This is a very nice set of six matching Queen Anne chairs in a medium to dark cherry finish. There are two arm chairs which measure at the widest points 20" wide x 18" deep x 40" tall and four side chairs which measure at the widest points 19" wide x 18" deep x 40" tall. They are covered in a basket weave textured off white/gold fabric with piping. The upholstery is in great condition except that one of the side chairs unfortunately has a stain(see the last photo) The wood is all in very good to excellent condition. Particularly for their age, with expected very minor surface abrasions. I purchased these in the early 1980s. I do not remember the brand and there is a sticker on the bottom which says AM Craftsman. This is a set of 6 antique Queen Anne walnut dining room chairs. C1920s. Manufacturer unknown. These were my grandmothers and then my moms and now mine. The chairs need some TLC- some polishing and new seat cushions. Set includes 5 side chairs and 1 large side chair. Carved shell crest with scroll supports. Vase shaped splat. Drop in seats. Standing on cabriole legs with carved shell knees and ankles and ending in a simple clawed foot. Beautiful Vintage Set of 6 Thomasville Queen Anne Dining Chairs, Cherry, 1950s
This is a beautiful set of 6 dining room chairs made in the US by Thomasville. This old set was made in the late 1950s and has had only one owner. The style is Queen Anne and the wood is cherry. The cherry on these chairs has a walnut brown finish and not the usual dark red finish.They were well made and have been well taken care of over all of those years. They are sturdy and have their original upholstery and finish. The fabric is a design of stylized tulips woven with gold and off white. One of the 6 seats has some fading. Shown in the second to last photo. There are some light scuffs and minor scratches, but overall the condition is very good. These chairs are available for local pickup.
