This particular piece has a breakfront where the marble steps out in the middle, carved pillars coming down through the center door, outside doors and right across the top is all burl walnut with dainty inlaid trim. The two doors open on the base to expose a shelf interior. The center is the mirror panel with the pillars and is not a door. You have a double door front and a center with carved pillars. The looking glass is scratched and worn, which adds charm and character. The inlaid appears to be in nice shape.

Being offered for sale is this very Large Victorian Tiger Oak Sideboard/ Buffet with Carved North Wind Faces. Brass North Wind Pulls and Carved Paw Feet circa 1895. This outstanding 19th century sideboard features an abundance of detailed carvings from top to bottom and has three working keys, the original beveled mirrors and the original ornate brass hardware. This sideboard measures a total height from the floor to the top of the carved pediment at the back of 80 inches. With a height to the base at the front of 37 3/4 inches, total width of 59 1/2 inches and depth at the base portion of 24 inches and this massive sideboard weighs approximately 250 lbs and does disassemble into 2 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The fine display shelf measures 59 inches wide by 13 inches deep and is 21 1/2 inches in height from the ... moretop of the base. This tiger oak sideboard is very solid and tight and has a gorgeous presence. The three keys work the locks on the drawers(one key for each drawer) but neither of the keys work the locks on the cabinet doors. The top right drawer does have divided compartments for flatware with newer green felt lining. We believe the large beveled mirrors to be original or at least antique replacements and there is some light spotting and some mild silver loss as common in old mirrors. The top mirror does show a small fracture in the bottom right corner that appears to have been there for sometime and not a major issue in my opinion but there. I have a close up picture of this area. The very front right corner of the sideboard base shows some wear and scuffing please see picture and as common in antiques the top of the sideboard does show some age and usage marks one expects to see on pieces over 100 years old.This outstanding sideboard/ buffet offers a tremendous amount of storage space and is definitely a statement piece to add to your dining area. Stunning Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut& Burl Marble Top Sideboard Buffet c1875 Being offered for sale is this exquisite Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut and Burl Walnut Sideboard/ Buffet with a beautiful egg cartouche and graped carved crest. Dropped finials, rosettes and recessed oval panels of burl with filigree burl panels encasing the ovals.The drawer pulls are masterfully carved and the unique original key works all the locks on the drawers. The drawer ends offer period dove-tailing and there is old felt lining inside each drawer.The details on this 19th century sideboard/ buffet are truly beautiful, truly a statement piece! This piece measures a total height of 84 inches to the top of the crest. Total width of 55 1/4 inches, height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 36 inches,total depth of the base is 21 ... moreinches, and this piece weighs approximately 160 lbs total and does dis-assemble into four pieces(base, marble, shelf portion, crest)for easier handling during shipping and moving. The Lovely display shelf measures 48 inches wide,12 inches deep and is 23 inches from the shelf to the marble. The original key does work the locks on the drawers but just aids in opening the doors.The locks are there but appear stuck. This fabulous 19th century sideboard has a wow presence for sure and is solid and tight and in excellent antique condition for being approximately 130 years or so old. There is a small piece of the grapevine carving missing at the tip end of the grape cluster on the crest, and a tiny piece of molding missing on the right side right above the marble(see next to last picture) and the left door does present with a slight age shrinkage separation in the center that is not very noticeable but there, all which I have tried to capture in the pictures, nothing major in my opinion but wanted to point them out. An impressive, elegant sideboard that has withstood time very gracefully and would surely be a splendid focal point and a touch of elegance and grandeur to your home. P

Beautiful Victorian Eastlake walnut sideboard/buffet with marble top. It has 2 drawers and 2 doors. Each drawer has 2 hand carved leaves and nuts wood pulls. One of the pulls has a small chipped edge and screws have been placed through it. Drawers have hand cut dove tails. Each door features recessed oval panels of burl walnut. Drawers and doors have wooden keyhole covers. The marble top has normal wear for age-some stains and small chips-no cracks noted. FRENCH VICTORIAN CARVED OAK BUFFET WITH MARBLE TOP
This very special piece. Which dates from the 1890s, is part of an estate collection. It’s decorated with gracefully carved ribbon and bow motifs, with three framed, beveled mirrors. It has its original delicately detailed hardware and beautiful golden finish. While this buffet is grand and has plenty of storage room. It’s compact enough to fit nicely in a relatively small space. It measures 19 ¾” deep by 43 ½”wide by 78 ¾” high. Similar pieces with much less interesting carvings sell for $2,000 or more. Antique Victorian Burl Walnut Marble Top Server c. 1800's Sideboard Buffet
Gorgeous Victorian era marble top server or sideboard. This beautiful piece has been capped with a gray and white marble top with rounded corners. The server show signs of high-quality construction including a paneled back and sides and sturdy dovetail joint drawers. The two drawers have fluted edges surrounding burl walnut inlay. Pressed brass pulls with a sun-like like design and silver-friendly linings. The lower cabinet has two doors, each with a burl walnut panel framed in a molded edge. The ring shaped pulls and brass escutcheons are made from brass. This piece most likely dates from the late 19th century. No maker's marks. The server is in good antique condition with some small holes in the marble top. See pictured example. The locks have been removed. But are being stored in one of the drawers and could probably be easily reinstalled ... moreby the buyer. Otherwise, there is only light wear commensurate with age and use. No other breaks or visible repairs. This timeless piece stands 36 1/4" tall and measures 54" wide and about 20 1/2" deep.
