Offered for Sale is this 1960's- 1970's Post- Modern Plastic and Vinyl Swivel Lounge Chair. In White Plastic and Black Vinyl, Professionally Restored. There are four illegible numbers that are stamped on the base of the seat; and, one of the removable cushions has a tag that lists"Decorion Fun Furnishings, 1690 South Green Street, Tupelo, Mississippi. There are no other identifying marks on either the chair or the cushions. Dimensions are: width of the seat cushion is 18" The width measuring from the outside of the arms is 35" The depth of the chair is 27" The height to the seat from the floor is 12" and the height to the top of the back from the floor is 34 1/2"The base unit is 21 3/4" in diameter. The seat cushion and the back cushion have a leather grain. Are removable, and have zippered backs. ... moreThey're original and without any cracks or tears. The arm cushions are attached to the chair, have more of a smooth surface, and are replacements, duplicates of the originals. The person that does my upholstery work did an excellent job at this duplication. The underseat metal chairs rails have been repainted the original white. The metal arms that support the chair rails have been repainted the original black. What is common on this type of furniture are stress cracks in the plastic bases, usually in the column that surrounds the steel and plastic swivel post. There were stress cracks in the base of this seat as well; the base was taken to a plastic welder, where the cracks were filled in, sanded smooth, and then additional plastic was added to the stress area internally that surrounds the swivel post- please see the pictures. There was also a crack at the edge of the base- this too was repaired- see the last photo. The repairs are not noticable unless you physically examine the base at close range; the gentleman that did the welding did an excellent job. There are no issues with the chair itself. Extremely rare and beautiful easy chair designed by Finn Juhl for France& Daverkosen of Denmark in 1954.Signed with a black medallion. Also called the Spade chair, because of the resemblance to the handle of a shovel.Model 133 Chair measures 29.5" wide. 27" deep, 33" tall. The arms are 23" from floor. Seats are 18" from the floor. is in good condition showing only mild age and wear from normal use, Has a crack at the back spade barrel of the armrest. And at the bottom of the lower back frame. See photo's. Cushions are included but not upholstered. For me to do this would be a waste as the buyer will most likely want his or her own taste to reflect in such a rare find. There is an upholstery on the foam.But it is not sewn all the way and not worth keeping. The foam I do believe is original.Quite thin as was ... morethe norm and original concept. A Pair: Small Antique/Vintage Child's Pre-School Chairs by American Seating Co.
A really cute little pair of Pre-School Kinder-chairs. They are in definite need of restoration. But should be saved as is. The back slats have the American Chair Company imprint in very legible condition. One of the chairs has worn paint on it which needs to be stripped. The other chair has a fair amount of de-lamination of the plywood on all 3 wood pieces. I have very effectively reclaimed this type of damage using fiberglass resin. It fills the void. For your consideration. A low back folding rocking chair. The chair has a wood frame and leather back and seat the silver tacks. The hinges and hardware appear to be brass which could use a good polishing. The chair is adjustable with three slots on the back legs. It measrues 20” in height with a 13” width) x 16” length) seat and 13” width) x 5” length) back. In the folded position it measures 26” in length and 6” in height. It is in excellent condition free of any nicks, chips, tears, etc. For accuracy I need to mention the wood could use a little polishing/oiling and just one of the bolts in the back needs to be replaced.
