Hard to find, triple-mirrored dressing table, includes 2 drawers and mirrors that swing in on each side. Drawers work fine, have dove tailed joints. Mirrors in good condition. Style of this vanity has influences of Mission with the straight lines, and also Empire with the curved scrolled front legs, typical of a late 19th century transitional piece. Regarding wood color, it is a medium oak. Some dark areas are shadows and white areas are reflections. As you can see this is a wonderful piece and could be used in many places in a home. Condition is very good, sturdy and clean, no odors, ready to go into your home. It is French from the 1880's- 1920(French revival period? It is solid oak or walnut It has brass hardware Also noted is that there are no known problems with the piece- nothing on it is broken. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. 18th century solid oak Butlers Hutch This was purchased over 30 years ago at the Antique Buyers guild( The old Helms Bakery L.A) We where told at the time of the purchase that it dates to the late 1700's and was made in the Adam period French in origin. It is a impressive piece of furniture. It is all hand carved solid oak. The cabinets each have one shelf inside bottom is sagging so I placed a piece of hard board in there. It has a incredible dark patina. It measures approx. 94 1/2" tall 47" wide under 24" deep The hutch is attached to the base using dowels So it lifts off the base From what I remember they only stick out a inch You need at least a 8' ceiling. My home was built in the late 1940's so the ceilings are 8'2" a newer home might be a tight fit. Years ago because I was concerned about earthquakes ... moreI attached 2) 2"x4"s to the back to make it sturdier. They are stained to match. So for those of you with a tight fit. I think it could be set up without the dowels across the back because of the 2" x4"s the 2 spindles in the front supporting the hutch also come off. There are dowels sticking out both ends. You could leave one end in and maybe put a screw trough the bottom. One other modification I noticed will up inside the cabinet is that wood was added on both sides under the base's top( I would guess the top may have been sagging under the weight of the Hutch) hence the addition. There are 2 small dowels missing on the rail on the inside( good place) hardly noticeable. One small piece gone off the top. Again hardly noticeable. I didn't catch it when I bought it. Other then that as you can see it is impressive without being over bearing. I don't need to sell so I don't plan on dropping my prices. This price is what I want to part with it. ANTIQUE FRENCH COUNTRY 18 c. OAK BIBLIOTHEQUE BUFFET BOOKCASE Formally the top part of an 18th century French Buffet a Deux Corps currently used as a bookcase. The bottom part was lost through the centuries and the top was raised on bun feet and rounded apron was added to the bottom. This transformation took place a while ago and the wood shows some aging and doesn’t stand out. Two doors open wide. Revealing the interior, which is about 52” from side to side ... moreand 13” deep and 52” tall. We have added two 1 ½” thick heavy duty pine shelves. Which are completely adjustable and will hold a lot of weight. The shelves were aged to look old and will not stand out. The front doors are covered with gathered French country style fabric. Which can be removed so that you can see the interior through the glass. The lock is in working condition, complete with the key. The bibliotheque measures about 59” at the widest point and about 20 ¾” deep. It stands up about 63 ½” tall and the top surface can be used as a shelf. Displaying collectable items. Very heavy. Solid and well built item. The primer material is oak. However, secondary woods was also used on the sides and the back, which is common for 18th Century furniture. We were using it in our office for files and fabric samplers and it is hard to find a bookcase which will fit oversized files and provide such great access as this item does. Not sure the names of the flowers. Another small dental border below. The top finishes with some kind of scalloped drop, again with a different carving inside the drops. The back huge 23" high x 59.5" wide beveled mirror is outlined with egg and dart carving. There are two 26" high x 5" wide barley twist corner posts that are joined by carved scrolled support. The support posts are also carved to the max with ribbing. Acanthus leaves ending in a rolled foot. Of course the mirror top and posts come apart from the bottom for moving. The bottom features two large 29" wide x 4 1/4" high drawers which are carved to cant downwards. Each front is vertical ribbed. The hand cast drawer pulls are gorgeous! Antique Carved Oak Court Cupboard Server Made England
This is a very nice solid oak court cupboard. l would like to say it circa 1690. But lam not sure if the carving on the top is original. l bought it in England. And thought it was a fantastic cupboard. looking at the cupboard it is very old and l think its certainly a few hundred years old. But in the Victorian days they used to alter things, so it gives me the impression that it could have been altered maybe 100 years ago. So lam selling it as it is. Lts still a great piece of furniture and the carvings are superb. The top comes of the base so it is easy to transport. 58 wide. 18 deep, 75 high.

The buffet is surmounted by a deep moulding and pollard oak veneered top with a matched moulded edge and a raised gallery back with acanthus leaf carved pilasters, a pollard oak centre panel surmounted by a fabulous crest with pollard oak veneers and decorative floral carvings with a centre panel carved with a vacant cartouche of shield form flanked by foliate scrollwork and surmounted by an arched frieze with a decorative carved scrolled shell. The buffet is stamped, on each drawer, Jas Shoolbred& Co. the drawers having solid mahogany linings with hand-cut dovetail joints, numberd"3265" retaining the original handles which have a matched shell motif with a floral heart to the centre and shaped droppers. Here is an exquisite. Massive, Antique 19th cent. American(probably Horner) quarter sawn oak sideboard buffet server. Straight out of a Long Island estate. Was in the same family for 70 years. This piece was made around 1880 and represents carved oak at its best. Incredibly carved with lions' heads. Paws, ribbons, and scrolls. Doors are all carved scrolls with center cartouche. They are separated by 2 columns of carved ribbons and fruit. The drawers above have handles of lions' faces. The top is crowned with an incredible lion head. The only condition issues are a small ring stain and a darker area on the top front right. Also a thin slit in the wood appx 18 inch long. These are very minor and can easily be fixed. Stunning antique oak French Provincial style buffet. This generously sized piece has plenty of storage space and two shelves that could be used for serving. The fronts of the two main doors are carved with a motif of ribbons and musical instruments and there are simple flowers adorning the valanced and scrolled skirt. Panelled doors. Sides and back. Drawer pulls and other hardware look like antiqued brass. Each of the narrow side cabinets have two shelves that come with them, but are not currently installed. The back of the lower shelf has been covered in a white textured paper that is very pretty, but likely not original to the piece. Unsure of the buffet's exct age, but believe it to date from the late 1800's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. ANTIQUE FRENCH CARVED OAK BUFFET RENAISSANCE HENRI II
This buffet comes in 3 major pieces. It can be taken apart very easily for cleaning. Maintenance or repairs. It also ships very easily on wooden crates. It has an original finish to it, and was never varnished. The best way to maintain is to oil them regularly as they have been for the last century. This buffet shows evidence that it has been restored one or several times. It probably sustained some damage and needed repairs. It appears that there is also a combination of wood. Oak being of them. The stained glass seemed to be original, could be the central point of interest, but the carved and turned columns is certainly the central focal point of this buffet. The dresser stands on pad feet with turned tapering legs to the front and square legs to the rear with a shaped pierced apron to both the sides and front and matched raised moulded drawer fronts with 17th/ 18th Century period style brass batwing handles with shaped droppers. Each of the drawes comes with its original lock and escutcheon although we have no keys to the drawers. However it would be relatively easy to have drawers made. The drawers have oak linings with dovetail joints, which are hand-cut. I LOVE THE UNIQUE AND WHEN THIS CAME UP AT A LOCAL ESTATE SALE. I HAD TO HAVE IT. THIS IS A VERY UNUSUAL AND BEAUTIFUL PASTRY CABINET OR BUFFET. IT IS OAK WITH LOVELY PIERCE CARVINGS. THE CARVING AT THE CREST OF THE SCALLOPED AND BEVELED MIRROR IS A PINEAPPLE. THERE IS A CHIP OR TWO IN THE WOOD. SMALL AND TYPICAL FOR AGE) THE HARDWARE IS MOST UNUSUAL AS WELL. IT IS SORT OF A BLACK IRON WITH WHAT APPEARS TO BE AN EARLY CELLULOID INSERT. ALL DRAWERS AND DOORS LOCKED AT SOME POINT- I DO NOT HAVE A KEY. ONE KNOB IS MISSING AS WELL. THE CABINET IS MADE WITH DOVETAIL CONSTRUCTION. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS CALLED A PASTRY SIDEBOARD.I LOVE THE CURVED SIDE CABINETS WITH THE BOWED ORIGINAL GLASS.
