This great pair of vintage industrial leather chairs would be ideal for a front hall or office. They were made by the Jasper Chair Company and they date from 1955. As you can see from the photo of the tag on one of the chairs' bottom. The seat is 19" high, the arm rest 26" and the chair back 36" The foot print of the chairs are about 22" square. The seat on one of the chairs is ripped and the fabric lining on the bottoms of the chairs are either damaged or gone. They are a modified Windsor style with interesting details. The chairs have arched backs with wood nail head detail. There is also a"front to back" wood peg detail on each side of the upper backs as well as large finials on each side. The chairs have turned wood frames with smooth. Curved back slats and smooth, curved arms. The chairs are in very good condition with some minor evidence of age. All original and in a condition ready to be put back in use. Made by Stakmore of Owego, Tioga County, New york model"8700 Patent Pending" printed on each bottom, all have the paper tags however almost all are under the legs. These 6 chairs have very LITTLE to pick on and are ready to be in use at that special table you have. They do show there wear from use but very little. The detailed pictures should show it all. The easiest and most desirable is for the buyer to pickup in Bay City, Michigan.
