The buffet is made of solid wood, and has a gorgeous, burled veneer finish. The buffet is in great condition, particularly for an antique, but it does have a few issues. There is one place at a corner of the large center drawer where there is a chunk missing. This chunk can be seen in the photos. It is still with the buffet and will just need to be repaired. There are also a few areas where there is some veneer loss. The bottom corner on the front bottom is beginning to separate and will also need some light repair. These can also be seen in the photos.

The credenza has a slight serpentine shape, and paneled doors on each end with an attractive curving style. The crendenza has five (5) drawers, one of which has dividers built-in for flatware, and two (2) doors, that each open into large storage compartments with plenty of space and adjustable shelves in each. The crendenza has short curved legs. There are some small areas of veneer loss on the front of the piece, and these areas can be seen in the photos. There are some stains inside the drawers, which have dovetail joints. I am unsure of its age or manufacture of the piece.

Antique Carved Solid Oak French Renaissance Butler's Sideboard Buffet Plate Rack
Up for your consideration is this very impressive piece that has been in our family for 40 years. It was bought from an antique store and were told the following at that time. It is French from the 1880's- 1920(French revival period? It is solid oak or walnut It has brass hardware Also noted is that there are no known problems with the piece- nothing on it is broken. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. There is an ornate plate rack on the back of the serving surface. There are beautiful. Ornate carvings ... moreon all areas of this beautiful piece. There are elegant brass drawer pulls. We believe that the top lifts off of the bottom part for transport. I'm happy to answer questions on this piece to the best of my ability. But am not an antiques expert.

18th century solid oak Butlers Hutch This was purchased over 30 years ago at the Antique Buyers guild( The old Helms Bakery L.A) We where told at the time of the purchase that it dates to the late 1700's and was made in the Adam period French in origin. It is a impressive piece of furniture. It is all hand carved solid oak. The cabinets each have one shelf inside bottom is sagging so I placed a piece of hard board in there. It has a incredible dark patina. It measures approx. 94 1/2" tall 47" wide under 24" deep The hutch is attached to the base using dowels So it lifts off the base From what I remember they only stick out a inch You need at least a 8' ceiling. My home was built in the late 1940's so the ceilings are 8'2" a newer home might be a tight fit. Years ago because I was concerned about earthquakes ... moreI attached 2) 2"x4"s to the back to make it sturdier. They are stained to match. So for those of you with a tight fit. I think it could be set up without the dowels across the back because of the 2" x4"s the 2 spindles in the front supporting the hutch also come off. There are dowels sticking out both ends. You could leave one end in and maybe put a screw trough the bottom. One other modification I noticed will up inside the cabinet is that wood was added on both sides under the base's top( I would guess the top may have been sagging under the weight of the Hutch) hence the addition. There are 2 small dowels missing on the rail on the inside( good place) hardly noticeable. One small piece gone off the top. Again hardly noticeable. I didn't catch it when I bought it. Other then that as you can see it is impressive without being over bearing. I don't need to sell so I don't plan on dropping my prices. This price is what I want to part with it. This fabulous English oak solid wood sideboard is 2 sections- top and bottom. The bottom has 4 drawers and 3 cupboards- the 2 center drawers are bowed. The cupboard side doors are single and center cupboard is a double door. It features a bowed carved front between the drawers and the center compartment- center cupboard is open up into that bowed area. Original brass"butterfly" hardware with a stylized design- one broken handle on bottom center door. The top section features 3 beveled mirrors and 4 shelves supported by carved columns. There is a sunflower motif on the pediment top center along with multiple carved flowers and leaf designs all over the front. Scrolls along the very top and sides. There is 1 finial piece missing on the right rear post. Mirrors are original and in mint condition, the silvering is in very good shape. ... moreOriginal finish in mint condition. Solid Wood, Antique, Heavily Carved Buffet / Sideboard / Cabinet

At more than 9.5' wide. 6' tall, and 23" deep this massive decorative oak(I think) piece is absolutely amazing to look at. I recently moved from an much larger house and really do not have the room for this any more. This is HEAVILY carved and EXTREMELY decorative. The top section comes off for moving, but the bottom half will require at least 4 men to move it. This piece has 7 locking doors. 4 drawers and 9 beautifully carved unique outdoor scenes. There is one shelf running the length of the top and one behind the doors on the bottom. This truly must be seen to be fully appreciated. I am not sure of the age. But some have estimated 1860's. There are no obvious markings indicating origin or age. Overall the piece is in very very ... moregood condition. There are two areas of damage. On the very top there is a crack and some damage on the underside of the top concealed behind the right pillar. I can email you additional pictures if interested in seeing anything else. Antique late Victorian/Edwardian solid golden oak sideboard
Beautiful late Victorian early Edwardian solid oak sideboard. This piece has two locking cupboards with central"dog kennel" and drawer above. The doors have a fielded panel with intricate brass handles with original key. The drawer also has matching brass handles. One cupboard has two pull out trays. There is a shaped plinth on three sides with turned feet.Please see pictures for the damage to one foot. This sideboard would at some point of had a dresser top which has been replaced with a upstand. There is fine reeding detail to the front side. The colour is a beautiful golden oak. It has a gorgeous grain which could be further enhanced by a French polish. This piece weighs very heavy and measures length 71ins width 22ins height to top of upstand 42ins. Elizabethan Solid Wood, Antique, Heavily Carved Buffet / Sideboard / Cabinet
At more than 9.5' wide. 6' tall, and 23" deep this massive decorative Brazilian oak(So I have been told) piece is absolutely amazing to look at. I recently moved from an much larger house and really do not have the room for this any more. This is HEAVILY carved and EXTREMELY detailed. The top section comes off for moving. But the bottom half will require at least 4-6 men to move it. This piece has 7 locking doors. 4 drawers and 9 beautifully carved unique outdoor scenes. There is one shelf running the length of the top and one behind the doors on the bottom. This is all hand-made. It truly must be seen to be fully appreciated. I am not sure of the age. But one professional assessment put it in the Elizabethan period. There are no obvious markings indicating origin or age. Overall the piece is in very very good condition. Antique Carved Solid Walnut China Closet Breakfront Sideboard - Circa 1850
Absolutely stunning solid walnut carved china closet. I have owned this piece for the last 38 years. Sadly. It is time to downsize and this piece simply cannot come with me. It originally came out of an old estate in Beloit, Wisconsin. It has no real finish on it. I have kept the wood oiled and natural. The glass is all original to the piece. The corners are hand blown round glass that fit perfectly into the scrolling. Everyone who ever came into my home admired it-a piece of art really. Overall. It measures 8'10" tall x 5' 6" wide. The bottom piece is 43.25" tall x 66.25" wide x 23" deep. The top is 62" tall x 65.5" wide x 17.5" deep. I measured from the widest parts(trim pieces included) I have all the original keys, but some of the locks no longer function as they should.
