushion is original and is included with this sale- the back cushion is probably a replacement and we are providing it for free if you want it-please let us know after you purchase. The seat supports-vinyl stretchers are stretched from use over the years and one is broken ... moreclose to the edge(this can be clamped) but OK and support the cushion and your weight just fine. Seat cushion in very good condition. There is a crack in the wood on the back on one side that simply needs glue and clamp(see last photo below) there is also a repaired crack on the inside underside back that isn't visible as it is on the underside back, doesn't affect the stability of the chair and has been that way for the 25 years that we have owned this. This is a beautiful early Ib Kofod-Larsen"Penguin" dining chair in Walnut with original finish. It has a yellow vinyl seat cushion that might be original. It is in very good condition with minor wear to the finish and wood and two small cracks in the vinyl cushion cover. The legs have some paint wear on the ends and no plastic tips.
